Very relaxing and beautiful beach. water was very clear and clean. Be aware the beach has large pebbles so you need beach shoes.

Very beautiful beach, with very clear water!! White pebbles beach. There's a bar/restaurant.
We walked about 40 minutes from Hvar centre by the sea, very pleasant!

Very nice beach with clear water, there’s two ways to go there, the longer and flat way or going down a pebble cliff. There’s not so many facilities and only two restaurants, one only accept cash but there’s an atm inside. Go early because the place get crowded between 12pm and 3pm. Sun beds are €20 per day. There’s no public toilets or showers.

Nice beach close to Hvar town. Good parking facility if you try to arrive earlier, we arrived around 10am and we had a lot of area to park. The beach itself is nice with clean transparent water, coffee shops and restaurants.

Nice pebbly beach! We hiked there from the port. It was quite a climb even in mild weather. So carry a hat and take small breaks. The views are amazing, though! Totally worth it. It’s a small beach and also had a bar, although it was closed when we went. I’d recommend good shoes to hike up there or arrive by car. Also, don’t forget your water shoes!

Beautiful beach
Stunning clear water with many friendly fish - great for snorkelling
Lovely beach bar with excellent cocktails - I'd recommend the strawberry Pina colada
Easy access in the sea by way of a ladder if you can't brave the stones
Bit of a treacherous treck down if you follow the stony path down the hill through the pines - the beach does have other access points though
Sunbeds are €20 each - I think umbrellas are €30. In line with the prices all over hvar

Amazing beach close to Hvar old town.

Know there is beach close to center, but I strongly recommend you to drop by here.

It’s totally apart from city and you’re able to enjoy sunbathing & swimming fully.

There is also a restaurant, so enjoy your resting here.

Beautiful pebble beach with very clear water! It’s a bit of a rocky hike from town if you follow the route from Google Maps. You can also take the route along the coast, which is longer but much easier. You can get a taxi back to town for 20€ if you ask the guy at the hut to call it for you. I suggest bringing water shoes if you have them!

Lovely beach easy to reach on foot from the old town. There are two bars, which offer a good variety of food and drinks. Half of the beach is free, otherwise two beds and one umbrella cost 50 euros. Definitely pricey but very comfortable.

Gorgeous beach, cristal clear waters.
Pebbly beach, so I’d bring water shoes.
Has a few cafe and little ice cream shop, sun beds are €20.

We had an amazing time spending a day at Pokonji Dol Beach. We started off by taking a refreshing swim in the crystal clear water, which was an incredible experience. After that, we spent some time sunbathing on the pebble beach while enjoying the soothing sea breeze and the lovely scent of pine trees surrounding the beach. It was such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that we didn't want to leave. Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple, or a family, Pokonji Dol Beach is definitely worth a visit for a day of nature and tranquility.

Spent a lovely afternoon at this beach. While it is a rocky, we found it perfectly comfortable once you are laying down. There are chairs for rent for 20€ a pop, which was a little pricey for us. Instead we rented an umbrella for 10€ which provided some much needed shade. Rented a snorkel as well for 7€ and was pleased to see a bunch of fish and not a single urchin (if that is a concern). A totally reasonable walk from town along the sea road. Definitely our favourite beach within walking distance of Hvar.

We walked to this beach over the hill from Hvar which was shorter and more hardwork than the costal road, but offered nice views of the bay on the way. The beach and sea was clean, with clear blue water so I highly recommend this beach. Just keep a lookout for sea urchins!!

The best beach in Hvar! The structure is very good, they rent sun loungers and umbrellas for KN 120, it's kind of expensive but at least you don't have to lay down on the rocks, because there's no sand, only rocks. The water is really clear, very beautuful. There are three restaurants on the beach, so you can have lunch there and enjoy your day at the beach.

Really nice. You have some walking to do from the harbour but it is worth it. There is a restaurant also. And you can come with a car there is plenty of parking space. It is in a whole a great beach

Great pebble beach with a super clear water and lobster remotely so not a lot of people come here. This was our first beach ever we have visited on Hvar, back in 2009

Very nice beach. Big swimming area, clean seaside, ladders along the rocks to easy access the water.

Superb calm beach that’s perfect for swimming and located less than 20min from the center of Hvar along the lungomare promenade (please ignore Google Maps directing you to climb first up a steep a hill then down an even steeper gravel path) — the seaside road is absolutely flat all the way

The best beach in town. Pebble beach rather than rocky like everywhere else, so you have an easy access to water and a comparingly comfortable place to lay- if you lay on the ground. Wonderful place for snorkeling- sandy seabed and beautiful fish. They also provide sunbeds and umbrellas (200 kunas for 2 beds and 1 umbrella). Drinks and ice-cream are provided nearby. Also important to note that sun sets earlier due to a nearby mountain covering the sunset- in June the sun set hid behind the mountain at 6:30pm.

Very nice beach. It can be a trek from the main area but didn’t feel too crowded when I went (on a Tuesday) but could see how it can get crowded. 20€ for a bed but you can bring your own towel and lay out on the beach.

It’s a rocky beach (as most are in Croatia) so bring some water shoes.
