Food was awesome, highly recommend the sweet and spicy chicken (ask for it crispy) and the kway teow. Plus, gorgeous views of the hills.

The lady Liang who runs the place was so friendly and helpful! Will def be back if I return to Penang.

Bonus points, they have a fighting fish tank! Very fascinating the way they have bread and raised the fish.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Firstly I would like to say a huge thank you to diang & loon for making a part of our trip so special, the food & customer service was 10/5. If you are looking for amazing authentic Asian food please try! Myself and my partner tried the food at her food stall which is located near the beach, the stall has been in her family for 45 years! The food was so amazing we had to try the restaurant. A huge thank you!

Thanks to the level of genuine service and amazing food, this is a place where tipping is not even a question. All the food that we had was superb, but it was the service and care that made everything such a nice experience. As others have said, do not be deceived by the exterior, the food is so good.

We had the sizzling sea food, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and stir fry veggies. The portions are generous, so take the small sizes to have a tasting menu.

It was amazing! Especially prawn, I always find lazy to peel the shell whenever I order a cuisine at Chinese restaurant. But this restaurant is kindly enough to be done everything and was so easy to eat. Price is so reasonable. less than 50RM for 3 dishes for 2 PAX. Worth going here !

The food at Knife and Fork restaurant is delicious and affordable. The service is good too and also have a variety of choices. It's a great place for a casual dinner or to meet up with friends.
If you are at Batu Ferringhi area can pay a visit at their restaurant(but they only operate at dinner time).
Must try their famous dishes sizzling beef and seafood. 😉

Great place to eat. Middle of a big block. Not easy to find, but worth it. Food cheep, fresh and owners lovely. Wine and beer also well V priced.

Waiter who was also a chef was extremely friendly! The food was also amazing! The sizzling mixed vegetables is a must have. If you happen to be around the area make sure you try this place!

Price for the food is consider cheap, not to forget its in tourist location. we came during the weekday so it's not so crowded. Food taste wise ok. Sep 24 2020

The owner was extremely friendly and accomodated to all our requests. The food was great and homely, and very sufficient in portion. Although the variety in terms of dishes was somewhat underwhelming, the taste and affordable price point very much makes up for it. Would definitely come back for the next visit to Batu Ferringhi.

Wife and I went for dinner. This place is run by a couple - just two them. They are extremely friendly and they cook up a storm. Generous with the portions as they are with taste and flavour.

If it's just the two of you, then just order the small plate. It's more than enough for two people.

What we liked about this little restaurant is its small, cosy and doesn't have a TV.

When come to Penang, must go to this restaurant. The owner and chef are so friendly, they greet and welcome us happily. Food was superb as well. Ordered the sizzling prawn, honey caramelized pork, mix vegetable omelette, and sweet and sour chicken. All for only RM60 whereas the price in KL can up go RM100+. Price is very affordable, good value for food. A relatively small restaurant located at the 2nd floor. Very good service. A hidden gem of Batu Ferringhi.

I'm so happy that we made the extra effort to find this restaurant. It's easy to get the impression that it's located on the ground floor just left of happy mart, but instead you have to go a little to the right of happy mart and find the escalators or elevator to take you up a couple of stairs. When you see Andrew's place to the left; you can go through that (sorry Andrew), and after two left turns you'll find the knife and fork restaurant on the street facing side of the building.

We were meet by the most beautiful smile a mask can't hide, and assurances that "no garlic and no onion" would not be a problem at all. We then went on to ask for a special dish that was not on the menu, and of course that was no problem at all. After some rattling of pans in the kitchen while we enjoyed our spring roll starters we were served a sizzling presentation of the love of cooking.

I can't guarantee you'll find it as enchanting as we did, but... please, don't miss the opportunity to fall in love with this hidden gem.

We're going there again tomorrow.
