Restaurante Escuna (Hotel Marina Atlântico)

Beautiful restaurant located in a 4 star hotel just in front of the sea and the harbour of Ponta Delgada. You can choose to eat buffet or à la carte. We chose à la carte and trust me you won’t regret it. I ordered the legumes cream soup that was just delicious. Then pork confit and local cheese selection. They also gave us an appetiser as a gift from the chef made of chicken, tomato and ananas and it was really great. The waiters and maître were very nice and kind, they really made our dinner perfect. I 100% recommend this restaurant: high quality food, the prices were not high but excellent value for money.

Fantastic experience at Escuna with very attentive waitstaff. We started off with a complimentary appetizer of a cheese stuffed date that was incredible, followed by a smoked salmon appetizer and three daily specials: swordfish risotto that was fabulous, pork cheeks that melted in your mouth, and a very unique and delicious passion fruit ice cream with vinegar ball pastry. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious, and very fairly priced!

Very professional and friendly management. Food is good. Steak sauce was too salty. Cod fish appetiser excellent. Risotto good.

Das Buffet war toll. Es gab Fisch, Fleisch, ein Nudelgericht und Beilagen. Somit für jeden was dabei. Auch die Salatbar und die Auswahl an Desserts war sehr gut. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und freundlich. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

Nice service and very good food. Very good organized and they helped us to change to a table outsida without hesitation. Only thing that made it a 4 star instead of 5 was that the meat wasn't medium as order (it was medium/well done) and the dessert didn't come with the tea, the tea came earlier. However the dessert - lovely!

Great service, friendly staff. My cod dish was a very large piece of fish. Unfortunately, there were a few bones and was very salty. The salmon salad was very yummy. They brought us a little bit of something which was unexpected, it tasted incredible, no idea what it was. It was a single bite, so good.

Após um evento a nível profissional neste hotel, fomos convidados a jantar pela organização. Embora ache que o hotel seja de boa qualidade, a comida ficou a desejar. Embora o aspeto seja de comida groumet o sabor não acompanhava tal aparência. Penso que deverão melhorar a qualidade dos pratos de forma a que o sabor se identifique com a essencial e qualidade do hotel.

Great location and service was very good. The prawns we ordered were so overcooked they were virtually inedible. The hamburger was plain ground beef, no seasoning. Pasta was overcooked as well
