I spent only one day in Azores and one of my stops was visiting the pineapple plantation. A great experience. I got to try very tasty products made out of the pineapple (jam, vinegar, liquor)
Beautiful place, I recommend to visit if you want to learn more pineapples.

A cute stop to make - we did it on a rainy day and it was such a nice addition to our trip! The staff in the store were very friendly and greeted us right away, asking if we had any questions about what we saw in the greenhouses. I'm so glad we made this stop! Got some nice souvenirs of pineapple liquor and jam to take home

A great experience starts with a good history of the place and explanations on the way the pineapple is developed from a plant to a fruit. Don't miss the guy at the reception as he has good stories. Enjoyed the walk through the pineapple plantation and the end with a pineapple taste.

It’s a nice place to visit when in Açores. It’s free to enter and a very nice way to get to know more about how this fruit is grown. The process surprised and interested me more than expected, and at the end you’re given a sample of pineapple jam and liquor. If you have a free hour in Ponta Delgada it’s a must :)

It’s free to visit and people were very friendly. Super cool to see a pineapple farm up close. They give some free samples as well. Highly recommend!

Such a great little place. They were so informative of their process and so proud of their products. You can walk around and see the actual growing stages. They give you a shot and a cute little toast with pineapple jam for free . I did end up buying some to take home, great people and great little hidden gem.

Nice and free self guided tour. You scan the QR codes as you go around the 2 greenhouses and it tells you the story of the Azorean pineapple as well as the process they follow in order to get a high quality pineapple.
The best part was the little shop where they sell sandwiches, ice cream, sliced pineapples and drinks. Sandwiches and drinks were delicious and prices were affordable.
They welcome you at the shop with a free tasting of their pineapple liqueur.
The boys and girls working in the shop were super nice and courteous. I definitely recommend this plantation and it’s within walking distance from the historic center of Punta Delgada.

Free entrance was great, had a quick walk through the greenhouses & spent most of our time in the cafe. Nice little menu, everything was tasty and reasonably priced for a small lunch in a pineapple plantation! A must if you like pineapples.

Great place to visit. Friendly staff, great story with it being around for over 150 years. All organic. It’s free with a sample of pineapple liquor and jam at the cafe. Can buy more pineapple treats if you want.

Lovely experience! No need for booking, so we just dropped by in the middle of the day. To park, you need to drive through the main gate of the estate. They have plenty of parking spots in the back. We immediately spotted two greenhouses with open doors, open to public, no entrance fee. Big qr codes hang from the top of the greenhouse providing interesting information as you walk through both greenhouses, looking at the pineapple plants and fruits and some lovely lilac pineapple blossoms if you are lucky. In front of the greenhouse there is a large white tent with chairs and tables that serves as a comfy shaded Cafe and shop. We were immediately greeted by a kind man providing us with a menu and serving us free pineapple liqueur and jam samples. Really nice gesture! We also ordered the pineapple Caipirinhas and some fresh pineapple juice with local rum (rum is optional:). Really tasty! These pineapples are truly something special and worth the higher price, with their tenderness, juiciness and sweetness! After enjoying our drinks, we also bought one whole pineapple to go. I also must mention the spotlessly clean toilets, and more than enough of them so no waiting was required. The whole infrastructure is well thought out and ready to scale even with larger numbers of visitors. This short visit was truly informative and enjoyable and put us in a cheerful mood ready for other adventures ahead!

We visited TWICE it was so lovely! They have a staff member in a booth to greet you at the entrance and explain where to start your self-guided tour through two of their greenhouses, the others are locked for their particular growing cycle, but you can look in. There’s free parking and a cafe.

The greenhouses are cool and reading about the growing process is really neat, they have QR codes to scan for the info and some videos in a separate barn as well. It’s a great rainy day activity! They provide a little shot of their homemade pineapple liqueur and pineapple jam in their cafe when you’re done touring around the greenhouses.

We visited the cafe twice because we couldn’t get that pineapple flamejado out of our heads, it was so amazing! Caramelized pineapple in a rum sauce with almonds and homemade gelato and a hint of lime zest!!!

We also sampled a pineapple cocktail, two pineapple beers, a pineapple custard tart, and fresh pineapple slices, basically the whole menu!!

Staff was fast with the samples when you sat down, they are friendly and helpful!

I would highly recommend you plan at least one visit here!

Great experience and it's free to visit + they will give you a free sample of their products if you visit the coffee shop.

It's not a long activity to do and that's just fine. Totally worth doing to see the process and installations.

Staff is nice and welcoming

This place is amazing!
The man that welcomed us was so kind and knowledgeable! He gave us a wide explanation about the pineapple's production process and many other fun facts about this place.
The place itself is nice and really funny to see the different stages of pineapple development.
In the end, they offered liquor and toast with jam!
It's a really nice place!

Very cool experience! We went with a tour so we were able to learn a bit about the plantation. It is small but there are many indoor greenhouses. There is also a covered area to eat and drink. We enjoyed the fresh pineapple and the pineapple beer was delicious! Worth a visit if you are in the area.
