Ombak Dive Resort

Had a short 4D3N holiday at Ombak!
Great service and friendly staff. It's a short walk to the resort from jetty so do ask for bellboy service before arrival if u hv heavy baggage.

The resort is a small quaint resort on Perhentian Kecil Coral Bay. So they are well protected from the monsoon and can open the resort/ diving season earlier than others. Waters are calm at this bay so we did snorkelling across the whole bay and pass the small cove to get to Romantic beach.

Rooms are as expected but clean and well maintain. The resort staff cleans daily so all the paths are also clean.

They hv movie night every night and happy hour too. The food is okay and can be improved but having said that, if u take a full board package you wont be hungry!

Overall a nice lovely gateway with my family and i really had fun!

We had an amazing time in February at Ombak Dive Resort. It was the very start of the season so the island was completely empty and quiet.

We got our SSI Open Water certificate at the Dive Center, the instructor was competent and the prices were very reasonable for the service.

We loved the movie nights at the cafe, the selection of food and drinks was decent and the receptionist Farah was absolutely lovely!

All this on top of the location itself which is simply stunning and pristine.

Perfect place to start your diving career! Amazing resort perfectly located, with nice airconditioned rooms and really kind staff. The diving package is perfect for starting divers, as the diving instructor is really experienced and takes you to nice shallow reefs to start of and end with a cool ship wreck dive! Amazing experiences all around. Good food, good breakfast, no complaints.

A beautiful resort near Romantic Beach, and withun walking distance of Long Beach. Lovely staff, great service at the restaurant and a delicious breakfast. We took a three day diving course which was great for beginners. Overall a great spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Had a great time at Ombak resort. Farah at reception is lovely and very helpful. Dave at the dive center was a great instructor, and helped us get our SSI diving license. Great location, so peaceful. And the movie nights at the restaurant are a great extra perk.

great service from staffs especially farah and dave! breakfast was great - wide variety of options and a well equipped dive center in the resort, only issue with the room is we couldnt find any charging sockets besides the one behind the bed. free movie nights were what we look forward to everyday as well!

Ombak dive resort is a wonderful place to spend a nice vacation. The girls present at the reception are always kind and smiling and ready to satisfy any need and solve any problems. We had a room on the second floor, equipped with every comfort, we found it spotless, air conditioning, fan, hairdryer, coffee set, toiletries and scented towels. In the evening in their restaurant they show a children's film as entertainment first and then films for all ages! The breakfast is international with a station for freshly made eggs of all kinds. We made use of their diving. What can I say, the Ombak pleasantly surprised me and I will recommend it to everyone! a plus is certainly also the proximity to the pier for returning to the mainland.

We had a very pleasant stay at this resort, nothing was to be missed. Very friendly staff. Would go back anytime!

Selected the 4D3N full-board snorkeling package which exceeded my expectation. It was a solo trip from 04 July - 07 July and the entire experience from check-in to check-out played out very smoothly.

The college kids running the front desk were attentive and professional. Everything was well explained and arrangements made were met without any issue.

Food was good and sufficient but some might say it’s a little repetitive if it’s a long stay. Based on my experience, the F&B staff is pretty accommodative if they know you’re staying a little longer than 2 nights.

As for water activities, Adam and his team were very attentive throughout the island hopping trip. Some were sick during the trip and I would say he and his team were very accommodative to meeting everyone’s need. We saw sharks, turtle and many beautiful fishes in such clear water!

I didn’t participate in diving but I had the opportunity to meet Sam, I think he runs the diving center for Ombak. Just like the entire Ombak team, he was very welcoming.

Location is great, pretty quiet at night but Ombak offers movie night at the premise which is pretty laid-back if that’s what you’re looking for. Long Beach is just 10 mins walk from Ombak which is very accessible.

The entire trip turned out a lot better than I thought. Thank you Ombak!

Cafe food is a bit expensive. They have different menu for coupon holders (coupon comes with package). However the food is good

Room is ok. Can get a bit noisy due to the noise from generator. May interupt sleep at night.

They have own dive center. The instructors are extremely good. The best.

I had the best time here at Ombak Dive Resort. The place is incredible. Located at Coral Bay, nice and quiet place. If the sky is clear can see the sunset. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. No issue with water and electrical supply. The foods which included in the package were okay. On my last night, I decided to order from the menu and the food was delicious! If you want to go to the Long Beach, it takes about 10 mins walk through the forest to reach there. The wifi connection was a bit slow but hey, are you here to enjoy the island or playing internet inside your room? 😂 Go out and explore! But if you really need to use the internet, you can just go to the cafe and have a drink or meal there. The wifi is faster at the cafe. Anyway, I had a lovely time here. Highly recommended for everyone 👍🏼

Best experience ever from staying here to diving experience.. we had candle light dinner, Movie night. Receptionist were helping at each point breakfast menu can be improved

If you wish to stay at Coral Bay, this is the best place that you may consider. The room was very good condition and toilet was clean. I didn’t expect on their facilities, I think they have upgraded. Only 2x very short blackout during 3D2N stay and might be not like others might be have blackout many times with longer period (had previous experience) Good breakfast buffet and tea over the sea 🥰

check in was easy and fast .

but if ure staying at top floor u have to climb all the way up . Im with my baby so its kinda struggle .

Since all room are full so u cannot simpy request other room .1st come 1st serve the staff said .

however , the staff did helped me with my bag and send to the room .

I have completed my Open Water Diver Course. Sam “the Instructor” is a legend. He will literally take out your fear of water and after that diving would be so easy. Lovely instructors and lovely vibe.

The food is amazing. The rooms are nice and clean just don't expect a nice view from your window. Great place if you want to go snorkeling or scuba diving. And they show movies every night. Just don't eat Orange marmalade at breakfast.

Recommended a snorkeling trip with Adam and Zul on a 5-point expedition to see black-tip sharks, green turtles and even a small stingray. Lovely experienced guides and hotel staff well-versed in English and very fun people to hang out with. Check out the windmills on a short hike too!

Located on Coral Bay, which is more beautiful, romantic and quiet than Long Beach. Perfect for enjoying the sea and sun, beaches, snorkeling and diving away from the junkies crowd. On this side everything is better and cheaper. Ombak diving centre highly recommended!

New SOP applied, you need do c19 test before entering this place. You can do it before you boarding into boat transfer. Also can do the test once your arrived and give to them the test result as prove you are not bring the virus with you. Pls do check your email 2-3 days before you come here. Their staff will send reminder to your email. Or else you need to buy the test kit at their place costing myr20 each kit before you can proceed to check in.
