La Bocca - Pizza, pasta, grill restaurant Hvar

Came here last fall, and I’m still dreaming about the meal. 5 stars doesn’t even begin to fully capture how I feel about this place.

My friends and I split a few things, and everything I tried was delicious. I only grabbed two pics, but the rest live on in my memory.

Great pizza.
We took Dolce Vita and Vegetarian Supreme and they were both great. They are both vegetarian. The olive oil is included in price (normal and hot one). Pizza is quite expensive but prices are really similar to other pizza places in Hvar town. The rest of the Hvar island has cheaper pizzas (about 3-5€ cheaper per pizza). 100% recommend. I would visit this place again.

Just a great place all around!

My husband and I were walking by La Bocca as we were headed out to a late lunch when we stopped to look at the menu. The owner, Josip, greeted us in a very nice and not pushy way.

We explained we were looking for a vegetarian burger. He showed us on the menu where they could substitute their meat burger for a vegan patty and they would also substitute regular fries for sweet potato fries!

I also found other vegetarian dishes on the menu so we stayed. And we are very glad we did!

Josip waited on us the remainder of our stay which ended up being about two hours. It was late in the afternoon so only two other guests. This was fantastic for us as we got to ‘know’ Josip all the while enjoying amazing service and excellent food, in a slow relaxed atmosphere!

Our good was very good. Served with nice presentation and with excellent flavors. My husband had the vegetarian burger with sweet potato fries. He enjoyed everything about it. The brioche bun was toasted yet soft. Tasty patty along with cheddar cheese. Large serving of fries too!

I absolutely loved my spinach risotto - the rice was cooked perfectly- especially yummy with the added shaved parmesan cheese Josip brought me! I also had a mixed salad that was of higher quality than the usual side salad. This was was large abd included corn kernels and mixed greens.

Our experience was more like visiting an old friend which now I can call Josip a new friend. We exchanged stories and shared about us as he shared about himself. Along with this time of chatting, we all enjoyed a couple glasses of different wines.

Wow how kind! As we left, we had a photo taken with our new friend and promised to see him next fall on our annual visit.

The day we visited, 30/9/2021 was to be their last day in operation for ‘the season’. (They will reopen in the spring as many establishments do here on Hvar). See you next year! Enjoy the time off, have fun with your family and congrats on that new baby arriving in a month.

We been there for dinner last night 5 people. They had perfect table for us, they offered us apperitiv as welcome drink. Food is very good and service is lovely and polite. See you next year La Bocca!

We had a great experience at La Bocca with completely amazing service and good food. After trying out many different restaurants in split and Hvar we were very happy to finally get some good food and meet nice staff. Personal favorite was the burrata and they also have great rose wine and local wines. Definitely the place to visit if you are looking for tasty food and wine!

Best breakfast ever! We had the breakfast burger and the spicy egg shakshouka and both were so wholesome and tasty. The burger came with sweet potato fries and eggs came with freshly baked bread! So so good! Don’t miss this!

Great food! Don’t let the central town square location turn you away. I had the Dolce Vida Pizza and would come back for it, no question. Absolutely delicious! Paired with some local wine and super friendly staff! A wonderful place to have a meal!

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the warmest welcome by the friendly staff. They made me feel right at home, even though I was in a foreign country. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with cozy blankets at every table. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, it was out of this world! The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, each bursting with flavors. Not only was the food delicious, but the portion sizes were generous as well. I left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied and content. The service throughout the evening was top-notch. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and always had a smile on their faces. They were more than happy to answer any questions I had and made sure that I had everything I needed. Overall, my experience at this restaurant in was absolutely delightful. The combination of friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and incredible food made it a truly memorable dining experience. If you ever find yourself in Hvar, I highly recommend giving this place a visit. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Had a simple Caesar salad but it was delicious. My friend also enjoyed her Cevapcici. Good service and friendly staff.

We very nice blonde lady served us, I had a dalmatian classic seafood dish and my husband went for pizza

It was soooo yummy, amazingly relaxed vibe on the square

We had some beautiful local white wine and we even got a free round from the bar

The main server was over the top. Sat us down and we requested two wines to try prior to ordering the bottle. Well, what a preofessilbal and kind service.
The pizza came and it was extra spicy. He immediately made another one on the house without question.

I was obsessed with the shared tower! Seafood tasted fresh and delicious! Perfect amount I wish it had more grilled vegetables with it as it was a lot of fried stuff on the tower! But omg I would order it again 👍🏼👍🏼

Delicious pizza and friendly workers. High prices, but food was tasty.

So I chose this place for breakfast and wasn’t disappointed at all. One thing I loved about my breakfast was that it was super filling a yummy. If you are going to be someone who can’t eat it all, you can easily split the breakfast between two and order for a juice separately. The orange juice served was really yummy and fresh. The price for the breakfast was 70 Kunas and was value for money. The staff was very friendly cooperative and suggestive. Happy to alter the menu as per your choice

My friends and i were starving when we came across La Bocca for some lunch. This restaurant did not disappoint. We started off with some appetizers towers which were absolutely delicious. The appetizers tower had chicken, beef, flautas and wings just to name a few things.
