Wellness Hotel Patria

We have stayed only for one night as the price for the hotel is not among the cheapest, but it was an experience, thus, worth it.
We appreciated that you can park your car within the hotel area even before check-in, but we had a bit of troubles to find a spot as a conference was taking place the same day and there were many cars.
We were upgraded to a Deluxe room (so not happening only in the movies) and had a beautiful view of the lake. The room itself was nothing special. It had everything we needed and was clean, but it was a standard room.
The hotel’s wellness was much wider than we expected - many saunas, whirlpools and a pool. If there had not been the loud bachelor’s party, we would have had a lovely time.
The breakfast was also nice, wide selection of your standard breakfast food with an addition of a real chef making you fresh pancakes and fancy hermelin.

Summary: for an average slovak person it is a one-time experience, but worth it if you get a room with the lake view

Best Hotel we've ever been to! We spent 5 nights there with our 2,5 yrs old son, all of us loved it! We stayed in a family apartment, it was clean, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was perfect, as well as the wellness department. For the children there was also a big playroom. I am sure we will go back next year 😊

Beutifull wellness, even thou couple of thing operated by touching it was not working properly.. and of course the people's nature to reserve loungers by throwing their towels on top... Breakfast and dinners were splendid, rooms tidy and nice :) definitely worth a visit

Beautiful hotel that keeps the feeling and architectural elements from the 70s in the best possible way. Rooms are modern and the buffet restaurant is excellent. The spa and wellness center offers most things and is spacious and nice. The new gym could be better equipped but the older (slightly hidden) gym had everything I needed for a full gym workout.

If you have a plan to hike and enjoy Strebske Pleso, here is one of the best option. Please keep in mind that you must ask hotel to arrange room with lake view higher than 4-5th floor. Trees are tall and may not be available lower floor.

Great hotel in beautiful location. With the lake on one side and mountains on the other, you are guaranteed to have a pretty view. The lake you can walk around is just about 2 minutes' walk away. The rooms are very nice and big. We had an apartment which comes with a living room and a separate bedroom, and a standard room, both in a pretty design. The food in the hotel is excellent with multiple options where everyone can choose - no matter if you are a meat-eater or vegetarian. I also used the wellness which was huge and very well equipped, a great place to be when the weather is not on your side or to relax after a hike. Taken together, this hotel delivers what you expect in any good 4* hotel in Europe.

Five stars for Peter Kovac (sorry if I mispelt your last name), who was such an excellent gem when it came to service. He was understanding, kind and welcoming. The rest of the staff were blatantly rude or annoyed (perhaps with a lack of wanting to speak English? or to us English-speaking Asians) but Peter won us over.
We booked the romantic wellness retreat, which was really a treat! Lake view was assured. We get free breakfast and dinner (but only buffet, do note and don’t ask the other staff, they don’t know that.) The dinner buffet selection is not much but good food. There is a 30-minute massage for both man and woman, and the masseur was really good. The wellness is a treat - there are plenty of sauna rooms, jacuzzis and indoor pool (please make full use of the facility till 930pm!) All in all, I do think it’s worth the money and I hope you run into Peter :D(otherwise the rest of the staff might make you feel uncomfortable or unwelcome).

Spent 4 days here after 15 year brake.
The hotel is not new obviously, but it’s renewed. Its looking good enough for its price and really good service. The pool and relax area - warm, clean, free apples and lemonade are appreciated.
There were pretty full hotel so the free parking was full, but it was real to park there.
The breakfast has all u need and even more(grilled cheese, pancakes etc).
Overall experience is 9.5/10. We will definitely come back here one day.

We held three days long workshop for 100+ people here. Hotel itself is fantastic - nice rooms, accommodating and super courteous staff, good food.

Wellness center is even more superb. Many different hot tubs, both indoors and outside, multiple saunas and sanariums, fairly large pool, beautiful environment.

Nice hotel with an amazing spa. We had a beautiful view from the room at the mountains. I was enjoying it every time when we were in the room. Also I really liked the breakfast. A lot of local food, and a big choice of gluten-free products.

Best hotel in Štrbské Pleso. Very close to ski slopes, objectively best and biggest wellness, great services, delicious food and nice rooms with great view.

Warm and comfortable hotel. With amazing staff that are very friendly and willing to help. The rooms are very clean, with warm nice beds and wonderful pillows! You won't want to leave the beds!
Nice food and well decorated reception area with indoor plants. For those that love skiing,it's the best place to enjoy the sports because of the high altitude and smooth skiing surfaces all the way down.
A place not to miss on your holiday plans.

My wife and I stayed here for a few days and thoroughly were satisfied. The location is absolutely beautiful and the spa (included in the price of our room) had so many steam baths, hot tubs, and saunas. Would be helpful if they added instructions how to start the steam baths, since we only learned from a fellow guest on our last evening at the hotel. The rooms were clean and we were satisfied. Our dogs enjoyed the nature and were welcome in the hotel and in the lounge (where you are able to order meals). Understandably the dogs aren’t allowed in the restaurant. Great place for families, couples, and nature lovers.

Lovely iconic hotel at a beautiful place. Very good pool and wellness. When the restaurant is crowded, it is almost impossible to order drinks.

We had really good stay at the hotel.. There few little things like only one power point in the room or too hot without chance to manage the temperature.. No coffee or tea option in the room. but the service and atmosphere in the hotel was really great. The spa was very relaxing after long day.
The view in the morning and sunset.. Absolutely breathtaking.. So I will definitely come back.

The hotel is beautiful, clean. Located at excellent location on the lake, 1 min to the water. Breakfast is good. The spa and the pool are wonderful , but closed at the late morning. The roons are O.K. but you have to ask for the cattle. The crew at reception are a little tired, you must call them out from the back room. The restaurant is closed at 8 pm. so you have go uot to have dinner. No entertainment in the hotel .

How can I give six stars? Amazing location and views in all directions. They just finished a massive renovation and everything is new. Off-the-charts spa with a swimming pool, kids pool, plus a pool-sized, two-level jacuzzi with dozens of pulsating jets, multiple private saunas, multiple bars, plus stuff I have yet to use like a bowling alley. The local staff-members are easy on the eyes and ears. In the rooms you'll find bathrobes and slippers so you can lounge around the building in comfort (and everyone does). A few steps around the spectacular mountain lake is a restaurant with all kinds of local dishes (I had deer goulash). It's kind of far to travel if you're in USA but if you want to impress your date, wow this place will do it big time; would be a great honeymoon too. Yes the English is less available than over the border in Poland, but so what. Learn a few phrases and bring Google translate. I wish I could stay here forever and I can't wait to come back.

Amazing wellness, really huge with lots of space to relax - you could easily spend a whole day there. Great breakfast, lots of choices and they even had options for people with food allergies. Nice staff. Spacious room with outdated decor. But they also have really nicely renovated rooms. Perfect location.

We came for lunch, didn’t see the rooms. Quick and friendly service, the food was really great, vegetables prepared differently, we enjoyed all the plates. Spacious kids playground next door, so you can watch your children. Not cheap, but ok for a 4* hotel.
