Local place, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. They speak very good English and they have a variety of dishes with reasonable prices. I tried the beef sandwich and fries. I also tried the local beer and salad. In total, I paid 10.5 euros. The portion is quite big, I think. Good place.

Local restaurant with excellent food! This is the place to be. I am so glad i have found this gem. The owner is sweet, knows english well. The cook is very good. I had a swordfish steak and it was excellent. The sauce was well balanced with wine, every seasoning was right, the meat was excellently cooked. The garnish (i think it was sweet potatoes) was very well matched. I will definitely return to eat here.

Honestly, this place doesn’t look that fancy from the outside, it’s very local, but the food here is very very good and the prices are also good and the portions are huge. Would definitely come here again

Absolutely delightful place! The food, the atmosphere, the service - everything is top notch. We dined here 4 days in a row and it was amazing. Forget the standard menu. My advice is to order the dish of the day: soup of the day, dish of the day, and dessert. That way you can try the traditional dishes at a very attractive price. It may not look like a culinary masterpiece, but it tastes amazing!

Great local food for a great price. Service was great even though the place was full! We had the fried fish and the beef (both delicious), green soups (caldo verde), beer and a coke all for 20 euro. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely amazing place for breakfast, lunch or early dinner. Prices are very good compared to the snack bars located closer to the tourist area.

One the best meals in Ponta. I had the beef. The tuna was on the salty side but the pork chops and the beef were really tender and delicious. The owner was super busy but taking care of his customers with a smile. The beer super cold. The lowest price meal we had as well. Highly recommend it.

I loved this place. Tasty food on a really good price and the service was delightful! We had the best lunch here in Ponta Delgada. Feels like a small Portuguese bar with lovely people.

We had dinner at Apito Dourado and the food was delicious. The service was great, our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We had the fresh cheese, the soup of the day, two plates of chicken fillets with fries, two waters and a dessert to share and paid 28 euros. Overall great value for money. The place had a very local feel, it's very simple but worth it. We will definitely return to try other dishes. The Apito Dourado special dessert was the highlight for me, it was big enough for two people to share.

A no brainer if you're looking for a tasty meal! Great value for money, quick service. Ideal for a quick lunch while visiting Ponta Delgada. Bifanas were delicious.

The people who work here really care, the cook asked us how we liked the food, and we got some free taste (not small portions either) even before we ordered anything. The food was great, the people were amazing!
