Everyone had fun and the atmosphere was charged with good will. The food was traditional Slovakian and we ate plenty.

Probably one of the best Hungarian goulashes that I have eaten. Cabbage soup was to die for, and an apple strudel to finis! Live musicians walking around playing!

This was a very pleasant surprise during our week stay in Strbske Pleso ! We tried once and came back twice to try more dishes as we truly enjoyed the place, the service and the great traditional local food. There is a Master Chef in the kitchen ! We tried the soups, the sausage, the fish, the meat... the Apple Strudel and Pavlova. Absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere with the fireplace and the wooden furniture and just in front of the lake. Really really good. highly recommended ! One service shift is more welcoming and smiling albeit it did nto change our views of the great local experience.

Excellent food and drink, and very helpful and friendly waiting staff.
Food allergens are clearly marked on the bilingual menu, so we knew that one of our party wouldn't be able to eat anything on the menu. The waitress was very helpful and friendly in suggesting and ordering an appropriate meal, which turned out to be excellent.

Good food, nice building. Short on staff. The guy - although spoke good English - was so overwhelmed by serving tables alone that he forgot each time that we did not speak Slovakian.

Visited this restaurant in Strbske pleso in winter and unfortunately the weather was poor so couldn't really see much of the nearby lake or mountains, but I expect the views will be great in summer. Lovely restaurant. The service was quick and friendly, prices reasonable and food very nice. Enjoyed it so much went back again next day.

Fantastic Slovak experience. We have been warmly welcome into this beautiful koliba and had a great and very tasteful experience of Slovak food at its very best. We tried a lot of plates all made perfectly well in a beautiful athmosphere with nice and helpful staff. A must try in the wonderful Strbrske Pleso.

Great place. Looked incredible in the winter. Food and drink was amazing. Log cabin feel and a great place to stop for dinner after hiking / skiing. Have been several times, only in the winter. Love the place.

Beautiful place with very polite and nice stuff. Clean and warm. I get out one star, the reason is the little communication problem - english. We recommend it.

Delicious local food, and absolutely fantastic service. Our waiter was fast, always available and very helpful, just great job. They also offer great Italian espresso.

A great traditional cottage restaurant located right on the bank of the Štrbské pleso. It is possible to be seated both inside and on a terrace. The servers are very polite and dressed in traditional Slovak folklore clothes. The menu consists mainly of traditional Slovak dishes, which use ingredients from local sources (nearby villages of Liptovský Ján, Važec, Liptovská Teplička, Hranovnica, Jelšovce...). The pricing is also reasonable. The quality of food was awesome, everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. There's also a children's table with colouring books, if your kids are not patient while you wait for your food (the waiting time was not long tho). Highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Koliba Patria and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish! From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff, setting the tone for a memorable evening.

What made the dining experience even more memorable was the impeccable service provided by the staff. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist with our requests. They provided a top-notch service., whilst the food was divine!

WE DIDN’T VISIT THIS RESTAURANT - YOU HAVE TO PARK ELSEWHERE, THERE IS NOWHERE OUTSIDE TO PARK!!!

I am sure this place is lovely, it looks great. We wanted to visit, yet took a wrong turn and were given a penalty ticket by a police officer who seemingly was targeting foreign cars - we are British and can not speak Slovakian, so missed the sign that was written in Slovakian. She was very abrupt and unsympathetic at our mistake.

We were stopping off at this town just to eat as are heading elsewhere, but have now left and will not return.

Nestled in the mountains, adjacent to a glacial lake, Koliba Patria is well-worth the short walk. The food is amazing. I had the pulled pork and potato pancake, and it was delicious. The staff is dressed in traditional Slovakian clothing. The interior is well-decorated with a cabin-in-the-woods feel. I highly recommend this place.

Ate the bryndza halusky, the deer goulash and the pork schnitzel.
All was great!
There was even a fiddler and accordion player that played a couple of songs from our country.

The best advantage of the restaurant is a view! We loved it. Can't say anything bad about the service and food. We really liked the soups. Affordable prices.

Nice and cozy place with good food. Ideal for escaping from freezing winter now in january. Recommend the gulash, good value for money.

Very busy, but still able to maintain fast and friendly service. The food is slovak style and very delicious.
