My coworker and I got some brisket fries from here, and they are really good! The staff was super helpful and kind, there wasn’t a long wait, and the fries were amazing! The meat was pull-apart good, the cheese was awesome, and there was bacon, which was a great surprise. I love little hole-in-the-wall places, and this one is fantastic! 10/10, would recommend to anyone wanting some good fries.

Wonderful family-owned local restaurant! Rewarding hole-in-the-wall find, with authentic New Mexican fare featuring the infamous Hatch Green Chiles. I was so glad I looked up this place and decided from other good reviews to pull off the highway from my cross-county road trip and take a lunch break. I had the delicious brisket green chile enchiladas, and a great conversation with one of the owners. I’d highly recommend a visit to this quaint cafe!

Small little place. Only taking drive through sue to COVID which is a plus to me. Had the mikes brisket nachos and brisket tacos and was pleasantry surprised. Its mexican style pulled brisket with a great flavor. The delicious tacos came in a soft yet crunchy tortilla shell topped with lettuce tomatoes with a side of salsa. The salsa alone had a very delightful taste. The cheese, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, and brisket with the tostadas made a great combination. Ordered the full size nachos and between two of us had plenty. (Also requested no beans on the nachos) i thought at was also super cute and their customer service shined with the thank you note on bag of utensils and napkins

I had Mike's Brisket Nachos, which come smothered in red chile, and they are ALWAYS fantastic. (But beware: A full order can feed two people!)

I'm a snowbird and came here specifically for the Navajo Taco because online reviews raved. It was worth the hype! Delicious! And the drive up service was fabulous! A must if your in Las Cruces!

One coworker ordered the brisket green enchiladas, and they were STUFFED with brisket! Another coworker ordered the red chile cheese fries, so much flavor! I ordered a single brisket taco (thumbs up!) and a single green cheese enchilada. It was very tasty, good flavor, and they put in a little side salad with the enchilada! (The small things make a BIG impression!) :)

El Patron Cafe has Excellent food. My favorite are the Tacos. Their Enchiladas are very good.😊

Had red brisket enchiladas and brisket burrito smothered in green sauce. Both were excellent. Chili con queso also excellent. Worth a visit. Small building. Big taste. Very friendly people who care about the quality of their food.

Absolutely delicious! They don't have Navajo tacos on the menu but if you ask nicely...... The lovely lady with mad skills will cook one up for you! She made me the most amazing Navajo taco topped with their yummy brisket. Hubby had the brisket nachos and they were unbelievably delicious. We are transplants from Washington state and love to see their love of our Seahawks all over their cute little restaurant. We will be back a lot! Yummy!

today was the first day I went in this restaurant. I had heard that they had the best brisket burritos in town. so that's what I ordered. they were very very good!!! besides the food being excellent, the service was outstanding as well!!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone that I meet!!! thank you for a truly outstanding experience!!! I will definitely be back!!! Ken

This place is almost perfect. You are going to be discouraged when you drive up to this little place and wonder about how this little hole could be worth your time. Trust me, go inside. Its clean. Their staff is great. And you are going to get super full. Their menu is surrounding home made delicious brisket. It is delicious. I mean eat so much you maoe yourself sick delicious. Forget going to a mexican place where the whole plate looks suspiciously like it was put through the blender before being served. This menu is unique and hardy. I loved it. (One note: could you please consider using fresh jalepenos rather than canned. I still give a perfect rating.)

It may not be for the insta crowd, but these perfectly executed comfort foods are a delicious treat for the rest of us. Try the nationally acclaimed brisket nachos, or green chili burger with seasoned fries, and you'll appreciate the humble brilliance of this tiny hole in the wall cafe. Everything is made fresh from scratch daily with local ingredients, and they even have keto options. Mind the hours so you don't miss, as my friend likes to say, "a legitimate cultural treasure".

Wow! I'm impressed! Hometown owners and family run restaurant with delicious food. I've been reviewing local restaurants and subjecting my family to trying them. The one we tried last week did not impress but El Patrón Café did. We shared the large brisket nachos which would have satisfied at least 3 people but we couldn't stop there. Stephanie and I also had red beef enchiladas. The sauce tasted great! My mom thought it was just right. I would have liked it a little hotter but I eat pretty hot chile. The beans and rice are excellent and I'm hard to please with both. My son, Tyler had the chicken tacos and I tried one. They may be better than my previous favorite of El Sombrero (and the express). My brother, Daniel had a piece of homemade strawberry cake that was perfect! We'll be going back on a regular basis. The prices are appropriate and the place is small and quaint.

This place is sincerely awesome! Their brisket is definetely the hype here! I had the brisket tacos. You can get them either soft or hard. My other friends got the bbq brisket quesadilla and the brisket nachos which I will be back soon to try!! They were huge!!!! Very reasonable prices and a kind, customer service staff! You gotta go and gotta try!

This has been my #1 favorite place to doordash since the 3 years I been here in Las Cruces. The nachos, brisket burger and burrito, and brisket sandwich are my go-to favorites. I hope to visit in person once I'm able to try their specials I regularly see on their facebook page.

Best brisket ever. Hands down. Would rate more than 5 stars if I could. I'm a food junkie and a food snob as many have said and this is easily my favorite restaurant of all time. Worth every penny every time
