Cafe review: we didn't stay in the pension.
Place is cozy, bright with excellent location right next to the train station.
We had our brunch here, we payed 20€ (included the tip) for 2 cups of excellent hot chocolate (what is highly recommended because they use real chocolate instead of powders) and 2 filled croissant sandwiches (what was really tasty and great combination of flavours, but croissants were a bit dried out). Price is acceptable for a skiresort, but surely not for everyone.
Interior is beautiful, great place to enjoy the snowfall beside a hot drink, there is a corner for small children too, dogs are allowed, music was pleasant, staff was quiet, respectful and friendly, restrooms were clean. I will return.

The great restaurant with a traditional Slovak cuisine. The food and service is always great, I love to come back here! The restaurant itself is very cozy, located near the train station. I highly recommend this place!

Didn't stayed there . Were only for lunch. We all enjoyed our meals. Children menu was also great (the pasta was really nice). All the dishes we took were good, the service was great and the price was very reasonable. Great experience (there is also a playground nearby for kids).

Cafe review - we stopped by for coffee and cake and can absolutely recommend. Lovely indoor and outdoor seating, prompt service, good coffee also with non-dairy options and the cakes were divine. Cards accepted. We were there early in the afternoon during peak season and were able to find a table on the outdoor terrace.
The place is conveniently located next to the train station.

Cafeteria is nice, wasn't even crowded.

We were just eating here but the food was delicious and the service was really fast. The place is really close to everything here, also with a good quality to price ratio, kind staff, cosy place, I can just recommend!

Rooms very clean and spacious! Service was great, friendly staff, food really delicious! Have stayed for 4 nights with my friends so we had the chance to try almost all menu! “Bryndzove halusky” we shared every day of our stay, just couldn’t get enough 😋 thank you team Furkotka, be back for sure😃

Pension Furkotka is amazing place spend time after hiking or just walking in High Tatras. Nice room , all is clear and tidy , big space in room was big surprise. Comfortable bed give you good rest.

A very pleasant experience at the hearth of High Tatras. Rooms are no luxury but everything was clean and comfortable. A mix of old building and partially renovated interior works best as "base camp" without very small children and for the price it's unbeatable. Very friendly staff and delicious breakfast are a big plus. Just don't expect more then simple accommodation solution. Next to hotel building there is a restaurant opened till very late hours and the meals are perfect.

Very good restaurant with hearty meals. Local "bryndzové halušky" are just as they are supposed to be. Price level is slight above average, but well worth the experience. The staff is friendly, speaks multiple languages and is very attentive. I would recommend to anyone seeking more local experience.

Update at the end of the week: We've been here multiple times and were always satisfied.

Gorgeous!
A lovely hotel, exactly in the center, very big rooms, living room with fridge, couch and armchairs plus separate double bed (although rated as standard), big Tv, large bathroom with shower, the furniture is new, café bar, rustic restaurant with really good food and service (we were more than impressed).
We could not believe the hotel is rated with only 2 stars, it's a minimum solid 3*.
The price per night was 44 euro (breakfast not included), a very good price and definitely the best value hotel in Strbske Pleso.
We will return for sure and highly recommend it!

Sat at the restaurant a few times. Great local beer, friendly English speaking staff, nice music, blankets for the outside terrace, vegetarian options. Can only recommend!

Great food! I suggest to try the Slovakian specialties. Service takes a bit long, but it totally worth the wait. The restaurant seems to be very popular with the locals and hikers.

One of the best hot chocolate in a long time! Staff is kind and fast, prices are okay! Visit them for a coffee or if you want a great hot chocolate!

Great place for food and some beers. Must try ražníky so strapačkami 👍 Very nice interior and atmosphere. Home made šúľance is rare to find and vere delicious.

Extremely good restaurant, very special. Very cosy place. Meals are also very good. They have a dedicated part for children, so your toddlers could enjoy themselves for an extended period of time because they have super child toys.

Very nice setting with excellent Cafe Diemme coffee. On offer are delicious cakes and tarts, fruit lemonades or even pancakes. Seating is available on terrace as well.
