Koliba Štrbské Pleso

A brilliant place to stop by after the hike. We had sauerkraut soup and bean soup to begin with. Both were very rich in taste, freshly made and felt really authentic. Then we had Pierogi with goat cheese, which was absolutely perfect. The menu itself is just the right length - easy to chose your favourite option, but plenty for everybody’s taste and price. Portions are rather big and it is difficult to have room left for desert.

Staff were very professional and friendly and the atmosphere was great too. We have spent 37 euros for two people, with each having a soup, a main course and a glass of beer.

Great place to eat when you have a trip around the lake or you have a hike day up to the mountines. Foods are delicious and the staff is kind.

Best garlic soup I've ever had and believe me i eat garlic soup every day in Slovakia.

Nice place for a lunch. Chicken soup, gnocci, fried cheese, apple pie - all taste good.

Considering its location amidst gorgeous mountain scenery just outside Hotel Patria, prices here are very reasonable. We had the clear garlic soup (with adorable spherical croutons), sheep cheese soup and hot chocolate. The soups were rich and flavorful, and the chocolate properly thick. The staff speak English well and are friendly and knowledgeable.

We have visited this Koliba on rainy Saturday noon. Great choice of food, very tasty, great coffee, prices ok. Service was nice and quick.

We popped in the Koliva restaurant on the way to our hotel and we couldn't get away from there. The food was delicious, the service so fast. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming, we spent few hours chatting and enjoying the nice atmosphere. Highly recommended! We will be back!

Great value and fantastic location. All the family enjoyed their food. Always a favourite of ours when the restaurant is a traditional decorative appearance. All meals were well priced and food was served quickly especially considering we called at lunchtime when they had lots of customers.

Single handed, the best goulash I have had in a long time. Very cozy setting, warm and buzzing. Exactly what you need after a long tour in a lot of snow :-)
