Rosario's Trattoria & Pizzeria

Great restaurant! Italian food is abundant in this area, but there's always gems, this is one. Pizza place....yes. Italian restaurant.....yes. best of both worlds. We have gone on Christmas Eve twice in addition to "regular" days and the food and service are just as good.

BYOB. The Saltimbocca is great (chicken or veal), pasta dishes are great, fish specials are always tasty. The Calamari Rosario you HAVE to have. Best way of serving ever.

I have been eating here for nearly 2 decades. This is our go to for holiday catering & when family comes to visit. Always amazing specials to try & the wait staff is a pleasure!! Thank you Rosario for all the fantastic memories here.

Got the 3 sauce slice and tortellini slice today. The vodka pesto tomato sauce slice had a crisp thin crust and a blend of flavors in every bite. The tortellini slice had vodka sauce that played nice with the pasta cheese filling.

We had an excellent experience here at the beginning of the summer. There is a pizza place on one side and a restaurant area on the other. We went around 5pm on a Saturday and were seated promptly. By 6PM, the dining room was full and we knew we made the right choice coming here. It is a BYOB. Every single person finished their meal! The salad was fresh. The eggplant Parmesan was one of the best I’ve ever had. The seafood ravioli was great. My mother who never finishes her food, finished it! My son and husband also loved the pizza. The prices are fair for the quality of food you get. This is a place we plan to go regularly and order out from.

The chicken parm half tray was awesome, a lifesaver for our Xmas party. Highly recommended, including the grandma pie!

Food is excellent and the place is good for large families to gather too. Party of 12 was easily accommodated.

Our family enjoyed everything about this restaurant. Excellent service. Appetizers, salads, and our main dinners were delicious! Chocolate Lava was absolutely the yummiest.

We were a party of 6. Seated on time for our reservation. The restaurant was pretty much at capacity, but did not feel crowded. It was not church quiet, but our party could converse and hear other. Food was delicious. Calamari a la Rosario was outstanding. Everyone was pleased with his or her entree, enjoying generous servings of grilled branzino, salmon fresco, chicken and chicken saltinbocca. Each entree was preceded by a tasty salad. I highly recommend this restaurant for the impeccable service and delicious dinner.

The best garlic knots I have ever had. Rosario's quality of food has been extremely consistent and they are very good about accommodations for special requests.

The place was superb , clean and food was delicious. The best was the waiter we had I can not remember his name but very tall . He was so nice ..

Went to dinner for my birthday and the food and service was great. Brett was fantastic and very helpful. I look forward to coming back sometime soon

It is rare that I provide 5 stars for restaurants and I think the rating system for Yelp should be between 1 to 10 so that I can be more fair. I rated them 5 but would say it's 8.5 which is still quite excellent. I felt it was necessary because of the following reasons.

Quality and freshness of food was very good
Variety was very good
Time to serve was normal
Seating was fine
Comfort and noise level was low
Ambience was fine
Professionalism of staff was very friendly
Parking was easy and plentiful
It's byob which is fine by us

Been there many times. The menu has many and various selections. Prices are reasonable, but “specials” can be higher. Fairly big portions, so you may be eating it the next night. I especially like their Rigatoni Bolognese, which is the best I’ve ever had. Service, including bus staff, is good, knowledgeable, accommodating. Always confused on reservations. Sometimes you need them, sometimes you don’t. Anyway, the wait is not too long if don’t have one. The place always has a decent crowd of locals.

Calamari Rosario is the best EVER.

My husband and I have been coming to Rosario’s for a few years. We are always bringing our friends and family as well. Everyone we have gone with or brought with us, has NEVER been disappointed with any of their dishes.
We start off with Calamari Rosario.. and the Bronzino is also very delicious! If you’re looking to have a good meal with a warm comfortable atmosphere, this is your place! bon appetite!

Food was excellent. Had the Short Ribs ravioli. Also, the burrata appetizer was very good. We ate inside for the first time in a while and the tables were appropriately spaced out. Service was great as well.

Just an amazing local gem in Midland Park! I had a taste for spaghetti carbonara… It's not on the menu so I went into speak with the front desk to help figure out what item I could order closest to carbonara. The owner/chef overheard me and said "I will make that for you". 30 minutes later-I was indulging in one of my favorite dishes thanks to this amazing man who was kind and flexible enough to cook up a special order for me-even though the place was very busy! Everything we have had there has been over the top delicious! They deliver as well-and their takeout food arrives piping hot and delicious.

The food is clean, fresh and delicious. It’s consistently good. My family and I and friends have been dining there for years. Would highly recommend to all. The service and staff make you feel like family. 👍
