I just had the best experience with two employees who I wish I would’ve gotten their names. There was a miscommunication over the phone about a product being in stock, when I arrived and we came to the conclusion it was in fact not in stock they completely took care of me and apologized for the miscommunication that had made me drive all the way out here. Completely turned my day around!!! Thank you for taking care of the customer and being so sweet and understanding!!!

Honesty 10/10 experience every time I go into this location. The employees are super helpful and are willing price match. Great selection of shooting goods. Favorite sporting goods in Wichita.

i'd gone out for Chiefs Superbowl gear day after their win & thought Kansas Sampler would be a safe bet, but their selection was disappointing. so i hightailed it over to Academy & their selection was AMAZING! they had plenty of stock & multiple shirt/hat/misc options to choose from. Academy is definitely going to be my first stop from now on

Well it was a surprise to me because they had such a big selection and they have designated areas for alot of things they have shoes also witch are really nice and there clearance is good too! They of course have alot of stuff for sports and working out and for hunting stuff like that so 5 stars!

This visit was solely for the purpose of buying Crocs for my kiddo. I am extremely happy that I went because certain brands of shoes were on sale, and I got a really great deal on two pairs of shoes!

This place just has everything. I love their selection of shoes and if you're into sports, they can take care of you. I highly recommend.

Entertaining place, saw some guy with a "service dog" which was completely untrained, so not really a service dog, it ran wild, and watched him several boxes of ammunition, like 8 or 10 boxes. Makes you feel secure.

Tyler was very helpful in discussing and choosing the right running shoe for me (even though I will be walking). I needed a shoe with great arch support that was still comfortable and giving at the same time. I love my new Brooks! He also helped me order 2 more pairs of the same size shoes to be delivered to my home. Thanks Tyler, you are awesome!

Had everything we needed at a pretty decent price

They have some really cute "Fishmas" pajama pants, shirts, blankets and socks. I had to buy some of this.

Academy has the best pricing on name brand clothing. The spices they offer for grilling are wonderful. The new general manager is actually interested in what the customer is looking for and will to track the item down even if that means calling you later with the information.

Got a great deal on a gun safe! They were doing military discount for veterans day through 13 November. So I got another 10% off. Came in alot fast than the online estimate. They loaded it for me and off I went!

I have to say this place really surprised me. I'd been looking for low cost way to get my work out life restarted. I tried looking at facebook marketplace but they could hardly compete with Academy Sports. The staff, particularly AJ, Adrian and Alex were awesome. I went twice today because I had such a great experience. These three guys we're very knowledgeable about exactly what I needed. Alex helped me getting a low cost barbell and even sacrificed his personal phone dropping just to go above and beyond. I had a lot of questions about a lot of specifics and he and they were very well prepared to answer and meet the needs I had. AJ/Adrian both jumped to help me with a smile and skip in their step. Their customer service skills should be a highly valued as an employer and as a customer it made the experience quite pleasant. I plan to come here exclusively as I get stronger and need more weights :) I appreciate the encouragement!

I come here to look at three things, Guns, clothes, and surprisingly, supplements. They have brands like Ryse, Optimum, Ghost, Dymatize, and P1. Years ago they didn’t have any supplements, now I’m mind blown to just look and see what they have. Workers are nice and chill, and the bathrooms are pretty clean as well.

My kid is going to lose his head over this AWESOME BIKE!!! Thank nice guy for working with me!! Customer service ALL THE WAY!!!
