Konoba "Luviji Rooftop"

Wow!! What an experience! Very friendly staff! Food was very good, my Steak was not perfectly baked (Steak needs to rest when baked) but taste was very good. The pasta with mussels and scampy was very good. It took some time to get the bill, but that is the only remark 😀

This restaurant is amazing. Staff is very welcoming. The food was served by rounds so it would not get cold (the steak). Absolutely loved everything about the dinner we had there. Oh almost forgot about the view: STUNNING!

We came across this restaurant by accident, but are very glad we did! The rooftop view is beautiful, and the seafood was the best we’ve had in Croatia. The octopus Al forno was the highlight- tender, generous portion of octopus with potatoes, courgette and tomato soaking up the tasty juices. The spicy risotto was also lovely- hint of spice with creamy sauce, mussels and prawns. Service was very friendly, and the chef even came out to check every table was enjoying themselves which was very sweet. This place isn’t cheap, as Hvar is an expensive island but this is good value for money and we would definitely recommend this place, especially over the offerings near to the harbour. We paid around 90€ for a couple of cocktails, couple of glasses of local (tasty) wine, pasta with seafood, risotto and octopus. Hvala!

We came across this restaurant by chance whilst exploring hvar old town, and we’re so glad that we did. It was the best restaurant we’d visited over the week. We’ve been to different parts of Croatia 3 years in a row now and this is by far our favourite restaurant in Croatia! The food was amazing! Perfectly cooked. We had the filet steak with mushroom sauce x2 and a filet steak. It was a relaxed atmosphere with stunning views! The waiters were very attentive and more than happy to make recommendations, they knew everything about the menu even down to how the foods sourced/prepared. The chef even came out to ask us if everything was ok - we’ve never had that before! And also said goodbye as we left. I can’t recommend this place enough, it really sets the bar high in terms of all round quality. We hope to visit again soon!

Great place in the backlane of the main Pjaca in Hvar; not easy to find but well worth visiting. Great atmosphere on the rooftop of an old family house with views of the cathedral and the fortress. When the cathedral bells start chiming, you stop eating and enjoy the sound and the fact that you are there. Traditional food, like the Hvar gregada (various kinds of fish, mussels, and prawns cooked with potatoes and herbs), is excellent. The hotel is run by a family of wine makers, so that they serve there own wine. Đurđa, the owner, runs the place in an impeccable way. One of the best restaurants in Hvar serving traditional food.

Exquisite Dalmatian cuisine, short and simple menu so you can’t go wrong. If you like warm ambience combined with hospitality and tasteful food you’re on the spot.

The atmosphere of the place itself is superb, a little cut off from all the noise and action of busy Hvar streets. View on the church, the Fortress, and Hvar roofs. The service also supports the mood of the place, they are friendly, down to earth and happy to chat.

This was some of the best food I’ve had in Croatia and the service was also great. I had the “al forno” sea bass with vegetables, which was exceptional - simple ingredients, treated well and cooked to perfection. Make sure you get some bread to soak up all of the delicious sauce left in the pan. The house white was also lovely and suited the fish well. Thank you again to the waiters who were attentive and kind, I’ll definitely be back!

We had travelled all the way from Canada and let me tell you, there is no place like Konoba "Luviji Rooftop” - Hvar. We had eaten gourmet meals in Italy, USA and Canada, and Konoba "Luviji Rooftop got them beat. Superb service and attention to details, BEST FOOD and EXPERIENCE.
Servers and staff at Konoba "Luviji Rooftop should be teaching classes to other restaurants on how to properly treat their customers. Special thanks Ivan, Luka and Duje.

This place is fantastic! Hidden away in the back streets you need to know about it to find it. The rooftop is awesome with great views of the city. Much more casual and slightly less expensive than the popular restaurants in the main area but the food was so amazing! The chef even came round the tables during our meal to check everything was ok. Our waiter was great too! We arrived without a booking and they squeezed us in on the middle floor before finding a table for us and then had fantastic menu and wine recommendations. This was one of our favourite meals in Hvar! The burrata and tuna steak was fantastic!

The best restaurant in the city of Hvar, maybe on the whole island! Forget all the shiny, show-off places at the harbor and come to this place, where you can eat on a lovely little rooftop-terrace! The service is excellent and the food even better, that means unforgettable good! The first time we went there, one of the waiters recommended me "Burratta" as a starter: Never before have I eaten something so simple, but so delicous: Mozzarella, dried tomatoes, olives and pesto - an explosion of combinatory tastes! You have to experience it! As a main dish my wife and me shared "Gregada", which is a lokal speciality: Pieces of white fish with potatoes and vegetables, cooked in white wine! Gorgeous! This won't have been the last time, we went there! We'll come back!!!!

We had a wonderful dinner here on the rooftop terrace (up a few flights of stairs). You can see the sunset and the fortress in the distance. This is a very local place and they serve their own delicious wines by the bottle or glass, grown right in Hvar. Our server was very helpful and friendly - highly recommended!
