O Churrasco

Walked by and the smell got us inside. Great service and atmosphere! The food was very good. I had steak and it was excellent, my wife got pork ribs and they were super tough. Coming from the US I guess we always expect pork ribs to be smoked and well seasoned, here the raw ribs go right to a hot grill. Hey its part of exploring other food cultures.

Would definitely eat here again if craving a steak.

We loved eating here so much that we came back several times. We had chicken wings, 1/2 chicken, octopus salad, garlic bread and all were great. The waiters were very attentive and nice. And the ambience is great too. My favorite place to eat in Azores. Yum!

Discovering this gem not far from central Ponta Delgada was a delight. There's really nothing to complain about, except that the portions are so generous it's a struggle to get up from the table. The Lombo (tenderloin steak) I ordered was hands down the best I've had in a while.

We enjoyed a wonderful red wine (20 EU), grilled chicken, sirloin steak, chicken-tomato-cheese, and grilled sirloin. All our meal items were freshly prepared and delicious. Only negative was that the grilled steak ordered medium-rare was cold rate in the middle, and difficult to eat. Staff welcomed us in without a reservation at a business time of night (Wed at 7:45 pm).

The food is very delicious, especially Tuna steak and the home style octopus! Generous portions and friendly service! Great choice for dinner/lunch.

Absolutely amazing food. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely would recommend this place if you're hungry.

Really good place to eat at the city center. Servers are very friendly and attentive.

We were a group of 4 and ordered sea food rice and Octopus with Potatoes to share.
It was probably one of the best Sea food rice I have ever tasted!!!!
Even though my friend found the Octopus to be a bit salty, I thought it was really good as well. Very soft and well flavoured.

I would definitely recommend giving this place a try..

Eat here. Our meal was amazing (mixed grill for 2, big salad & bread basket). Service was super attentive, food was delicious and price was reasonable. Forget the other reviews and eat here. Best meal we’ve had on the island.
Please keep in mind that this is a GRILL. Order something from the grill! The ribs are freshly grilled and served with a small side of sauce. They are NOT fall off the bone BBQ ribs. They are chewy, slightly charred ribs from the grill. Order meat on the rare side of medium-rare. The chicken was great.
Also, this is Azores - you have to ask for the check. You could stay anywhere forever if you don’t.

We ate there 2 times at our visit to Azores. If you like grilled meat/fish this is the place to go. The service was very good, not much wait time for the food, and the people who worked there was friendly.

Octopus and the Azorian secret (steak, pineapple and shrimp) were amazing, cooked to perfection and the desserts were also a lovely way to end the meal. Definitely worth a visit.

Located in the downtown, parking your car could be difficult close to the restaurant.
Helpful staff, quick service, wide range of foods.
Risotto with crab is excellent, as well as pineapple for dessert.

If u love meat come here, cheap and good, 5 people 3 men 2 women the guys we drank 14 beers and had meals the bill 146$. We split 30$ a peice. I had the mixed grilled plate with fries....posted a pic, steak, ribs, chourico sausage , pork belly, grilled chicken...only complaint they had the AC off...

Delicious meat. I tried the local sirloin de vaca con badadas followed by the best cheesecake I have ever ate in my whole life. Prices are really low comparatively to the quality of the food that is excellent! I would go again and again…

Overall a great experience (food/ service/atmosphere amazing), many restaurants around the island have great ratings mostly in part by comparison to the competition in that region. Meaning 5 star in the region but not actually 5 star. Churrasco is the real deal.

Can’t recommend this place enough! Seafood was fresh and very tasty as well as Azores gin! Staff was very fast and friendly, can’t wait to come back!

Very good food and a place where you can get some unique dishes like octopus (pictured). I went for the octopus starters and shrimp risotto.

I cannot understand the bad rating of some people. It is a quite good restaurant and we enjoyed our food. Everything was fresh and the food came pretty fast. Would recommend.

This place was amazing! We went here on a whim and were not dissatisfied or disappointed in any way! Would go back over and over! I recommend the "house ocotopus" (polvo a casa) - you will not regret it! If you're in the area (or in the country), GO! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

Excellent food. Especially if you want bbq chicken. I had the polvo a casa and it was fantastic.

We had the limpets, octopus, and chicken gratin. Everything was delicious, but the octopus was out of this world!
