Važecká cave

Nice "small" cave to visit. Easy accessible, from main road. Tour takes roughly 40 minutes and it's really interesting. You'll see bear bones from 30.000 years ago, many stalagmites and have an interesting tour with great guides.

We liked it here. The tour is a short one (around 40 minutes). Fun for kids of all age. They can guess what the rock formations look like ;) There are expositions of bones found in the cave. Enjoy the absolute dark, too :)

More than I expected. Really beautiful small tour. Take a coat.. It was cold like a refrigerator. Also very dark at one point. That was the fun part. Total blackness. Dont worry they turn the lights back on.

Me and my husband are very grateful for this cave’s staff, we arrived very early and there weren’t any other visitors at the time (there’s a rule that the tour can be hold only with minimum 4 ppl), so we been waiting for more visitors, no one showed up aaaand they made a tour only for two of us. The tour was pretty quick, but we very enjoyed that. Thank you again guys, best of luck!

You HAVE to visit the Važecká cave when you're in High Tatras! It's a really great alternative to hiking when the weather's not particularly nice. The cave is gorgeous, and it's history is fascinating - you can even see real bones of a bear species that used to live in the cave some 10 000 years ago! The staff are kind and knowledgeable - can only recommend visiting!

Small cave, parking free 20 meters from the entrance, adult entry 5€, kids 2,5€. Photo permission 10€. Walkthrough takes 30 minutes. Some steps are inside, really easy as well for elderly people.

Different from the other caves visited in the region. Smaller and shorter but with different heritage. Recomended if you do not have too many time to spare. Visit was around 30-40 minuted excluding waiting. Check opening time before visiting. Small cafe nearby with great view.

Nice cave. Easy to enter and easy to walk.

Small, quick and nice. Very close to highway, you loose only 5 + 5 minutes for driving there and back..

Best cave system I've been to in Slovakia. A true gem with real cave bear bones from 30000 years ago on display.

Short (ca. 250m - guided tour takes 40 minutes) but nice, my children (3 and 6) loved it...

Nice stop during the weekend, funny guide, who really knows what is he talking about. I really liked how he tried to engage children's attention
