Perhentian Chomel Chalet

We stayed at Chomel Chalet for 4 nights, and we had a perfect time. When you arrive, they offer you a very tasty welcoming drink. Each and every member of the staff is so nice, and there is a real sense of family there. They have such a strong sense of hospitality and they will answer all your needs. The prices of the restaurant are very correct. You can enjoy the private beach of the hotel, or walk to coral bay in only 20 minutes. Thank you very much for the Chomel experience. I recommend staying here 100%.

- the food portion should be more generous

I stayed 4 days in this little corner of heaven and honestly I felt so good after these days.

If you look at something quiet, cute with wonderful people very kind an chill, go here without any doubt.

The location is may be little bit isolated but it is what makes it so calm, chill and unique ! (You can still access easily to Coral beach by walking 15 minutes and reach Long Beach in 10 minutes more or use a taxi boat).

The staff is amazing, joyful and smiling. You feel very quickly that you are part of the Chomel family !

Food is also very good for a very reasonable price (10-15 ringgit for lunch). I had a delicious grilled fish on the barbecue the last night. It is more expensive than basic meal but once it worth it !

Finally, diving with Dean is awesome. He is not very talkative but he knows his job very well and that makes you confident (which is important for beginners). If you want a first good experience and fully enjoy it, come here !

Excellent tranquil location, nice beach with sun beds, the staff is helpful.
For me, this is one of the best location on the island. You can walk to a more busy beach (15min) and to the main village too (20-25min), or take the water taxi.
Had a regular room, not the shared one.

We stayed four nights and did a diving course. The family running the chalets as well as the dive instructor were very friendly and helpfull. Beautiful beach. The food was good, barbeque fish and lemon grass chicken were our favorite. You can walk 20 min though a jungle path to coral bay and from there to long beach, but especially when it gets dark we preferred taking the water taxi

I had a great time staying at Chomel! The staff were kind and helpful, the bedrooms were clean, fresh towels were provided daily.
It’s about half an hour walking distance to long beach and fishier man village.

I did a lot of walking and hiking around the island, and I must say that Chomel has the most organised and clean private beach.

They served delicious Tom yam dish and tea-o-ice 😊

This resort is PERFECTION!!! Can't complain about anything. The hostess, Mek Chomel is friendly and attended to our every need, just say it and she'll make it happen. Just as we step down from the boat, we're welcomed by the hostess with refreshing drinks and she made sure we're fully rested from the 30 minutes boat ride before we checked in.

The room is clean, no weird odour. Linens freshly changed. there's a safe, open wardrobe, desk and side table..wifi is provided too! no tv but it wasn't necessary anyway.

The food there is AWESOME!!! There's array of choices from rice dishes to pasta to snack and the taste is delicious.

The beach is private to the resort so not crowded at all. Not as wide as long beach or coral bay but good enough for family events. They had barriers on each side of the beach for guest to swim and won't need to worry about boats coming in..

The beach front already has many fishes and coral for us to see during snorkeling. There's also kayaks to rent.

The resort provides packages for trips to pulau rawa, redang, snorkel points and others. there's also water taxi services if you need to go to long beach.

Definitely this place sets a high bar for us and will always become our go to resort in the island.

We had a lovely stay at Chomel Chalet Perhentian Kecil. The rooms are equipped with AC and a balcony facing the ocean. Remi and the family go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and taken care of. Also there is a great dive center just next door! We really enjoyed our stay!

Quiet ambience. Suitable for those who want privacy. The beach is private and exclusive for hotel guest, also a good snorkeling spot. They have their own snorkeling and boat packages so you don't have to travel far to Long Beach to find any. The location is a bit far from the others but it gives privacy and very peaceful. Service is excellent. Although the wifi need a little improvement but everything is spot on. Will stay again.

Great, clean, quiet affordable private beach resort managed by chomel couples. Full electricity and new place.
Snorkelling available directly in front of the resort where u can easily spot fish & baby sharks.Food was great & afforable at resort restaurant. Island trips can be booked at reception with a reasonable price. Picture perfect for IG, FB post!

The staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The resort essentially has its own private beach with a good variety of sealife in the vicinity so snorkelling is also good, much better than long beach. Quiet and isolated so if you're going to the islands to party, this may not be the place for you although Coral Beach and Long Beach are both walkable. Coral beach has many more to eating options than the beach at Chomel.

Nothing fancy but just nice. If u want fancy don't stay here. Just opened in 2019 so it's pretty new. Private beach cz there's only 1 chalet there. Food is tasty cz the owner cook herself. Staff are nice and friendly. Got 1 comment though, pillow bit flat and mattress need padded layer cz can feel the spring 😬

The workers were very kind, ( especially Shohga) helped you in everything, they were attentive, close, we felt like family. the hotel is new, the rooms are clean, the views from the terrace are beautiful, the location great, it is a very beautiful beach and has a beautiful sunset. They have taxi service and are always willing to take you where you want to even pick you up. They also offer many excursions at the same price as in the rest of the island and with the convenience of leaving from the hotel. everything you can pay with a card, but it is better to carry cash, the sign on the island is not very good and sometimes it does not work. the hotel restaurant great, the food is very good and the prices are reasonable. Thanks to our stay at this hotel it has been a perfect vacation, if I go back to the island I will definitely go.

Los trabajadores fueron muy amables, te ayudaban en todo, eran atentos, cercanos, nos sentimos en familia. el hotel es nuevo, las habitaciones están limpias, las vistas desde la terraza son preciosas, la ubicación genial, es una playa muy bonita y tiene un atardecer precioso. ellos tienen servicio de taxi y siempre están dispuestos a llevarte donde quieras incluso a recogerte. también ofrecen muchas excursiones al mismo precio que en el resto de la isla y con la comodidad de que salen desde el hotel. todo lo puedes pagar con tarjeta, pero es mejor llevar efectivo, la señal en ls isla no es muy buena y a veces no funciona. el restaurante del hotel genial, la comida estay muy buena y los precios son razonables. gracias a nuestra estancia en este hotel han sido unas vacaciones perfectas, si vuelvo a la isla sin duda iré allí.

Quiet private beach. Staff were very helpful n friendly. Clean beach with clear water that was perfect for snorkelling. Definitely will come back and stay here.

We slept there for 1 night and it was awesome! The staffs/owner were friendly and the vibes were just amazing. Not forgetting the view and the cleanliness of the private beach were superb!

I have no idea where these bad reviews are coming from. We went there four times and each time the food was cooked from fresh, good portions, cheapest price we found on the island and tasty. Staff were also lovely on every visit! Thank you guys.
