Such wonderful staff, Sebastian was fantastic and super friendly! I really enjoyed the breakfast tacos, the salsa is the perfect accent to bring them together. Had the hot chocolate and it was the perfect level of richness. Pairs great with their brown sugar chocolate chip cookies if you’re a chocoholic like me. Can’t wait to come back here many times over!

I loved visiting Costello’s! The vanilla latte I got was one of the best I’ve ever had- perfect temperature, balance of sweetness and rich espresso flavor, and just the right amount of froth. I’d definitely recommend it with oat milk. The quiche was also great. Overall, the cafe is super cute with its travel theme. I plan to come back on my next visit to Portland!

I can't say enough good things about Costello's Travel Caffe since the new owners took over! This place has truly become a hidden gem in the neighborhood. If you're looking for a cozy spot with delicious, handmade bakery items and an excellent selection of breakfast, lunch, and coffee shop treats, look no further.

The transformation is nothing short of remarkable. The commitment to making everything from scratch is evident in every bite. The aroma of freshly baked goods hits you as soon as you walk in, and it's hard to resist indulging in one (or more) of their delectable creations. From flaky pastries to mouthwatering sandwiches, Costello's offers a little something for every craving.

I must mention the baristas – they are top-notch! Their passion for coffee is apparent in every expertly crafted cup. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or just looking for a quick caffeine fix, you'll be impressed by the quality and consistency.

The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it an ideal place for a relaxing breakfast, a quick catch-up with friends over lunch, or some quiet time with your favorite book. The friendly and attentive staff only adds to the welcoming atmosphere.

Costello's Travel Caffe is a place where you'll find excellent food, great coffee, and warm hospitality. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone in search of a delightful dining experience. Kudos to the new owners for turning this into a true neighborhood treasure. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Love pastry made in the house, we tried Marionbeery scone. Then we shared meat quiche which was "fluffy and delicious and I could really taste the bacon(my fav), and Biscwitch which was more dense" and SO yummy. Everything was incredible good 👍🏼

New Management!!! It had been a few years since I had been in and now it is truly worth dropping back in for coffee and pastries! The new owners remind me of the original Costello owners who had bakers in the family, and the front of house has a warm vibe.

I ordered a blackberry scone, an Americano and a side of eggs. The scone was excellent and comes from an old Irish recipe. That seemed cool! Eggs were perfect and I loved my well prepared Americano.

The menu is simple but there are some great classics.

I know the original owners put their hearts into it, great to see the place come alive again.

I popped in for breakfast with a friend and their doggo. Order at the counter for table service. We found a table outside to accommodate doggo. Our server was really sweet and brought out a water bowl for the pup. Weekday mornings are the best time to pop on without a wait. We saw quite a few more people coming in as we were finishing up. We ordered the Farmers Scramble and Fruit-Hazelnut Waffle. Our conversation ceased when the food came out. The waffle was so fluffy and buttery. The blueberries on top were so light and really what I was craving. Both of our dishes were incredibly satisfying and the perfect portion size. I wasn't hungry or over-full.

Found this place randomly and I really liked it. Great selection of drinks and food with a world traveling theme. Super cozy, no frills, not pretentious. Great for studying or working. I sat outside which was perfect for people watching and fresh air. I got an iced chai latte and the club sandwich! Will be back!

Costello's is an excellent coffee shop, a wonderful breakfast spot and one of the best bakeries in Portland. They make the only decent snickerdoodle I've ever found at bakery in Oregon.

The shop has changed hands a few times in the past decade but the new owners as of 2023 are making huge improvements. It still feels like going back in time to Portland in the 90's though. If you ever have guests who want to experence what all the fuss was about when Portland was cheap and weird; Costello's is the genuine article.

My only complaint would be that the noise level can get pretty high when it's a full house and seating can be scarce during peak hours.

Do yourself a favor and come in on a rainy Wednesday morning for an avocado toast with fried eggs and jo jo's on the side. It's pure PNW hygge bliss.

A barista has purchased this place from the owner. The owner did a very good job but I think the Barista is a lot more focused on hours productivity and selection. He is taking something that was very good and up to the next level hopefully. He really has a passion for what he's doing and I'm very happy to go here and enjoy. When I do my laundry over at spin, I come over here. Since they are open later I will come in as well because a lot of other coffee shops still don't have good hours. These people do so if you want to study and buy things and eat and drink this is the place you should come to in this part of town. I'm kind of dietarily restricted but I've had some of their things and they're all top quality. The soup quiche salad desserts. I always get a heavy cream latte quad shot and they do have the heavy cream. They won't try to squeeze you half and half. These people are really on it and they deserve our patronage because other people are not stepping up like these people are. I really appreciate a very switched on entrepreneur that listens to customers. A great experience keeping the travel theme alive. Music is really good and not overpowering. Clientele is very cool

I really enjoyed my breakfast here. People were nice, the coffee was perfect and wasn't burnt or overly "green" like many shops. I had a breakfast sandwich that was also perfect. The bacon was crispy, the food was hot and the egg was cooked fully. Overall pretty perfect.

Costello’s Travel Cafe is a must-stop to eat!! Grab a patio table if the weather is nice. If not, enjoy sitting at a table in the warm and eclectic interior.

I ordered the Bacon and Berry salad with chicken. Phenomenal!! The chicken had a delicious herb crust, and the vinegarette was packed with flavor. I ordered an ice tea that was refreshing and tasty.

The staff was friendly, and the service was fast. I highly recommend Costello’s!!

Holy smokes. I'm quite surprised, the cold brew is delicious. Soft bodied but bold. Cold brew done right. I added vanilla so you get that tease of sweet and flavor. The coffee cake was delicious as well. It was a little dry but the taste made up for it. I'm more than sure it's perfect when fresh. Tables inside are for short people though. I should have ate outside in the patio but that has nothing to do with my experience, just poor choice of seating on my behalf. I love when I take myself on little coffee dates and everything is pleasant, makes me appreciate the little things. A good stop to enjoy a little treat and some good coffee. Might I add that I didn't get hot coffee but if the cold brew is done right, they definitely know a thing or two about brewing coffee.

Stopped in for a late breakfast and coffee the first morning of our week-long trip to Portland. We'll definitely be back more this week. Had the breakfast sandwich and quiche Lorraine and both were outstanding. The drip coffee was also perfect and paired nicely with one of their marionberry scones. Picked up the homemade trail bar to take with us on our hike and it might've been the highlight of our hike. I need to get that recipe!

Had some good coffee cake, they have a great selection. Same with quiche - a few to pick from. They have outdoor seating & friendly staff.

They also seem to attract chatty locals. We had a couple tables that chatted with us and each other. Great little spot and happy to be a part of their community.

The best breakfast I’ve had in a while! The fruit + hazelnut waffle was delicious and we also ordered an omelette to share, the caramelized onions are a MUST! Best part of the entire meal!

Costellos Travel Cafe's new owners Kyle and Tumiko are fabulous--kind and skilled with a genuine desire to create a lovely time for customers. Costellos has taken on the same feel from years ago of a caring, community gathering place. Tumiko makes all the baked goods which are divine. Perfectly trained barista's create exquisite coffee drinks and the menu offerings are luscious. It's a perfect place to meet friends and loved ones or settle in for some telecommuting. Check it out!!

This is a cute little Mom/Pop Shop. Loved it all!!! As soon as you enter you get a warm calm feeling (the staff calls frequent locals by their names) It was an awesome experience!! Food was sooo good! Made me feel at home. Definitely reccomend the waffles !!! And if you are picky(like me) they are very friendly and patient. I like a CaffeMocha but most places make it too sweet. I described what I wanted and they obliged me. They made me a CaffeMocha and added an extra shot to balance the sweetness. Custom Coffee + Delicious Waffle =Bliss 🥰
