I first looked into the Mash Motors Duramax swap on my 2003 Hummer H2 about 10 years ago to address how underpowered it was and to remedy the terrible gas mileage. After many years of daydreaming, last year finances finally allowed me the opportunity to send my downpayment for the build. After numerous calls to Mike regarding all of the aspects of the build I opted for the higher HP option for the conversion. Mike was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions each time I called. I shipped my H2 to Mike in the middle of March hoping that the finished product would be everything I had been hoping for. This allowed me an opportunity to watch the actual process and see what shape the old components were in during tear down. I will admit that it was a bit surprising to see just how far the teardown had to go before the reconstruction process could begin. Toward the end of April the project was finished and ready for the long drive home. My excitement level was pretty high during the flight to Wichita to meet Mike and reacquaint myself with my H2 after Mike & his crew had worked their magic on it. Mike picked us in the finished H2 and the drive back to his shop was quite impressive to say the least. I was amazed by the amount of horsepower it had while maintaining great drivability. While at the shop Mike went over every aspect of the build in extreme detail and showed us his collection along with the other builds that were in progress. Mike’s attention to detail and knowledge of everything Hummer is quite impressive. After spending a few hours asking every question I could imagine it was time for the long 1200 mile journey home. I was a bit nervous about the trip knowing all of the work that had been performed but Mike assured me that this was very routine. A couple hundred miles into the trip it became clear that the Monster H2 Mike had created for me was smooth, powerful and reliable. The next 1000 miles of the journey were extremely comfortable and enjoyable. It is amazing how clean and well thought out the conversion is. Mike is at the top of the list for creating these one of a kind machined and his attention to detail is world class. I look forward to working with Mike to complete the finishing touches on my H2 in the coming months. If you are looking to have a Duramax swap done I would highly recommend Mash Motors. It was Excellent, Mike is just a walking book of knowledge, always helpful and always figures out the problem with ease.

In the three months since giving him 30k, I've had to replace the water pump, 2 lower radiator hoses due to setup flaws, O2 sensor, rradiator cap, edo the exhaust, differential mount, rack and pinion, numerous missing and broken bolts,and realiy some personal items were missing. Promises mean nothing to him.

Worst experience of my life. I sent my Hummer H2 to Mash Motors to have a duramax swap installed and it's been an absolute nightmare!! Mike charged me for many parts he didn't change, completely botched the install. I've had tons of electrical issue's, turbo boost issues due to a hack job on the turbo piping and failed to replace gaskets. I've tried calling numerous times with no help from Mike. Thank God for Preditor inc out of Florida for walking my mechanic through and trouble shooting at no charge. Mike also told me my H2 needs brakes all around and would cost $1000 I told him I'll do them myself and when I got the truck back asll brakes were over 75% he's a lying con artist. Stay far away from this POS!!!!

Sent a good running H3 Hummer with 80K miles to shop from Texas Jan 2022. After $30K for an LS3 Swap got a vehicle that I can’t drive because it over heats.
