On a decent sized mound of rice with an extremely generous portion of multiple gravies only the man knows what the right proportion is. Never mind the grungy table or the questionable hygiene of the plates. Trust me these guys are so good, even the health inspector eats here, even if deep in his logical mind he may wanna fail these guys. And immerse yourself in the culture of food that Nasi Kandar represents - the migration of cuisine from India and fusion with local ingredients and creating its own unique flavour profile that is second to none.

the only place i repeat to eat nasi kandar at penang during my 6 days stay here. fried chicken is tip top (kampung crispy style). curry campur is surrrrr. waiter so generous give me another teh o ais as i accidentally spilled it. thanks uncle may the force is with you.

Considered my last visit here, the nasi is not sedap as usual. Having inconsistent condition as my friend also had this experience. The kuah daging like not properly cooked U can still smelled the uncooked rempah. Or else the chef was there no more.

The kuah ikan still sedap but the signature kuah daging is totally, out.

Next time we just go to Shah Maju .. seen a long que also at lunch hour.

We visit Penang often, but we've never had the chance to try their authentic nasi Kandar. This time, we don't want to miss out, so we chose Restoran Deen based on their good reviews on Google Maps. Even though most of the reviews said that parking is limited (which is true!), we decided to give it a try.

We arrived at 11am (On Sat) for early lunch and were lucky to find a parking spot. There was a short queue at the restaurant, and when it was our turn, we ordered plain rice, fried chicken, 1/2 salted egg, steamed ladies finger and acar (pineapples, cucumbers, and red onion pickles) and topped with herbs-spices gravy(kuah). Kuah campur & kuah daging were highly recommended.

In terms of the seating space, we were lucky that there were still plenty of tables available. However we noticed more people coming around lunch time. I liked this place because it was clean and the staff were friendly too. Not only was the food delicious to our liking, but the price was reasonable as well. Gonna visit again next time to try other dishes. Thanks!

Parking is limited, roadside parking next to a busy road. I came around 7pm Thursday night parking was available but quickly taken up within 20minutes. Short queue for the food and many seats available. I took squid, okra & salted egg RM15.30 with mixed gravies (kuah campur), ginger tea RM4. Relatively clean shop, could be improved. Everyone was happy and enjoying nasi kandar, you'll feel the camaraderie. Taste wise the curries heat and spices will hit your tongue immediately but doesn't linger very long. To me the curry mix taste sweeter compared to Hameediyah's. Overall it is a recommended nasi kandar fix.

As one said, this is one of the perfect place if you craving for nasi kandar.

The taste is quite spicy. However, the fried chicken is tender and crispy.

If you found yourself eating at this place, dont forget to add ‘papadom’. It will makes the dishes complete.

Forget to find empty parking lot here. Just try find the parking adjacent of the restaurant. Plenty of room there.

Thick curries/kuah/gravy, complimented by your choice of meat / sides.

The fried chicken is highly recommended - it's very crispy, and works really well with rice covered in 3-4 curries. Eaten on its own, it can be dry, but eaten as intended, it's wonderful.

I had:
- 2x fried chicken
- Fish egg
- 2x egg
- 2x bendi/okra
- 2x rice & curries
- 2 drinks

and it came up to RM24++.

Come to the counter with your order in mine - there is sotong/squid, prawn, fried chicken, eggs (salted, fried, boiled) and much more.

So far the best nasi kandaq in Penang! Ate after a few hours, but the taste was excellent! Their kuah is so thick and full of flavours! Definitely my go to nasi kandar in Penang!!

Nice place. Cheap compared to other restaurant. Very fast service. Delicious hot food. A lot of chairs to sit.

One of the best Nasi Kandar in Penang! Curry so sedap and less congested. Still long Q during peak hours but worth the wait.

One of the best NK in town (still can’t beat Kg Melayu)

The only turn off points are very long queue during peak hours and hard to find parking spot. But still it’s really worth the wait. The gravy is so flavorful and thick and the ayam goreng is very crispy and tender.
