Orang Hutan Campsite

Great camping experience and great hosts.
About 8min hike to the site.
Tent is quite big and the reception area is cozy.
The starry night in the jungle is an experience to behold too.
Great value for money.
The beach itself is small but there is like a viewing deck where you can enjoy the sunset. You also walk to Long Beach within 30min.

I loved this place .. if you like camping then you should check out this place. You need to hike for like 10 mins from the rainforest beach to reach the camping area.
The hike is good, you will start to feel your legs.. haha

You would feel so close to nature 😍.

The owners chii and ejann are excellent host. They will welcome you with open arms and make you feel at home.
I would definitely recommend this place and would love to go back here again....!

The Orang Hutan Camp is an amazing place to calm down and relax. The Hosts are super chilled and try to help where ever they can. Arriving at rainforest beach just head up the hill and after 5 min you are at the camp! The Beaches in this are areway more less crowded than long beach or coral bay. The tents are in a good condition amd the mattress was comfortable. The food (fried rice etc.) was for free!!

Really cool place to stay! Really remote and no signals, what else? The staff is so friendly and helpful. They can also organize your return boat to mainland Malaysia. Diner was just axing and we had a lot to eat! Excellent stay, I highly recommend!

I usually traveling around the world, but those moments spent over there were so relaxing. The camp is peaceful as the guys in there!

The Orang Hutan Camp is a wonderful place in the jungel. We will never forget the place and the people. The way to the most beautiful beach of the island is very short. There is also a restaurant on the beach with a very good kitchen. We were 14 days on the island. The toilets and showers are clean. We discovered new animals every day. The hike to Long Beach or the fishing village is not far to explore.

Should you be of the type that want something authentic and novel in your travels and experiences, this is where you stop by whilst on the Perhentian Islands.

This is a camping site, located in the hillside jungle, no longer than a 5 minutes walk away from the beach. The tents are modern, spacious and come with mattresses and clean sheets. During the night you hear the sounds of jungle and can gaze into the night sky if you are so inclined. Adequate showers and toilets are on the premises. That is not why you stay here, however.

You stay here because you want to meet Ejan, his crew, their friends and their pets. An artistic, inclusive and educated Malay bunch with gentle, humble, fun, compassionate, friendly, honest and intelligent personalities who among other things can offer you original and well-thought through perspectives and great conversations. They might also offer you breakfast as well as dinner(or you can cook your own) in their modest but uniquely decorated hut. On occasions they might arrange a movie night, sing along sessions with instruments or other activities.

We stayed here for one night, it is for campers so be prepared to experience the jungle life with some facilities.

Lovely place and lovely staff. If you want to be completely outside of stress and love the Jungle beside the beach, I recommend you Orang Hutan. Arif(the Manager? ) was a really peaceful and cool human being and I met some really good friends there. Specially A French family ♥

I’m not really an adventurer, this is my first camping experience in jungle but I give it 5 star. Host Ezan & Chi is chill and helpful, they try their best to make us comfortable as they can. It’s a good experience for me, like it so much, thanks to Orang Hutan

Amazing place to stay. Basic but big tents. The atmosphere here is perfect. The staff is amazing. Super friendly and caring. Even when we did not stay here anymore we went back to chill.

Une belle expérience dans ce camping très authentique situé dans la jungle, à 10 min à pied de la mer. Les hôtes sont d'une grande gentillesse, très accueillants. Ils rendent le lieu convivial, vous pourrez déguster leur délicieux repas fait maison dans leur petit Havre de paix, au son de la guitare... Si vous recherchez un endroit pour être en osmose avec la nature, vous ne serez pas déçus...Le must: un chat tout doux habite les lieux 😻

The moment aku sampai kat lokasi.. i be like "mind blow". Close friend of mine yg recommend tempat ni, so kita gerak sama2 ke org hutan campsite.

Aku memang nk get away from city life, see the GREENS, live the moment, meeting new people, sharing stories, sharing FOOD!, bonding with ur close ones.

Tbh.. aku x tido pun dlm kemah sbb best tido ramai, nap sma2. I needed that moment. Best doh! tido kat hammock n at the same time close to nature.

Tips*

Kalau korang plan dtg sini, buat la 1 hari tuh chill day. Msk sama2 ke, kopi or tea time sma2 ke, snacking on junks Santai2 kat "mothership" aka the Lounge. K!

EJan n ci i had wonderful time at Orang Hutan! Tq! kalau ada slh silap terslah bahasa.. ampun ya!😝.

La nourriture y est excellente.
