Setting: My luggage did not arrive so we were desperately looking for a basic change of men's clothes in Hvar. Unfortunately, the closest store had shorts for $135. We went to this store and had a bad experience. No size small, and the owner/ manager was very upset when we brought a beer into the store. I would understand completely. However, all the other stores are fine with it, and open container carrying is encouraged by the bars nearby. I followed his directions without a hint of protest and several apologies, yet he was still very salty at checkout due to the beer I put on the counter where he told me to put it.
Again, I accept responsibility for him being upset about me coming in with a beer, but his response was 150% outsized given the context. Also, I didn't find a shirt or underwear, due to size.
