Vintage Green Cafe @ The Daughter

It's a family business run by an elderly father who has been cooking for decades and his daughter, who diligently serves the customers. She is quite friendly too, which made us feel so comfortable. There are not many food options but what they have is all good👍🏼
This place is a cozy little cafe, set up in an antique store. So you can get the best of both worlds by purchasing an antique item after dining in. It attracts lots of foreigners and they get to experience the taste of vintage Malaysia for a while. They also place classic songs, which brings you back to the 80's era. I just love the vibes in this cafe!

Stay at the nearby hotel for a night. Within walking distance to this shop. Shop owner is quite friendly. The atmosphere is quite unique and brings back memories of past. While enjoying some of their foods, one can read a book if you wish (if you found your book/novel). Recommended to give a try if you happen to drop by Malacca. Owner told that their nostalgic item are for sales too. We bought a world map for our home deco.

This vintage shop cafe will give you a very unique memory and experience in Malacca as I did. The hostess is very friendly and in caring attitude, the coffee and the fresh juice she recommended were delicious and nice chill enough to moisten our thirst. Led by the cozy and exotic atmosphere I wrote down a journal for myself, and definitely I believe this will also be a nice place for writers who want some refreshment for their creative works!

Pretty little corner with lots of books and vintage stuff. Had a great time walking around the shop. When I was here.. only a few customers..
Kinda had the whole cafe to ourselves. Ordered their fried rice and its yummy. Their special chilli with onions and lime with soy sauce is delicious. Happy to find this little cafe off main tourist spot and yet enjoyed every second of it.

Came in here for an afternoon kopi break and was amazed by the vintage interior/ deco! Really a throw back to 60s/70s era. Everything in the shop is for sale so if you’re keen it’s possible to purchase them.

Had a flat white and it was quite good surprisingly. We also had traditional toast and instant noodles which cannot go wrong. Overall a very nice and pleasant experience!

Beautiful place to spend hot afternoon while strolling around melaka. They have various foods and drinks to choose from. The owner can also recommend what’s best to try. Great experience.

Brought back many lovely childhood memories. A shop doesn't need alot of expensive decor. Vintage Green Cafe or The Daughter was filled with vintage items and furniture. Great idea. Hope they do well.

Very cool vintage interior 😍 My daughter loves it so much. She can read pleanty of books while waiting for the food. Everything is for sale here! The foods all are SUPERB, the Chinese & western cuisine both are TASTY 🤤 We tried their coffee 👍, the juice is so FRESH. Please order their Roti Kawin, you will love it! Oh not forget the service is EXCELLENT too 😉 Sure will be back! Pleasant experience for us 👌

A completely amazing place. Hard to describe. Restaurant? Cafe? Longue room? 1950s Paris? Second hand store? Antique auction? My grandmother's house? Actually, it is all of the above. Completely unique. Very comfortable. In decor, in atmosphere, and in proprietor.

If you're quirky like me, this will be a treasure trove of books and conversations. Spoke to the daughter and father made me delectable home-made Hokkien Fried Noodles. This came w Hot Chocolate. Exquisite.

Cool bookshop and antique vibe. Very quiet, we sat reading our books there with a juice and some food.

Several veggie and vegan options if you are struggling in malacca. We had juices, fruit platter and a black bean dish with mushrooms etc.

Wonderful place to go! Food and drinks are homemade and cooked at the moment. They are delicious.
In the place you can also get any things that you like in the shop.

I stumbled upon this place almost by accident. The owner informed me that this chaotic lookin place with piles of books and other bric-a-brac was a cafe. I just loved this place with the old time music and ambiance. The food I had was fabulous. I met a few students there and had such a memorable time.

A lovely, very comfortable, quirky cafe! Food was excellent with lots of flavour, coffee was really good, great for westerners. Surrounded by books with an awesome vibe and vintage music.

Really loved the vibes of the cafe and also all the antiques/vintage items!! They were all on sale if you are interested. Bagged home a couple of vintage Guinness glasses 😋😋

We're lucky to have visited Vintage Green Cafe@The Daughter! We like all the old stuff & antiques there giving it a vibe that we've never experience before. Drinks were nice & special, food was authentic, old school & value for money with big portion, even offered us ice cold drinking water with lemon slice! Lotsa interesting stuff to see & find there as well as many good corners & spots for nostalgic photographs. Would love to come visit again when we go to Melaka next time to try out other food & drinks there.

Charming cafe and juntique / vintage store. Music from the 1940s playing in the background, vintage fans whirring from the ceiling, fascinating old books everywhere...I was transported!

Good wifi.

I had the Japanese Matcha Latte over ice and the dreamy tropical breeze, which was delicious with cinnamon added.

Loved this non-touristy, authentic cafe.
