I've taken my vehicles there a couple times. I like that you get a written estimate with their diagnosis of what's wrong with your vehicle. Most importantly they fixed the issues. They were communicative the entire time. They found out the underlying cause to my vehicles problems and their work has been solid. I will recommend them and would use them again. They do a good job.

This is the second time I have used this garage and both times the work was done well,. On this occasion the job took 2 weeks which was understandable given the complexity of the service and Desert Automotive gave me timely information regarding each stage of the repair. I would use this shop again.

As a maintenance technician, I did not have spare time to repair my vehicle. I sent my Silverado in for transmission solenoid replacement. The automotive technician did a far better job. Torx bolts were replaced with a better quality bolt and instead of bending brackets for quick access they took more time to remove them. Great job!!!

Let me start by saying that if I could give Desert Automotive 100 stars, I would!!!! I recently bought this 2009 Civic from a coworker, he overheated the car and ran it for quite some time. He had the car taken to Pep Boys in Las Cruces. Pep Boys told him that the head gasket was blown as well as the head warped, the job was quoted around 3k to 3500 to fix, the mechanic there also offered to buy the car as is for 2500. I offered to buy the car and was given a great deal as is price. I called around to quite a few shops in the las cruces and el paso are and this shop kind of stood out to me because of the great reviews. I was told that it was going to be a couple of weeks before they could get it in as they were extremely busy, I had the car towed there on a Wednesday. At the time of drop off, I let the mechanic and shop know that I still had not seen the inside or the engine of the car at all and was looking for them to just let me know whatever it needed. I was told that if it was the head gasket it may be quite a bit. I was told that I would be called with a quote before they moved forward with repairs. On Friday morning less than 2 days later i got a call saying the car was fixed. I panicked and did not know how it could be done so quickly and without approval. The mechanic politely shared a joke with me and absolutely made my day when he said I only had a faulty radiator cap. I expressed how mind blown I was that I could've completely been taken advantage of. I will not ever take any of my cars to any other shop at all. I wish I could have put this into a movie so i didn't have to write and honestly these words do not do the shop justice. If anyone is hesitant about finding and honest, reliable and reputable place to take care of your cars, look no further cause this is the place for you. Thanks to Desert Automotive, My Daughter now has her first car we both couldn't be happier that Desert Automotive. Thank you ALL!!!!!! i've never thought I would look forward to seeing an automotive repair shop, but now I know I won't be robbed or cheated.

These guys are the best -- they treated me with dignity and respect and listened to my concerns about my vehicle. I had just removed my truck from a dealership that quoted me close to 8 thousand to repair the truck. The crew at Desert did an excellent job of troubleshooting and the repair was well below my expectation of cost. All in all they are the best of the best and I will certainly without question use them again as needed. Its always a pleasure to discover a great shop that gives great service and a respectable price but more importantly treats the customer with a level of respect seldom seen these days. As a disabled Vet I will put my trust in the hands of a veteran owned and operated business such as Desert Automotive. Great job

I cannot recommend Ira and the good folks here enough. I took a camping trip to New Mexico from Denver, and my car ended up breaking down in the middle of nowhere. The nearest town was Las Cruces, and I’m so glad I chose a tow to Desert Automotive. Ira was very honest about what was wrong with my car, fixed what he could, before saying I could probably make it back Denver for the bigger issues, which would take a long time to even receive the parts for. He even talked to my dad on the phone. I will be forever grateful to Ira for helping me get out of a really unfortunate situation!! It’s very rare to meet good people like that in the world.

They changed the spark plugs on a 2001 f-150. I knew that I couldn’t do it and that the plugs are know to break off while trying to remove. They advised me of that without asking also give me the price. I recommend Desert Automotive to everyone. Outstanding customer service and work performed.

I’ve been a customer here for the past 4-5 years. I drive an older vehicle and it has required frequent maintenance. I am pleased to say that I have received top notch service from Ryan and staff at Desert Auto. They are very professional, personable, trustworthy and charge fair prices. They know me by name every time I call. They have often gone above and beyond to meet my needs in various ways. Some examples include giving me a ride to work, lending me a truck to drive to work, dropping my car off at my work upon completion, and working me in quickly despite a busy schedule. I am very grateful for their help in servicing my vehicle. I recommend them to anyone without reservations.

If your look for a shop this is the one! I was in from out of town having car problems. They got me in fast and did just what was needed to get my car home 1200 miles to Missouri. They did not try to take advantage of my situation and we’re all very kind. They made me feel 100% confident my car was going to make the drive and it did. Thank you Desert Auto we made it!

The folks at Desert Automotive are the rock stars of the torque wrench. Very knowledgeable. Very helpful. Very fair. In 54 years I’ve never found a better Auto Service Shop.

My parents came down from Wyoming to visit and my dad‘s rear differential started leaking. It was the only automotive shop in town that got him in the next day and their car fixed before they had to head home. My wife and I were in town visiting relatives from AZ when I noticed a fan on in the engine compartment of my Jeep Wrangler when we stopped at our hotel. Not good. After finding what looked like chocolate milk in my radiator the next morning I called the shop, got a worst case scenario price, an estimated time for repairs to be done, a retired military discount and handed over my keys. Before the quoted time and well under the worst case scenario price I have my Jeep back in AZ running like top. Veteran owned and a group of people that care about what they do and how they taken care of the customer. Highly recommend!!!!

Ryan and the group at Desert Automotive have come to be the auto repair shop I rely on. They are both personable and reliable. I have brought my car there multiple times for varying reasons and they are always quick to inform me upfront about what’s going on with my car.They also follow up to to ensure that the job was done right. We initially brought our car to the Subaru dealership in El Paso, but found Desert Automotive much more cost conscious and without all the hassle. They have a Subaru tech that’s great. Even during times of Covid with staffing shortages and difficulty in getting parts quickly, these guys do their best to do a good job as quickly as possible. If you are looking for an honest and knowledgeable group to take care of your car on town, this is the place.

I found Desert Automotive through Instagram and a need for repairs on my Suburu Forester. Ryan has been taking care of us for two years now and i have no complaints. His service and considerate attitude has been a pleasure to work with and we now get our Honda Accord and my Forester serviced here regularly.
I did a full front end on the Forester and the usual maintenance checkups. We had some A/C work done on the Accord which is a dinosaur 2004 still running like a champ. We get text notices on discounts and reminders to get oil changes.
You’re always skeptical and looking high and low for a steady mechanic. I’ve found that loyalty goes both ways. So give whoever you work with a chance and stick with them. And if you have something to say, share it with the shop before ranting and reacting. Desert Automotive has always answered my questions and calmed my anxious expectations.
Good mechanics are hard to find they always say. 😉

Desert Automotive is my ''go to' auto shop for almost a decade now. Always clear in describing the problem and the solution. Excellent, thorough, professional, and honest service. Once refused to charge me the originally mentioned price because it seems the problem turned out to be smaller than expected. They worked on four different cars for me over the years and the problems never came back. Highly recommend.

Very helpful and easy to work with. Will be using them for any issues in the future.
