Malay food is spot on and prices is like mainland, cheap and tasty. Don't go for Western as I ordered onions rings, huge proportion was served but it didn't taste that well. The presentation also very pretty

The food was good. The owner is also very helpful when I asked about the meal provided. I stayed at the barat but prefer food here. Their blackpepper beef was superb.

I can confirm the coconut shake recommendation of Anna and want to add tom yam soup with rice, which also is very delicious. Lots of lemongrass and well spiced! Friendly staff and very good value / money. Also the restaurant offers a beautiful view in the evening to the mosque on the other island. Check out their laundry service, which is really good and paid per kg (not per item as some pricey hotels on the island will charge)

You really don’t expect much of this place, and it doesn’t look different from the others. But my god! The food is simply amazing! You have to try their coconut milkshake and kampung fried rice. The food is made fresh, with almost no artificial flavours. Though waiting time is a bit longer, it’s very much worth it. Breakfast was outstanding as well. There’s just something about this place that makes everything coming out of the kitchen to die for!

The best cocconut shake I have ever had. I strongly recommend to go there at least for this shake. Good and tasty food for reasonable price. During our stay at Perhantian Besar it was our favourite restaurant. Thank you Mama's Restaurant's staff!!!

Très bon restaurant, le service est rapide et la cuisine est bonne. Nous avons mangé dans ce restaurant quasiment durant tout notre séjour. Le rapport qualité prix est présent et leur riz frit au poulet est très bon !
Cependant il ferme un peu tôt, mais nous nous sommes adaptés, nous sommes sur une île après tout 😉

Gran restaurante con un personal muy agradable aunque no sepan hablar muy bien inglés siempre intentan ayudarte.

La comida está bastante rica, y es similar a la oferta de casi todas las Perhentian pero a un precio inferior.

Nos encantó el Mama’s fried rice, el pancake de queso para desayunar y la barbacoa para cenar. El té tharik estaba delicioso. Y también los batidos sobre todo el de mango y el de oreo.

Si volvemos a la isla sé dónde pasaríamos bastante tiempo 😊

Leckeres authentisches Essen, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir waren hier sehr oft essen, aber leider mussten wir jedes Mal feststellen, dass die Bedienungen meist lustlos und gelangweilt ihren Beruf machten. Auch ein Lächeln war meist Fehlanzeige. Schade.

C’est le meilleur des restaurants aussi bien en terme de nourriture que du rapport qualité.

Il miglior posto dove mangiare!!! L’ho scoperto solo alla fine del secondo giorno, ma se l’avessi saputo prima sarei andata tutti i giorni per ogni pasto! Oltre ad avere i migliori prezzi, è davvero squisito!! Complimentissimi in cucina, dalle colazioni (toast, roti canai, caffè freddi) ai pranzi e alle cene (fritture, pesce alla griglia, risi e noodles locali), era tutto delizioso!! Lo staff gentilissimo e sorridente. 10+
