Micauto rent-a-car

My husband and I were very lucky to have found this office. We rented a car in September, right in the office in Ponta Delgada. The conditions were the best of those offered by the offices around. The process of registration and receipt of the car took no more than 10 minutes. We paid for the car and insurance, in the amount of 40 € per day (no credit card or deposit was taken). The wonderful Fiat Panda drove us for five days around the island of São Miguel, fuel consumption for the entire period is less than a full tank. We left a car "at the airport", since a service costs the same as a taxi to the airport from the city center. Brought car to the warehouse close to the airport, before filling a full tank (according to the rules). There we moved to a minivan and in 5-7 minutes we were already at the airport. Fast and convenient (but you need to understand that there may be a queue and therefore come at least a little in advance)

We totally recommend this place to rent a car.
The service was quick and we could get the car right away, as soon as we got to their office.
The car was a different one that the one we had in our confirmation, however it worked perfectly.
Expect to get a car with small damages or visible scratches since the roads around are very tight and narrow, so small accidents can happen.
The staff was very friendly.

We booked online and rented the car for 5 days. Pick up and drop off from the office in Ponta Delgada went smoothly. The interior of the car was clean. Customer service replies via email were prompt also.

The car rental is not at the airport but they pick you up and drop you off.

Picked us up at the airport next to the flags in like 15 min after I called.
They took care of us as first ones so we didn't have to wait almost at all.
I was able to pay for the deposit with a debit card by booking the car with full insurance on DiscoverCars.

Car didn't have any issues and all the scratches were accounted for in the check in report. They forgot to put missing wiper into the report, but after I said so, they put it in. I

It was a small car, more than enough for 2 people, good for narrow Ponta Delgada streets. New looking car. Harder to go up the hill. They didn't tell us what fuel it needs but it was written on the fuel tank.

We drove 600 km with it and paid 60€ for fuel.

Drop off was fast and easy. We dropped off the car in the city. They have 2-3 parallel parking spots for their customers right in front of their office.

Deposit was reverted two days after drop off.

No problems, a little tired car (Opel Corsa, 5 years, 80k kilometres) but was running fine. Happy with the result given the price. Helpful and friendly staff. We picked up the car in the town centre and returned it in some area near the airport - and were transferred to the airport itself.

Very professional, although the car pick up is not at the airport, they collect you with a shuttle bus and were very helpful. Also quick responses to phone calls which is great.

staff were friendly and easy to communicate with. they also have whatsapp. pick up from sao miguel ponta delgada city center was simple, and i was able to drop off the car directly at their office near the airport. they also drove us back to city center after drop off which was a nice bonus. the car itself was in good condition (other than previous aesthetic damages) and performed well. during the pick up inspection always look under the bumpers as there will likely be scratches (due to the nature of the roads and curb heights) so they can record it.

We were very happy with the whole renting experience. The transfer to and from the airport was quick and painless, and staff helpful and courteous.

Great experience with Micauto. The car we got was a bit older but perfectly functional. Pickup and drop off shuttle to airport was painless and efficient. Staff was super friendly. Would absolutely use them again! Also, we didn’t realize this, likely because we booked through Chase, but they don’t have a location at the airport. Call them and they will pick you up from the airport.

Pick up and drop off was very smooth. Last minute pickup location change was also not a problem. Would use Micauto again.

Great and seamless experience with Micauto with great prices. Although the rental isn't located right at the airport, they're nearby and was quick to pick us up to the location. We got one of the newer fleets and returning the car and getting dropped back off at the airport was quick and easy too. Overall great experience and would recommend!

We had a great experience with Micauto. We got a Fiat Panda. The car was clean and like new. The pickup and drop off shuttle to airport was painless and efficient. Also, the staff was super friendly. Would absolutely use them again!

5/5. The staff is just incredible. Two very nice people qre working there and we lost our phone in the car and even witht hat, they were kind enough to get it back to us at the aeroport in time.

Our departure was early morning and we had to drop the car at 5 am. There were absolutely no doubts regarding our early drop. The guy (I haven't asked for his name, unfortunately ) met us, we left a car and he took us to the airport. Perfect timing. Good service!

Rented a small car from Micauto Car Rental for two days . Staff very friendly , professional & courteous . No hassle shuttle pickup from the airport to their offsite office and car warehouse just minutes from Ponta Delgato airport . "No frills operation" just reliable transportation and customer service . 👍👍

Super friendly guys. Easy to book. Pick up from the airport/drop off to the airport too (5-6 mins drive). No issues whatsoever on car return at 6am, no extra charge for out of hours. Will deffo use again! Thank you!!!

Very good experience. Everyone we encountered was friendly during the booking, confirmation, pick-up, and drop-off processes. The car was in good condition. They are not located at the airport, but pick-up and drop off were both fairly easy.

Had a great experience with micoauto. They were very quick to respond to any questions I had via email. They were waiting for us at the airport as promised. The rental place was very close to the airport. The driver and the guy who gave us the car were extremely friendly and the car was clean and in good condition and had all the specifics we requested. It was also less expensive than the other companies we compared it to. Would definitely recommend!
