Excellent restaurant.
My wife and I had the meat with coleslaw and legumes.
The staff is absolutely great and the food is outstanding ... we definitely ate more than should have.
Although we don't drink, I could tell that the choice of wine is vast and probably a good as the kitchen.
I'll most certainly go back there again for another exquisite dining experience.

We visited on 19 august 2023, and it was very busy in Covilha. We went to 3-4 other places first without a reservation for 2 people and everything was full. Taberna A Laranjinha was the only place which made everything possible for us!
We enjoyed the atmosphere, the delicious food and the great service!

Let's put it simple: amazing and tasty local food, cozy atmosphere and excellent service. Worth every penny. The "wild boar in the iron pot, my mother way" ("javali na panela de ferro como minha mãe fazia") is the typical comfort food you expect to have accompanied by your special companion.
Tips: make a reservation, they're usually full. Try a little Portuguese speaking, they're locals. 👌

Absolutely amazing experience. The food was marvelous. Only thing I would say is the divine Shepherd beef (bife á pastor) deserved better side than french fries.

Although we didn’t reserve a seat in advance, we were sited outside and we’re able to experience the parsnip festival happening on these days. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. We were also offered with on-the-house ginja shots and some traditional parsnip pastry. 5 stars to the staff and the overall experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Regional recipes cooked with local ingredients that for sure will not only please your stomach but your eyes and nose as well.
