Taste of Iceland

This is a charming store! The store is decorated very nicely and there is a nice selection of merchandise. Most of the merchandise is handmade and local. The owner is very kind and helpful.

We were in the shop twice. A few days ago we went in to look around and Bogna was so helpful and knowledgeable. She gave us samples to try and helped us with selections. We only bought a couple of things because it was our first store but we promised we’d be back if we wanted more. Last night we went back because even though some of the products could be found cheaper elsewhere, I like to support small business owners who clearly pride themselves on customer service. This time the owner was there and he was also incredibly friendly and helpful. I am happy to see that he will be expanding his store and I look forward to making purchases online and visiting again when I am here next. A wonderful experience and I highly recommend this shop!

We enjoyed shopping in this store. The owner was so kind and helpful and gave us a few lakkris to taste before we bought some packs. Their website doesnt seem to be working, but I would love to see if the owner takes international orders so I can buy a supply of the lakkris! :)

Well curated store of Icelandic products, anything from craft salts, to chocolate, syrups and so much more. The owner is very friendly, knowledgeable about products and helpful.

Bought some very nice teas, cooking salts and hard candies as travel gifts for friends and family. The owner of the store was very friendly and we had a nice conversation. The owner clearly curates the products they sell and it didn’t have a tourist gift shop vibe like many other stores.

What a wonderful shop! The owner is so friendly and knowledgeable about his product. Had a wonderful chat with us even after we had purchased our goods. Provided free samples of local candies as well. 10/10 would recommend, and will be returning next time I am in Reykjavik.

Shop is clean and welcoming. The owner was so helpful with choosing the right gifts, we completed all our gift shopping of everyone back home in one visit! Make sure to stop here if you are looking for Icelandic souvenirs that at truly made in Iceland.

Needed another duffle bag to bring home all the treats I bought. All food was wonderful. Son loved the hot sauces, heat with good flavor. The cat turned his nose up with the fish cat treats. Finicky! Neighbors cat loved the fish treats.

Had such a great experience with the owner— lots of tasting to make sure we enjoy the chocolate we buy. He was so knowledgeable and sweet. A true gem and a sure stop during shopping!

Walked into the store before heading to the airport. Bought "Birch & Apple" at the reccomendation of the guy at the store. He said he was the brother of the owner, very cute with epic tattoos, wished we could have chatted longer.

Shop owner was super helpful. Offered us free samples and suggested his favorite popcorn flavors. Would recommend for sure!

Fantastic shop with a great selection of local products. Personally my favourite is the Kandis hard candy. Friendly staff great atmosphere. Dont forget to check out their online shop too for an even greater selection.
