The International School Of Penang

Try not to believe the negative reviews. As a foreigner living in Malaysia, I have found Uplands to be a beautiful, inclusive and safe place to learn for both my children. My honest rating for this school is 5 stars. I do hope more parents will speak up and give them more honest reviews. Love this school. Great teachers who remember my children's names on their first day. Garden is gorgeous with large trees everywhere. Big new comfortable library. Air-conditioning in all classrooms. Premium quality uniforms. Swimming pool. Large field. Big rock climbing walls indoor. Air conditioned basketball courts. Nice science labs. Good facilities. Don't expect the moon because they are non profit. However I do feel non profit schools are the best! Keeps your kids grounded. I wanted to write this review to reassure new parents like myself. I was initially intrepid due to the negativity here but they proved to be wrong. It is very safe here. This school gives me a feeling that my kids are in capable hands.

My two children attend this school, and we are extremely satisfied. I actively participate in school events, and the teachers and staff are truly wonderful, creating a lively atmosphere for the students. Honestly, I feel a bit envious of my children because I wish I had attended a school like this.
Before enrolling in Uplands, my kids attended another IB school in Tokyo. We visited IB schools in Singapore and across Malaysia (KL, Johor, Borneo), but Uplands stood out as the most outstanding in terms of diversity, culture, values, and traditions. Surrounded by nature, well-maintained facilities, and effective use of IT tools, I believe it's the best school.

We have had three children at Uplands since 2019. Our children are very happy attending Uplands and are doing very well with their academics. There have been some really positive improvements in recent times and the location is a bonus.

I'm extremely happy with Uplands. Scoured the entire Malaysia for intl schools, and found Uplands to be the best there is in terms of culture, values and heritage. My personal opinion is education should not be a "for profit" venture, and Uplands certainly delivered on that.

I don't understand the hate displayed in the reviews. I guess like most groups of people, the unhappy minorities are usually the loudest, while most happy parents/students/staff have no reason to complain and just go on with their days. 500 plus students and growing.

I used to school in uplands international school of penang, its an Awesome place. They have great teachers. Students are tought to respect one another. I lived in penang for 7 years and out of all the schools I have seen and read about in penang, uplands international school of penang is the best.

我的孩子在這裡生活學習了五年，小學的老師都非常熱情也很認真。根據孩子自己的意願，他繼續在這裡就讀中學。最近一年多學校發生了許多令人高興的變化。不敢說比其他學校更棒，但是很疑惑那些差評是怎樣來的。尤其是觀察了那些差評用戶的信息後（有些用戶甚至祇有這一則評價），非常遺憾學校獲得那樣的評價。
