Great service, super tasty food, wonderful views of the port, had a really nice breakfast and around 11 on a weekend it emptied out so it was nice and quiet before the lunch rush. The fish soup and full breakfast was so filling and yummy. The staff were also very warm and friendly! Our first restaurant stop in Iceland and it was very good 😊

You get what you can expect from harbour restaurant. Nice people, semi-selfservice, catch of day, older furniture. More to enjoy authentic atmosphere than to have there romantic dinner 😉

Excellent place for lunch! We ordered fish and chips and fresh trout. Both dishes were delicious. The fish was properly fried; tasty and light!

The price is also reasonable (for being in Iceland and Reykjavik). We paid around 24 euros for each main dish.

Located in the harbor area, the place has a cozy and tranquil atmosphere. Full of light and friendly staff.

This place is also visited by locals which is always a good sign😉 I recommend it!

AMAZING!!! I tried the Icelandic Pönnukaka and now it’s allll I can think about. Service was great! The view of the boats docked at the harbor while you’re eating is awesome as well.

Great restaurant right at the harbor front with view to the ships and the water. We had a creamy cod dish with potatoes, which was 10/10. You order ar the counter, and then the food is delivered to you pretty quickly. There really is nothing to complain about.

Simply delicious. Highly recommend fish soup (Odin's soup as per old menu) and Two Danish style butter bread (we had 1 with shrimps and 1 with smoked trout).

Absolutely the best Icelandic Fish Stew in all of Iceland. I've eaten fish stew in many parts of Iceland, and I will come back for this version every time I'm in Reykjavik.

Had a wonderful breakfast at the oldest restaurant in Reykjavik. Short wallk from nearby hotel. Good selection of omelets, eggs, pastries, meats. Good coffee. Reasonable prices.

Portion size was generous and the food was delicious. Restaurant was full of locals which is usually a good sign. Highly recommended for breakfast

Lovely, friendly and cosy cafe/restaurant with great harbour views. It only opens until 8 but is well worth a visit. The fish and chips were delicious and reasonably priced by comparison to many city centre places.

Absolutely amazing fish restaurant. You may be surprised how short the menu is (small little black table in the middle of the bar, behind the counter which you may be looking for for long aming the cakes and coffee machines), but don't be misled. All fish food is wonderful there! Fish balls and Odin's soup probably best of the best. May be difficult to find table as many locals are there and some tourists find a way there too. Located at the old harbour makes it also quite special. Service is really friendly and prices very reasonable (of course for Reykjavík).
Update; kitchen open till 3pm only (not sure though if all days, been there on Friday 3:05pm and was too late)

This is one of those places where you step back in time when you enter. A nice selection of traditional Icelandic cakes, pastries and open-faced sandwiches as well as a menu of fish-based main courses. They have an espresso machine if you want to go for that, but there’s something satisfying about picking one of the assorted cups from a box to hold your drip coffee. Various breakfast options available in the morning. When the weather allows, the outdoor seating area offers a nice view of the harbour and the boats.

Amazing food. Real gem of a find. Located near the harbour its definitely fresh sea food! We had the fish of the day (Arctic char for us) and as part of the fixed price lunch we got soup of the day, bread, water and unlimited coffee. There a wide selection of different dishes, and the desert selection is sublime.

Nice and cozy place in old harbor, close to city center. Nice sweet alternatives, good coffee and nice hosts. From outside patio you can see all boats parked just in front of you. Cover with glasses the balcony is really nice with sun outside. Inside is really cozy as in the best movies. Good option.

Cozy restaurant on the harbor with very good local dishes - fish stew was really tasty. So does fish and chips. Excellent service and nice view of the harbor.

Loved this place!! My wife and I went for lunch finding a mix of tourists and locals (a good sign). I got the fisherman stew thinking I’d get a small bowel of soup. Wrong!! It’s a full meal and delicious!!! Problem was I had also ordered the fish and chips, also very good but too much food!! My wife got mushroom soup and an already prepared ham and cheese croissant. She really liked the soup and felt the sandwich good for what it was. End of the day, I highly recommend a visit. Be sure to get try the fisherman stew!!!

Oldest restaurant in Iceland (1935) features fish and chips, seriously THE Best in the World, fish balls, fish stew, leek soup. We ordered fish and chips which was perfectly seasoned in a light and crispy batter served with French fries cooked to perfection. It was so delicious we came back again! 👌
