Mercato Gurney Plaza

After Cold Storage, Now it become Mercato Supermarket. The concept still the same, selling a lot of foreign country food, groceries and so on... if no mistaken, they just open at 13 Nov 2019. The things over there is quite fresh, maybe because of newly open. Overall my shopping experience over there is quite good.

Nice supermarket located at the basement that is well-stocked and spacious. The price is reasonable considering the freshness of the produce.

Their groceries are undoubtedly more pricey compared to other supermarkets. However, all the seafood and fresh produce here are very fresh. The price tells the quality.

Great shopping here. Plenty of product week stock up shelving too. Very good hygiene practise by checking temperature body, hand sanitizer, and wearing glove before entering during this covid19 period

Have shopped there multiple times. I just wish they had a better selection of vegan meat alternatives.

Nice place to do grocery shopping.

Great market, little bit pricey, but okay for the quality products. There are some exclusive products that I couldn't find any where else here in Penang. The dairy section is the best in term of products and prices especially for cheeses. I would recommend visiting it every month to see what is new. The location is within the gurney plaza shopping mall, the ground floor.

One of my favourite place...vegetables are fresh...they do sell fresh flowers and many other stuff...certain things are pricy but you can always get good stuffs here...and the staff there are very helpful & friendly

After the relayout and upgrade, the supermarket is more lively and classy, really like the new settings, the fresh juice corner, and customize your nut butter corner and the check-out counters.

replaced the old cold storage at this location. this is so much better. fresh veggies always, bakery, and almost everything a super store has. comparable prices to jaya grocer.

I know Mercato because of my shopping experience in Mercato Sri Hartamas Kuala Lumpur some years ago. Now with Mercato Gurney I am just delighted that its such an fantastic change that brings supermarket shopping experience to be on par with KL counterparts. The ĺayout here is excellent and clean, foòd is fresh with a wide variety. This of course ìs expected and one need not insert an 50sen còin to get a trolley wich is a big deal. Another big deal is the check-out payment counters where the cashier after punching, stacks the items properly into the bags for you with a smile always.

Don’t know where to get fresh flowers from? You can now get them at Mercato. They sell one of the best and fresh flowers and at affordable pricing!

Great complex shopping for all your needs, M &S, Mercanto The Barn great eats cool beers great Guinness lovely attentive staff. Newly opened foodcourt 4th floor, wonderful variety of Asian eats. Time flies in Gurney Plaza!

Not your average supermarket. There's ice cream stall that serves made on the spot ice cream, bakery, sample stalls... Product variety is huge.

I love the frozen veggies section here, some of the healthy snacks and the fresh meat as well as the frozen bakery and dairies..

Awesome selections from around the world. One of my favourite supermarkets on the island - and the only place I have found Gorgonzola cheese!
