Matahari Chalet & Restaurant

Stayed for 3 nights, first night in a room in a longhouse (80myr) and the next 2 in a bungalow (95myr). There wasn't much difference in rooms, the bungalow was more spacious and had curtains, and there was a very welcome breeze on the decking area! The staff here are awesome, so helpful. We had no bulb for the decking area and they replaced the fitting straight away. We then had a few electrical problems which were again seen to straight away. We also partied with some of them on the beach! Breakfast included with room too, not too shabby ay

Really good quality for the price in the island. The only bad point is that electricity just works from 6:30 PM to 10AM. It’s the best in the island.

Awesome diving with very experienced guides and instructors. Very capable and motivated to give you the best time they can. Jeng the owner a most friendly and knowledgeable man, who was born and raised on the island. Nothing really for divers who wanna log deep dives but therefore awesome sites. Most advisable

Chalets are nice, clean and affordable (125 Myr for 3 persons incl breakfast). Breakfast is included in the rooms and very good. Choice of 5 different menus, like local ( fried rice, noodle etc), omelette and toast, pancakes and many more.

Long beach Matahari Chalet & restaurant, long beach where to watch the sun rise, interesting views, very modest accommodation cost & many more activities such as tracking jungle to coray bay,scuba dive or snorkeling trip .. (for cheNgoh Emah & jero by m "jue promo)

The chalet is clean and good! The diving shop is just in front of the chalet it is convenient for a diver like me

Nos hemos quedado en sus chalet 2 personas a 110 RM la noche con desayuno, bastante bueno. El alojamiento está bien situado y es tranquilo, entre los chalets hay un bonito jardín. El desayuno incluye frutas y zumo. Muy recomendable

Simpele accommodatie, maar perfect voor op de Perhentians. Schone huisjes, heerlijk ontbijt en behulpzaam personeel. Fijne tijd gehad!

Accommodation on Perhentians is, in most cases, ultra basic. You’ve gotta pick the best out of the worst options if you’re on a budget.

I stayed in a fan bungalow. Matahari has bigger bungalows than many others, a nice and well kept garden surrounding the premises, big beds and overall nice services. It’s 2 minutes from the beach and a minute from the café where you can finally get AC, wifi and coffee all at once.

Compared to what you can get in long Beach, it's the best (talking about the renovated air con rooms). I would appreciate to have such review before coming here as I spent one night in Panorama and for the same price it's just awful and I mean it. There's also food and good wifi. When you come to long Beach you should know that it's a backpacker place with very basic (sometimes dirty) conditions so be aware of that.
