Apu Ausangate Restaurant

We had dinner here twice as the food was delicious and nicely presented. The staff are very friendly and the cosiness of the wood pizza oven very enjoyable. We tried the trout that was perfectly cooked, the potato stuffed croquettes (vegetarian) and the chicken soup. All very fresh and delicious. Thank you.

This was one of the best meals we had in all Peru, including Lima’s high end restaurants. We all liked it so much that we came back and ate here again after coming back from Machu Picchu. I ordered the trout but other friends had the soups and they said it was really good. We highly recommend you stop and eat here.

Perfect spot for the lunch.
The view is just amazing and the food is on the same line. You’ll have different options to try Peruvian food or even Alpaca meat.
We had a plate to share with different types of meat and it was delicious.
Even the sides are exquisite.
For around 7-8€ per person you can have a great meal.

I wish I could give it 6 stars.

Food is amazing! And so is the presentation.

Drinks were perfect.

We had the Alpaca and the Grilled chicken. Our friends shared a trio of Alpaca, cow and sheep.
They all had with a very hearty salad and a choice of side.
We had the native potatoes and the mashed potato.
3 sauces were given on the side to each dish (see photos).
Too bad we are here only for half day on our way to Machu Pichu.
Só yourself a favor and have a great meal at a very reasonable price.

The most delicious restaurant during my time in Peru! I enjoyed my Chicken Broth (Caldo de gallina) very much. It's so flavorful and hearty. I could eat this every day! The Spaghetti Bolognese is really good as well. Highly recommend!

Came here based on reviews of good pizza, and it was indeed very good. Thats is all we tried off the menu. Nicely located with patio on main square.

Good food on the pricier side but, considering the location, fair. We had a ceviche, nachos and a pizza, as well a very good chicha morada and a jugo de papaya. Nothing revolutionary but everything well executed and friendly service.
The location itself is very cosy and the view of the main square, as well as some old ruins is very beautiful.

Wow didn’t expect it, not sure why, but one of the best meals I’ve had in my 4 months in Peru. Prices are very reasonable considering the area. I eat vegetarian now, and had the best vegetarian meal here - Papas Ricoto. Soooo good. Love the staff here too, so friendly, and amazing little girl as a server! If you come to Ollantay, you HAVE to eat here. Maybe eat here twice!

Amazing food for our whole group. I got the 3 course menu: mushroom soup, pollo saltado and the chocolate cake. Some of the best chicken I've had. Highly recommend this place if you find yourself in this town.

They have a wood fire oven for pizza. We tried the Alpaca pizza and that was absolutely delicious!

Great underrated restaurant in ollantaytambo. The best chicha morada I've had in Peru. Friendly, family run, good service....the lomo, ricotto relleno, and Aji de gallina were all amazing. I highly recommend..

Best of the best! We had Chicha, Sopa Zapallo, Sopa Quinua, y Triple Apu!!!!!! All of them are perfect! And the service here is really nice. We enjoy every moment here. Definitely recommend to all.

We tried the trout and the chicken soup both very delicious and served beautifully. Awesome service! The chamomile tea was also really good!
