Barat Perhentian Beach Resort provided me with an exceptional experience. The resort is situated on a beautiful beach offering stunning views of crystal-clear waters and pristine sands. The staff was friendly, helpful, and ensured that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

The spacious and well-appointed room was a pleasant surprise. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and the fresh seafood was exceptional.

The resort offers various activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and island-hopping, arranged by the helpful staff. I spent my time relaxing by the pool or on the beach, soaking up the sun and enjoying the scenic beauty.

We stayed in Perhentian Island Resort. Our room was the premium beach front and I must tell you the room was clean, cold and the view was excellent. The entire staff was so friendly. From the receiption until the boat taxi, everyone was so helpful and friendly. We had a lovely stay. The beach was so clear. Beautiful corals. The choices of buffet isn't much so I advice you to carry along some snacks on your own.

I'm a solo traveller staying for 2 nights and it brings me an unforgettable trip. Staff there are so friendly and kind, food is tasty with choices of western and local, location is good to spot a beautiful sunset and a blanket of stars if there's a clear skies. Except weak wifi, everything is super fine with a reasonable price

My 2nd time stay at The Barat. Everyone so friendly & helpful. Food & service great. Room spacious & clean. Will recommend for solo or travellers with family & friends. Water activities easily available.

Very clean and well staffed resort. The restaurant serves both Asian and Western cuisine. The food is up the standard and very fresh. There are four snorkeling and two fishing tours offered by the hotel which are all reasonably priced. A water taxi service is also provided through the hotel. The beach pictured below is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and it is never overcrowded.

One of the greatest experience and hospitality I had on an island. John, the waiter always puts on a big smile serving us, we even took a dive together! Paul from the convenient stall light an incense to keep mosquitoes away for us while we’re reading during sunset. The Barat Dive Center is the highlight of my stay, took my advanced diving course with Neville and Armand! Friendly and fun dive instructors! Hope to dive with them again someday

Room: We booked a room for three. The room is comfortable and clean. They provide an electric kettle, a fridge and hairdryer. The beds are comfortable.

Food: since we booked a package, we were given vouchers for three meals a day and they are well worth it. Most of the food are good. I especially enjoyed the big breakfast platter.

Activities: we booked a snorkeling package which included two snorkeling trips (worth RM35 and RM45 each). The boat drivers are friendly and willing to give a help wherever they can. The snorkeling areas are also gorgeous.

Cleanliness: The hotel keeps the beach and the surrounding area really clean. They provide rubbish bins.

Overall I'm really satisfied with the hotel. Worth the money.

Good rooms and very good service. Food is also affordable and quite reasonable! Their BBQ night had a great spread. Their menu for all 3 meals were good and portion was sufficient for one person. Receptionist and waitress were very friendly and accommodating. There is a hiking trail nearby too for those who are interested (you can get more info from the receptionist). A very family oriented place. Great stay, will definitely stay here again.

Loved everything about the resort. Warm ambience, pretty surroundings. The restaurant has really delicious food although it’s quite pricey. I say give it a shot!
Our room was nice but the bed was abit sandy. Staffs were amazing and helpful.

Four of us friends rocked up with no booking and stayed in a family room for 3 nights. The lovely, Marina, made our stay - she was more than happy to help us with any questions and was always a friendly face to see and smile at!
The resort is clean, well organised and has some delicious food throughout the day. The best beach is a short 5 minute walk away and great snorkelling (weather permitting..). We also did a morning of snorkelling and as an ocean lover myself, it was simply amazing and some of the best I have seen in Asia so far.

What i like about The Barat is that it's has a huge space and a lot of seat. So you can sit wherever you want and enjoy the view and the breeze. And ya there are floating platform infront of the hotel which you can sit on it and enjoy watching colourful little fish in the evening. I really like the staff and the boss here. All are friendly and helpful.

Great resort to stay at. Location is scenic. The staff are pleasant and accomodating. Had some really good BBQ fish during their dinner service. My only gripe is the seaview rooms are right above the kitchen and my room had a weird tilt. It could probably be cleaned better and lose the dusty bean bag and curtains.

I have to add here my review would be 4 stars but they wowed me with their customer service. Left a novel in my room and only noticed once I was back in my own home. Called the resort and they shipped it to me immediately very well packaged (They only charged me the delivery fee for their trouble!)

Aside from my gripe about the cleanliness which can easily be rectified this place does deserve a great rating. Most likely will be back one day!

We stayed for 3 nights in Barat Resort and we couldn't be happier with this resort!
Starting with the bedrooms that were not only very comfortable but also really clean. They provide you 2 bottles of water everyday and the entrance you get to have a welcome drink. Talking about drinks, you CAN'T MISS their signature drink, the mango smoothie! Is just incredible!! Actually all their food is amazing! Go for the local dish, the Kampung Fried Rice, that is the best in the island! Even though the prices are more expensive in the big island, this resort charges the same prices as the local restaurants. You will always be eating at the beach front, so the location is also pretty good. To finish, i can't say also only good things about the staff, they were super nice to us the all stay and always willing to help. Total recommend this place if you are visiting Perhentian Islands.

The room is still ok, service very slow, especially when check in, need a long time. The food cost is slightly higher than nearby shop.

Great place. Fronting beautiful beach, crystal clear water. Great food at the resort restaurant and we had other choices of restaurants nearby. Only a short 10 minutes walk to the beautiful beach of Perhentian Resort, which had fine , white sand and crystal clear water , and Turtle Point. Would I choose Barat again for my next visit? Definitely yes!

The stay there is not bad, food selections is good, pricing wise...quite reasonable to me and the staff there is very polite. The beaches is astonishingly beautiful! The water is crystal clear and great for snorkeling or diving. Really hoped to visit again very soon!

When we booked the place, it was the last place on the island available at an affordable price. It turned out to be quite a good experience for us.

We booked 2 double-chalets. The price was reasonable - the chalets were clean and quite decent for the price (except that they needed to fix the toilets twice when we were there).

The restaurant was a pleasant surprise - we tried a few restaurants on the island but so far I think they were one of the best.

If you stay here, the best snorkelling site is around 10 minutes walking away, in front of the Perhentian Island Resort. Turtle Bay is also there, where you could snorkel and see turtles. If you are lucky, the turtle hatchery nearby may also have plan to release the baby turtles into the sea (at night) and you may witness that. Talk to them for more information!

Please please please be responsible with the environment when you snorkel, take nothing, try not to damage the corals with your fins or legs, and do not scare any fishes or touch anything! The environment will love you back!

We had our first time visit to Perhentian Island on Oct 1st till 4th, 2017. The staff in this resort were so welcoming and polite. The reception counter staff had help us to upgrade our room with minimum charges and the Manager herself had escorted and carried my luggage to our chalet room. The Superior room provided to us were simple, clean and stylish. It worth for the money and we don't mind paying little up extra for the awesome food. The snorkeling trip and boat transfers to watch the sunset and Long Beach trip with the boat operator named Fitri was fantastic. This is such a memorable trip we had and even on the day we checked out, the owner of the resort himself had offered to carry my daughter's luggage to the jetty nearby and put it on the boat. It was an amazing hospitality provided to us and had made our stay very special by looking after of me and my daughter so well. Will be visiting again to this wonderful resort and fully recommended to all.
