WeKnit

Arrived from the States looking for some nice yarn for a new project. I took a mini bus from Old Town to the store (very easy) and met the owner who was absolutely lovely.
Unfortunately she doesn’t keep yarn from Portugal stocked in her store - but she has a very good reason for it. She prefers the quality yarn from Italy.
After chatting for a bit, and admiring some of her projects (All that we’re for sale) I selected a few yarns and needles.
Prices were ridiculously reasonable. For the quality of material especially.
I can’t say enough nice things about the Owner. She was just the nicest, warmest, lady.

Looked for a store where I might be able to find a Portuguese knitting pin and I lucked out! The store owner not only had a selection of pins, she had yarn to complement another skein I owned and gave me a free sweater pattern to try. Excellent service and an interesting little shop.

I was walking a lot around ponte Delgado trying to get a manicure and stumbled across we knit instead. I’m pretty sure it was the owner. Was so helpful. Got a skein of yarn on sale and will be making a summer shawl. She wrote the pattern in English and also showed me a few things including how the Portuguese knit. So nice and helpful. Very impressed. Many thanks. I’ll look forward to make the boomerang shawl!!!

Great selection of yarn - other shops on the island only had acrylic.
