Scared about entering the cold water I was supported by a lovely Portuguese couple. The barman can curse in Italian. Even if crowded, you can always find a rock just for you.
The place of my dream.

Fantastic river beach. Clean, not too crowded, excellent facilities: toilet and bar. You can find shade, great for picnics :) the best

PS.: walk 30 min to Calhão do Mogueiro - it is worth it

Excellent river beach. It has areas with small pools for children and a larger area. There is a bar and tables to eat. It is advisable to arrive early to find a good spot that offers shade. The parking is also a bit hard to find. There is no sand; there is beaten earth or herbs. Get there early and enjoy the nature. The water is crystal clear.

Lovely natural river pools, bit to cold for a swim in October though😨

Absolutely beautiful . Water crystal clear and clean, life guards on duty. Seating and refreshments available although I didn't use the facilities. Quiet when I was there but imagine it would be very popular with locals and tourists. Definitely must visit for photographic opportunities if passing

Great and beautiful beach! It's best to get there early, so you can guarantee your place under a nice tree. There's also a bar and a lifeguard.

Lovely place with ice cold water (I don't know if it's ever get warm, refreshing for sure;)) beautiful views and a bar (of course). Most impressive river beach I've ever been too

The most beautiful river beach in Portugal 🤩

The only problem with so much beautiful landscapes, it gets very crowded, specially during the summer and weekends.

If you have the opportunity, visit during those very warm spring ou autumn days. Additionally, if you rent a motorhome, you'll be able to sleep close by and experience the early morning with few people.

I loved this little village, and this place. The water is cold as ice but it's pure and you will love it's freshness. You will be in contact with the nature. A very nice place to take your family and kids right on the Serra da Estrela.

Beautifull place especially in spring when the flowers color the Serra dá Estrela yellow and purple . The nature and views are magical.
