First time here after seeing many rave reviews. Walking distance from the three main hotels at the beginning of Batu Ferringhi with ample parking at the complex. Food is good and service is very fast. Owner and family are super friendly. A bit pricy for locals but acceptable considering the location, plus the food is delicious. Ordered 5 large dishes for 6 pax sharing and it came up to about RM35 per head. Would go again to try other dishes.

Extremely tasty meal. We had butter shrimp, salted egg yolk shrimp, marmite chicken (best thing ever), deep fried ice cream and more. Love the ambiance here and the restaurant seems nice and clean. Highly recommend coming here!!! I will be back for the marmite chicken 🤤

Let me say, that the entrance to this restaurant felt super dodgy, amongst the abandoned shops. But once you get to the second floor, you'll be greeted with a bustling restaurant, and it's worth it.
In this touristy area, it's hard to find good food, so it's really a hidden gem here. They serve local food Peranakan/Chinese style, but it's halal.

Ordered their kapitan chicken curry, salted egg squid, butter prawn, and their popular 1/4 crispy duck. Everything was good, and tasted delicious.
For the crispy duck, it's served in one piece, with slices of wrapping at the side. They'll help you to shred the meat apart, so in the end, it'll feel like pulled duck meat. Which you can wrap with other veges, in the wrap, and then dip into the few sauces given.

Service is fast and friendly. Would recommend others to come here!

We had dinner at Andrew’s on three consecutive nights and the food got better night after night!
The restaurant is located at a shopping centre just across the Golden Sands Resort. Don’t expect luxury but the atmosphere is truly authentic and the staff are lovely.
The Malaysian curry (chicken and beef) were so delicious and the fried ice cream was a delight.
Prices are quite reasonable and portions are very generous. Booking is recommended, you can do this via Andrew’s WhatsApp.
We are leaving Penang tomorrow and we will certainly miss Andrew’s delicious food and Malay hospitality.

Fabulous dinner at Andrew's Kampung! Found on Google and worth the walk in the rain. All dishes we ate (sizzling prawns, Kapitan chicken, kon can in garlic and anchovy rice) and the dessert, fried ice-cream was amazing!!! The service was great - with very friendly staf, food came quickly and very reasonably priced! Would definitely recommend,

Such a hidden gem in the area 😍😍😍
We had the Cripsy Duck, Salted Egg Prawns, Morning Glory and Chicken Curry. Everything perfectly seasoned.

You might go through very old elevators, the building might feel a bit scary 😂 but once you reach the floor (i dont rmb exactly maybe 3-4th), i will find the restaurant on the left handside with the local and friendly vibe. It feels exactly like a hidden vintage restaurant that no one knows. You can enjoy the wind blowing while having amazing food!!!

Highly recommend if you stay around this area!

One of the best food/restaurant in Penang!

Loved the salted egg squid! But we also got Marmite chicken and Beef rendang which were also so good and tasty. Beef was tender.

At first we thought prices were not cheap but in the end, it was worth it.

Definitely one we will recommend to anyone and everyone.

I recommend healthy good and cheap

I have just eaten a mix vegetable soup (broccoli mushroom etc...,,) for 10 RM and a fish filet with garlic for 20 RM all tasteful and healthy. Price looks cheap and I recommend. Staff are very friendly too and they find me a table quickly I did not make a reservation.

We loved Andrew's Kampung!

It is a family operated restaurant which shows in both the lovely customer service & the amazing food that is pumped out of their kitchen. Our favourite dish was the deep-fried whole sea bass with Thai spicy sauce- so tender & flavoursome! Highly recommend.

We turned up without a booking on a Wednesday evening & were very lucky to snag a table. Lots of repeat customers! Recommend you definitely book!

This restaurant is the definition of a hidden gem! It is not very easy to reach, located on the 2nd Floor at the back of a mall. It is family owned and is serving mainly Chinese dishes in addition to some Malaysia and Thai.

We ordered the homemade spring roll as a starter, and oh man it was the best I ever tried in my life, was fully stuffed with vegetables and fried to perfection with a super crunch outside. For the main dishes, we got the sizzling beef, the meat was very tender and the sauce was silky and not too sweet. We also got their signature fried rice topped with fresh fried anchovies and spicy green pepper. The highlight of this dinner was the sweet and sour Thai style fried fish. The fish meat was very tender and the sauce was succulent and had the right consistency and sweetness. We got their homemade icetea as well, which was amazing.

This meal really put a smile on my face. All of the family members working there were very friendly and helpful and they are doing their best to make sure everyone is having a great time

A very unassuming restaurant in an authentic Malay neighbourhood. Their crispy duck is eaten similarly like Beijing duck but served differently. For me, it is fabulous with a bowl of rice. Their sizzling dishes are a hit with foreigners and locals too. If you are nearby, give it a try. The place is windy. So eat your food while it is piping hot.

Butter prawn was excellent. The flour layer was thin but inner prawn was juicy and fresh. 5 stars

Thai style seabass fish was another outstanding dish. Sauce was adequate and flavourful. Highly addictive if take along with rice. 5 stars

Duck confit with wrapper popiah skin was excellent. So good and delicious. The boss was so attentive and offer us extra wrapper before we asking for. 5 stars

Kampung style fried rice was the best we tasted so far. Simple dish but greate taste. A bit spicy added to the depth of this fried rice. 5 stars

Stir fried kangkung was normal restaurant standard. 2 stars

Homemade spring roll was the best. Highly recommended. Stuff filling was so satisfying. 5 stars

Serving within 15 minutes upon ordering even under full house dinner peak hours. The boss so kind and courtesy. Ambience was great.

Lot of parking places at roadside during dinner time. Take lift and press 2
