We had a wonderful time on our food tour with “Burger” (easy version of a much longer/harder name). The food was every bit as good as we hoped it would be but for us the highlight of the adventure was Burger’s deep knowledge of Iceland (a true local), his dry sense of humor and recommendations for further adventures. We visited 5 restaurants and the highlights were arctic char, “prisoner food” (mix of potato and fish), langoustine tacos, lamb soup and rye bread ice cream. This was our first day in Reykjavik and a wonderful way to acquaint ourselves for the next few days.

We were only in the city for two days so it was a wonderful experience to be able to experience the local cuisine in five different restaurants - each place with their own Icelandic personalities. The different places we went to were fantastic. Our guide Dagur was entertaining and so informative about all the food traditions and food customs. He was a treasure to be with!! The three hour tour went by too fast - we could have spent all day tasting and toasting to such a beautiful country.

Ari was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable not just with the cuisine but also with the culture. He took his time to explain every dish and their Icelandic background. This was our very first food tour and Ari definitely made it special and fun. We thank you Ari. We highly recommend this tour.

Truly a fantastic experience! We love doing a food tour day 1 of a trip, so we know good places to eat the rest of the time we are visiting. This walking tour allowed us to get acquainted with the city quickly, and the food at all 5 stops was incredible! We took friends back to the first stop for the "bacon of the sea" and the rye ice cream was unforgettable. Most importantly, Snowy (Andri) was amazing - informative, enthusiastic, and entertaining. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Reykjavík!!

Iceland Food Tour:
This was by far the best tour we experienced in Iceland.
Stevie, our guide, was so personable, knowledgeable, fun, funny, and just an all around super guy. He regaled us with Icelandic history, folklore, amusing stories, & pointed out famous buildings and hot spots & wove everything in with humour and his great energy. He made this tour as much fun as it was.
We went to 5 very different and unique restaurants, all within walking distance from the others.
We experienced diverse foods, including (but not limited to), arctic char, braised lamb, local & traditional dishes, fermented shark (no way did I try that! But my husband did!), rye bread ice cream, the local “hooch”, and it was all delicious.
I would highly recommend for anyone - singles, couples and families.

Our guide Andri was AWESOME! He was very knowledgeable and hilarious. I mean, wow… made us laugh the whole time. We were short on sleep from our travels, running late, but Andri was so nice and understanding. I loved every restaurant they picked for our food tour. The absolute best way to spend our first day in Iceland learning about the culture, history, and tasting some authentic Iceland cuisine.

Noki was a wonderful guide! I highly recommend him. His tour of the restaurants of Iceland were amazing just like all the food choices. We really liked his stories about how the history of Iceland, the culture and its people are all intertwined. All the food, with the stories will always stay with us, the best was Cafe Loki the Rye bread ice cream was to die for. If you are looking for good food, conversation, stories this is the tour for you.

A perfect way to start your evening in Reykjavik. First of all our host for the day - Tanja. An amazing person who was explaining the origin of few Icelandic dishes like rye bread, fermented shark 🦈, local beer and stories behind the attractions.

This was a great opportunity to walk the streets in Reykjavik and have some exotic dishes from the best restaurants in Reykjavik.

Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Excellent way to start our Iceland adventure! Stevie was a hilarious and knowledgeable guide, and the food was fantastic. We even got “lucky” enough to try the infamous fermented shark, which was an experience, even if it was pretty gross lol

This was such an amazing tour!! It was a great first exposure to the city. After 24 hours of travelling to get to Iceland, it was great to jump right into a tour where someone brings you places to eat delicious food! Our guide, Alexa, was more than helpful and gave us so many great suggestions. She had answers to all our questions and was enthusiastic to help and share. She is definitely a pro at her job.
Also, during the planning process the people in the office were more than helpful! Great tour company!

We had an amazing time on this tour. I was just expecting to eat a few local dishes, but our tour guide Burgur was amazing and gave us so much detail about the town, history, and even shopping points. We learned so much on this tour, as we had some amazing Icelandic dishes. Arctic Char, original Icelandic hot dog (lamb), shark meat, local soup, and tacos. We could not ask for more. Everything on this tour was amazing. I want to give another shout out to Burgur as he made this tour memorable. It felt like we had known him for long.

Stevie made this tour completely memorable. A truly authentic experience with a local Icelandic tour guide. This tour is a great way to spend the afternoon to explore Reykjavik, learn a little bit of the history and enjoy some local food. The tour lasted 3 hours and we enjoyed small plates at 5 different food spots. Note; you won’t need to each much after the tour so no need to make dinner reservations!

Disa led our group to different authentic local restaurants in Reykjevik, taking her time to explain why we were there, what we were served, and introduced us to the cuisine culture, which is important to a true foreign culture experience. Wonderful personality, a truly fabulous experience!
