Excellent food, super friendly staff. Pretty expensive, but we got a tip from a local to use a coupons app. With 20% off it was a very fair price for the quality.

My husband and I went for dinner a few nights ago. We each had the Icelandic feast. The food was exceptional and so was the service. The ambiance was very nice. We especially loved all the lamb and lobster dishes and enjoyed the brennevin as well. The smoked lamb abs also the garlic lobster tails were out of this world. We both found the puffin very interesting as well. Highly recommend!

Food was great, atmosphere was cool. The service was excellent and very friendly but could have been a little more attentive.

Highly recommend if you're in Reykjavik looking for a cool spot.

Don't hesitate to visit this place. Awesome service, outstanding food and a great vibe going on inside the restaurant.
I went there with my little sister and we had the Icelandic gourmet feast and it is a seven course menu.
It's definitely more of a 'fine dining' restaurant but so worth every single penny.
We also got a berry mojito, a cocoloco and a virgin surprise cocktail (i got some sort of a virgin Pina colada drink).

The name is a bit deceiving. This is a Spanish inspired joint that delivers typical Icelandic food. Great food at that.

I had the Icelandic gourmet Prix fixe menu and was very impressed with the quality of the ingredients and preparation.
I didn’t check out vegetarian options but the animal proteins were delicious.

Service was fun and attentive.

The music in the background was upbeat Spanish pop/folk and gives the place a vibrant somewhat exotic atmosphere.

Went to have some desserts, couldn’t decide so I order dessert platter with bit of everything. The basque burn cheesecake was amazing🤩

The Icelandic Gourmet Feast is a must-have worth the money and experience. The presentation is phenomenal, and you will get to see, taste and experience a once-in-a-lifetime Icelandic feast, for sure. The drinks are fun, and again the splendid and artistic presentations adds to the special Icelandic specialties. The Minke Whale and smoked puffin dishes were the most memorable of all. The portions are generous, and every dish tastes absolutely amazing.

Fantastic food! Hefty portions. Be ready to eat. The Icelandic tasting menu is the way to go. It is a of art and tasty. The whale tasted like the best rib eye steak of dreams. The puffin was fantastic like portabella mushrooms. Both fish dishes were cooked to perfection with rich and wonderful sauces. Every thing truly was fantastic. Tye desert was refreshing and not too sweet. A perfect meal to be remembered.

Great arctic char! I loved the (Latin) atmosphere of the place. Unfortunately, when we ordered beef, the waitress didn't ask about how we liked the steak, and it came so rare.

This was the best restaurant I was ever at. As an American, this was just a random place my family and I went to go sit down and eat, and everything they made was good. I had a steak, and it was easily one of the best steaks I have ever had. The food here is amazing, and I would get anything off their menu.

Excellent food and service. I was wanting to try a few different local flavors, and they have a very filling sampling platter for tourists to get a little bit of everything. The plating is elegant, the flavors are excellent in each dish, the restaurant has a beautiful ambiance, and the servers are friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The Icelandic Gourmet Feast has enough dishes that, unlike other times I've had tapas, I felt like I'd have a full meal and my hunger was sated as well. (You'll have to excuse the lack of a photo of the arctic char, I ate it before photographing)

The food was incredible and the staff was so nice. We got the Icelandic gourmet tasting menu, and it was well worth the money. Easily one of, if not the, best meal I've ever had. A truly amazing dining experience!

Went with friends October 30. We didn’t have a reservation but manager was able to squeeze 4 of us in.
Had an amazing meal i got Icelandic feast. My other friend got vegan set meal and other 2 had journey into the unknown.
We were all very impressed with our meals!
Tasty and presentation!
Only issue was so filling we had to take dessert for takeaway since we barely could enjoy our 7th course!
Staff were amazing and attentive.

Later that night after we had seen northern lights we crushed our desserts!!!
We highly recommended restaurant to rest of our group and quite a few went after we returned to Reykjavik!
Should be on your to go to list if you are in Reykjavik!!

This restaurant was just around the corner from our B&B and fantastic. We tried the smoked puffin, wasn’t a fan. But the rest of the menu was great!! Would definitely go back.

I want to preface this by reminding that my reviews are not satire. I am genuine with my reviews and I genuinely love reviewing water. Onto the review.

I love the water here. Last year I had visited this restaurant and I’ve had fond memories of it ever since. The water is spectacular, fresh and light, and chilled to perfection. Served in a well sized bottle for refilling, the glass was an elegantly shaped chalice. The stem of the chalice was the length of about two centimetres, with a thin-ish yet sturdy width, the stem then arcs into the cup itself—a decent size with smooth glass. Overall, this water was wonderful, I had drank many full glasses and it paired great with my meal. Yet again, it’s a must drink, regardless of whether or not you purchase a different drink.

Couldn’t afford the Icelandic Feast so I had the Ling with Langoustines instead. Awesome.
The 4 star for service was for serving it on a less than warm plate. Apart from that it is a splendid place to eat. Full of locals…we were the only tourists, which has to be a good sign(?). A bit worrying was the fact that I was the oldest bloke in there…great atmosphere though.

This is definitely a jewl in the Reykjavík food scene. I was honestly not expecting to love it as much as I did. They even start you off with an amazing homemade bread basket accompanied with two very different but equally elegant and flavorful spreads. We did 5 tapas for two people and that was more then enough!
