Reykjavik Residence Apartment Hotel

We stayed a full 7 days at this hotel, and we enjoyed absolutely everything! We were in the printing press courtyard building, in a family suite. The property was extremely clean, rooms and bathrooms were well appointed with ample supplies. The cereal, milk, juice, and coffee/tea assortments were very nice and welcoming. It was nice to refill our water bottles with Iceland’e amazing tap water each evening, and keep them in the refrigerator for the next day. They also provided ice too, which we greatly enjoyed. We also enjoyed the delightful toiletries that were provided. The hotel staff was extremely responsive before we arrived, as all as while we were on site. They responded super quick to our questions along the way. They also provided us with outstanding restaurant recommendations, that were all fabulous! Close to many sites, but also very nice and quiet accommodations. We felt very safe and secure throughout our stay. I cannot imagine a better stay in the city.

We will gladly stay here again the next time we visit Iceland. We arrived to the hotel at 7 AM after an overnight flight. Since our room wasn’t going to be ready soon they offered my family a safe and comfortable place to nap. They stored our luggage in a locked room and made sure we were comfy. I was beyond thankful we were able to nap with a 10 and 12 year old after being up all night.

The room we had was ready before check in time and was super clean and well maintained. We had plenty of room in our one bedroom for all four of us. Great location for walking as well.

Do yourself a favor and book the Reykjavik Residence Hotel if you are staying in downtown Reykjavik. I’m so glad we decided to stay here, rather than one of the many chain hotels. The hotel itself is very quaint and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. It’s also close to all of the great shopping and restaurants and only two blocks from the bus pick ups for excursions and airport transfers. Make sure you choose the breakfast option. It’s totally worth it. They bring fresh baked bread every morning, along with fresh fruit, yogurt, cheeses, jams, and butter.

Great stay & location. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment, very spacious for 4 people, comfortable living area, kitchen had everything we needed. Breakfast basket is well worth the daily fee & fresh loaf of bread on door each morning was ideal. Would recommend and stay again.

This is a great accommodation for a large family, which can be tough to find in Iceland. Check in is super easy with Flexipass. The apartment was spacious enough, and the breakfast basket is AMAZING and plentiful, and lasted our family of 5 for over 2 days. It's definitely worth adding the breakfast basket to your stay. The location is great, just a short walk from the Hag. church and the harbor.

We were able to walk or catch a hop on hop off bus to go where we wanted. Loved the breakfast baskets delivered the evening before and the fresh bread delivered to our door every morning. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff in the lobby helped us with all of our questions.

Clean, nice and cozy place to stay overnight. Good location near downtown. Lots of coffee capsules in different flavor for guests. There is a public parking lot.

Super comfortable place. Clean and spacious rooms. Very good service and selection for breakfast delivered to your room. Laundry in the basement. Nice kitchenette in the room. 10 mins walking to anywhere in the city and to take a view is the beautiful sceneries.

Good size room for 3/4 people. Breakfast items were substantial and fresh bread everyday. Took few items for our tours as good can get expensive in Iceland. Warm room and shower warm. Great location sea view and bus stop 14 was right outside the car park of our apartment. There is a stretch of apartments and so there could be another closer bus stop or could be a tiny bit further away from 14. Walking distance to the town centre where all the restaurants and bars are located. Harbour nearby for whale watching. Loved it

The apartment was impeccable. It was spacious and clean. We were a family of six and we stayed at one of their apartment 404 at Veghúsastígur 7. We had a key app that worked perfectly. The apartment was equipped with a kitchen with everything that you need. They even supplied every day coffee and chocolate tabs for the coffee machine. The house keeping crew was friendly and did a very good job. The location was perfect and was just a 5 minute walk to the shopping and food lane. I would highly recommend this hotel apartment. We will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful apartment style rooms, conveniently close to everything downtown. Staff were all very pleasant and friendly, and had no problems giving us (very good) recommendations. We will be returning!

Great location for getting around Reykjavik.

If you rented a car the parking was pretty easy. If not it's really easy to walk wherever you need to go.

The rooms are incredibly clean. Amenities are all good. Coffee Maker worked great. Stovetop was a bit tricky but once you figured it out it was fine.

Showers were great and had very good water pressure. Beds were comfortable. There are plenty of outlets.

Staff was very responsive when needed. Only potential downside is that you are in a "busy" section of town so it can be a little loud at times you don't want it to be. Especially if you're adjusting to a time shift. When we got there and saw all the boxes of ear plugs we quickly realized why.

This is our first time in Iceland and of course our plane landed super early and we arrived at the hotel early. Pawel, at the reception building, was so kind to us! He helped up store our luggage and made us coffee and even checked near by restaurants to see what was open for breakfast. He was awesome!!! The room was quaint and adorable, and the breakfast was to die for! We absolutely loved it here!!

Perfectly Located, Spacious, and Bonus Amenities in our Studio Apartment at Reykjavik Residence Apartment Hotel

Our stay at Reykjavik Residence Apartment Hotel during out trip was very enjoyable! The studio apartment we stayed in was fantastic and located perfectly for exploring the city!

Our studio had:
- full kitchenette with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, stovetop, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, sink, dishes, cutlery, cooking/prepping utensils, pots/pans, etc.
- small breakfast table w/ 2 chairs, TV, shelf, 2 beds.
- closet area/rack was really nice and spacious, made it easy to store and organize clothes and accessories. It even had 6 drawers.
- full length mirror on the wall.
- bathroom with walk in shower.

PROS:
- The location is amazing! It is a short walk to get to anywhere! Bus stop #14 is nearby, about a block and a half away. This is where all the tours and airport drop-off and pickups occur. Walking into main streets with shopping, restaurants, pubs (there is an Irish Pub a block away!), bodegas, downtown, and sightseeing is all really close by! Also every time you leave for the day you are 2 blocks from a spectacular view of the water and gorgeous mountains!
- The amenities were better than expected! The cleaning staff always did a fantastic job when needed! It had all the standard needs like coffee, tea, sugar, towels, etc plus some super extras! The bonus items included cereal, milk, and orange juice!!! The cleaning staff also replenished these items! I loved this perk!
- The walk in waterfall shower was very enjoyable! Pressure was great and hot water always instantly available!
- The beds were very comfortable and we both enjoyed our night's rest and naps!
- The wifi worked great and was super fast!

5 STARS A+++ Highly Recommend!

CONS:
The cons aren't noteworthy at all and did not affect our stay! Still give it a perfect rating!
- Only 2 channels available on the television, one of which was in English.
- No general seating area, only 2 small eating chairs for the table or the beds. A nice small couchette would be handy.
- Loud at times from both the common area outside by the restaurant/bar and from the hallway/staff/neighbors. Nothing too bad, but napping during the day may be difficult to some.
- Temperature in the room was very warm. Even though we had both heaters/radiators turned off (bathroom and main living space). Since windows were small and are only on one side of the space it was hard to get airflow throughout.

All the staff provided excellent service , they were always looking to help us out to accommodate to our needs .

The rooms were clean, located on a convenient location and with top notch amenities.
