My friend and I came here for a Friday night out and was blown awy. Both the pork and chicken Momo's were absolutely delightful, we shared the lamb matar, and ended with the caramel flan. Highly recommend this place for an Indian Nepalese fusion food.

My first Nepali restaurant experience. Very unique, compared to the food I know, it's similar to Indian cuisine, but with a twist.

Food ordered: Naan, Goat curry, Pork rib curry.

+ (10/10) The naan was so buttery, the exterior was crispy and the interior was a little fluffy yet still had structure.
+ (9/10)Goat curry was pretty good. The meat was very tender but not falling apart. It's also not too funky, which I like.
+ (7.5/10) I like the steamed bun that came with the pork rib curry more than the ribs themselves.
+ Service was very good, very tentative, offered to pack my leftovers.
- The front door sometimes won't close, so the cold air from outside blew through was not something I enjoyed.

A perfect dining experience for our anniversary. We had the pork momos, pork chow mein, goat curry, garlic naan, and a dessert I can’t remember. Everything was so amazing we couldn’t decide which item was our favourite. My husband is from the UK so he is a curry connoisseur. This was still probably the best curry we ever had!

What a wonderfully authentic and intimate restaurant. Straight forward menu. The food is killer with such vibrant flavors. Our server said their pork momo is the best thing and she was right—so good. Warm atmosphere and authentic Nepalese decor and staff. Service was fantastic. Will be back many times 🫶🏼 Thank you!

You need to run not walk to this restaurant! One of my new favourite spots in SF. Everything on the menu was perfection.

I've never had Nepalese food but all the flavours popped. From the different spices and textures, everyone was moaning with every bite.

We made a reservation, went in a big group, ordered family style, and licked the plates clean. The onion fritters were super crispy. Be warned the cauliflower plate is actually spicy. The butter chicken was some of the best I've had. But the star of the show was the Kale Chaat.

Very friendly staff, extremely reasonable prices. Big portion sizes. You will not leave disappointed from this place.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant in the heart of mission district in San Francisco . Delicious food (curry and else ) fried chicken was absolutely amazing especially with the sauce they have in the side . And the garlic naan was just the best I had in a long time .

Lovely restaurant with so many amazing dishes! We ordered way too much to share, but I'm glad we did. The momos and the chow mein were my favorite. Great customer service, very attentive and efficient. Will definitely be back

It has become our favorite Nepal restaurant. Been here many times starting this year when we found out they are open regularly back to the schedule. We tried all the sharable dishes (except some marinated in cilantro). All their momos have a soft wrap with delicious dipping creamy sauce, but the vegetable version is our favorite. Great job to "hide" coriander flavor in the veggie momos. We just tried chow-mein. Sounds like Chinese chow-mein on the menu, but it is tastier. Curry dishes with naan are very good too. Just too filling for us. Great chai and you can add sugar on your own.

This place deserves more hype :) The food felt modern and elevated while being absolutely delicious and well-portioned at extremely reasonable prices! Great ambience and service as well - they did forget one of our orders but was really nice about it so can't really complain. We ordered the momos, onion fritters, and samosas for the sides which were all pretty good. For the mains, we tried the cashew curry, butter chicken, and goat curry with garlic naans and they were all amazing! Would definitely come back.

Base Camp is a great choice for any occasion. It's where I take parents and friends when they visit town for special occasions, or just to treat myself on a casual night.

The menu has a great range of small bites (the pork momos are the best i've ever had) and the curry's and chow mein main dishes are all great, but the shrimp cashew curry and paneer ra matar are my go-to's! My partner is vegan and he is able to have dairy free modifications to every dish, which is really nice.

The customer service couldn't be better, and the owner's commitment to making the dishes authentic to regions all over Nepal is really special. There are a few new dishes that I noticed on the menu this week, so I tried the Aloo Cauliflower and it's a new favorite!

We came here after trying the sister restaurant, dancing yak, but loved base camp even more! Normally I skip chowmein but saw it was a signature dish so we tried it and it was so good. Spicy and not too oily like chowmein usually is. The octopus small dish, samosas and goat curry were our other favorites. Momos were good but not really worth it for the price (you get 4 in an order). We'll definitely be back to try other curries and small dishes!

A modern Nepali restaurant with beautiful decor in the Mission. And the food was bomb / diverse!

My friends loved the watermelon salad, as well as the veggie momos. The pumpkin curry was decent, but needed salt / lime / spices in our opinion. Their signature veggie chow mein was delicious, and had a lot going on in terms of flavor and textures (scallions, beans, char on tofu, etc). My favorite was the goat curry, which was rich and hearty, perfect for picking up with our order of garlic naan! Dining experience was great, but there was only one server so I’d suggest they hire another one to help cover the needs of the restaurant.

Definitely try this place out, and don’t forget to ask for green chutney and their chili concentrate.

Love the food here! The Kale Chaat and Cashew Curry were especially good. I’ve only ever ordered takeout from here but dining in was even better. Our server was very helpful and got us an extra plate of Momos after the kitchen closed 😋 Will definitely be back!

This place slaps! We called at 5:40pm on a Saturday and luckily they had a reservation cancel for 6pm so we were able to slip in. I loved the kale chaat as well as the chicken cashew curry. The chicken momo was excellent! Great selection of meat protein as well as vegetarian options. When we left around 8pm, there were a lot of people waiting outside. If you’re looking to dine here without a reservation, call ahead and you might find a space before 6pm.

An absolute delight. Lively energy all night with incredibly fast service. And don’t get me started on the food!! The pumpkin curry, ribs, chow mien, and vegetable momos were all unique and complex and delicious. and the NAAN!! holy smokes. Wish we could have tried everything! Very accommodating to allergies as well. If you are considering going here don’t even hesitate.

A delightful spot, exactly what you'd want in a neighborhood joint.

Menu has a reasonable selection, maintains relatively faithful to traditional flavor profiles, but with natural ingredients. Prices are very fair.

Importantly, the food is delicious. We got skewers, momos, chow fun, roti, goat curry, and dessert. Every single item was delicious.

Service was also worth calling out. Our server was one of the most cheerful servers we've ever met in our lives.

100% recommended. Nearly flawless.

Nice ambience, tasty food and good service. The naan was very soft and is a must try along with cashew curry.
I'd recommend them again.
