Fig Hvar

Really impressed with Restaurant Fig in Hvar.
Recently I visited this little gem that's just a few steps off the main tourist drag.
There I got a Legitimate Chicken Burrito and THE most amazing Fruit Salad I had to date. It consisted of Watermelon, Red Onion, Pistachios, Basil, some sort of cheese and some spice. Normally I would never touch such a thing, but WOW it was honestly really good.
But the Chicken Burrito was Fantastic.
I was told that the owner or cook was from California so they know their stuff.
The Staff was Really nice and attentive.
The Seating was limited but comfortable.
I came for an early dinner (4PM-ish) which is why hardly anyone was there.
If I lived in Hvar, I would be a regular.

The food was hearty and delicious with a great portion sizes.
Service was lovely the waiters are very nice and answer any questions that we had.
Would be on my top places to come back and eat especially with such a great selection of food!

Had the pulled pork and the vegetarian korma with the cold pressed orange carrot ginger juice and the IPA. Good nice hearty food away from your standard fare of pizza, pasta, meats, fish. It was well cooked, healthy and delicious!!

A lovely dining experience worth the 50 minutes on a wait list. There are only 10 tables but a lovely hostess/manager/waitress ? Navigates expectant diners with grace and they have a waiting area. Suggestion go around 730 for less of a wait especially for larger parties. It’s a nice intimate atmosphere off the main square. Food is atypical of other Croatian menus - a little southwest. My mango/zucchini salad was abundant and yummy with beetroot dressing. The pulled pork my husband ordered was basically a chili with a kick, vs maybe tacos he expected, but he liked it. Prices were affordable and they have breakfast too. Well Worth a stop when in Hvar.

Hearty, punchy, really flavoursome and big portion food! Fig has a varied menu of different dishes from Mexican, South Asian and European/Western with their own twist and use of local ingredients. The Chimichurri Potatoes were to die for, best dish hands down and so moorish. The Green Chili Chicken Burrito tasted great, lots of flavour and was very big (2 could share this). The burrito could have been spicier but they are probably catering for the average spice tolerance. Their take on the Chicken Korma was something different, not your usual korma with basic and minimal spices being used but actually was very pleasing to eat and very warming, the bread served in the side was delicious and perfect to mop up the sauce.

The staff were super friendly, always smiling and happy to help. Service was very good, we were not waiting long for food. The outdoor seating is in a very cosy but vibrant side street typical of Hvar restaurants and was a relaxing place to eat (taller people may struggle a bit in the outdoor seating and proximity of some tables).

decided to try this restaurant after seeing all the recommendations on social media. It’s a tiny restaurant with incredible service and even better food. The waitress was super nice and the environment was very cosy.
The food was very flavorful and super fulfilling. I had the chicken korma curry and my friends had the Mexican pulled pork, all 5/5 stars
Definitely recommend if you want to try out new foods

One of the BEST restaurant that I’ve been in.
The service is just amazing, they communicate clearly and honestly about the time to wait if you didn’t make a reservation.
And the food is really good and delicious.
I discovered this restaurant the first day of my staying in Hvar and of course I returned the last day before leaving the island.
The watermelon salad is a must try 😋

Very good restaurant serving South American kind of food. The dishes are very tasty and quantities are good. The service is very friendly. Perfect experience. Just to be noted that the place is very popular so better to come early to put your name on the list to get a table later.

Great little bistro offering fresh options. Get the sweet potato fries! The zucchini mango salad and wrap were delicious too. It’s a small place so expect to wait a bit. You can hang around an order drink while you wait.

Some of the best food we’ve had in Croatia. The sweet potato fries with peanuts, sriracha, and garlic mayo were incredible. Mexican pulled pork and green chili chicken burrito were also super good. Will definitely come back next time we come to Hvar, and might try to visit their location in Split tomorrow too

When you go to a restaurant that has an average ranking of 4,7 with thousand of reviews, you expect the food to be good. Yet Fig managed to exceed all my expectations. We ordered flatbread with fig jam and cheese, sweet potato fries and pulled pork. All dishes were at the table within 10 minutes, super fresh and huge (i mean it) portions! The taste was balanced with some surprising spices and herbs. I wish I could eat these every single day!

Great place to grab some dinner at Hvar. Excellent food and the best service. Burgers were good, but I recommend getting something some Mexican food, you won't be disappointed. You don't really need a reservation and the staff was able to help a group of 12 of us find some seating together. If you're staying for a couple of days you should eat here once for sure.

Amazing service and great smiles on the face of everyone. The food is super delicious but it was a bit too spicy for my taste. Maybe i would order it again but not as breakfast.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent! We had a green chilli chicken burrito and pulled pork. It definitely exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this restaurant if people are craving for something different!

During my visit to Hvar I fell in love with this place! So authentic and relaxing. Went all 4 days I was in town to try their different selection …& The breakfast and dinner is delicious! Absolutely loved their spicy eggs for breakfast and their house speciality burger for dinner. Just try it, you won’t regret it!

This place is seriously awesome. We have been for lunch and dinner in two separate days and food was out of this world. I'll be missing this place once I'm back home

We came here for a snack after arriving to the island and it was amazing. The flag breads are great and the staff is super friendly. We are definitely coming back for another meal while we are on the island.

On a lovely little side street, away from the main old town road you will find the amazing Fig restaurant. Our best meal in our entire trip in Croatia! I wish we were hungrier that day as I wanted to try more dishes and we didn’t get the chance to go back. Went to The Fig in Split and it disappoints in comparison. The Zucchini Mango salad is just amazing, I can’t stop thinking about it! The beet dressing and the praline walnuts with the cheese. Seriously the best salad I’ve ever eaten. The chimichurri potatoes were delicious, the chimichurri sauce was neither here nor there but the French fries were so fluffy and delicious! The vegetarian burger was also very tasty. If we could’ve, I’d have tried the fig and cheese flatbread and the spicy eggs, and watermelon salad. As a vegetarian we felt completely spoilt for choice! Excellent service as well!

They have good food and staff. The servers are all friendly and kind. They have vegetarian menus.

They had good music too.

We only need to wait for 10min and they served us drink while waiting.
They took credit cards as well.

Many of hvar restaurants don't take credit cards.

It’s a very popular place and the wait for us was an hour. It was so well worth it. We had the chimichurri potatoes, chicken burrito and pulled pork.The portion sizes are generous and the flavor on point.
