Pharos - Hvar Bayhill Hotel

Great pool / bar area with a nice vibe. Pool bar food was good, cocktails felt a little weak. Hotel was very modern and breakfast was nice. Walls felt paper thin and we could hear the conversation of people in the room next door. Luckily we weren't disturbed at night, but you wouldn't sleep well if anyone was loud at night.

Great hotel, with nicely appointed, clean and tidy rooms.

Breakfast buffet was really good, with plenty of choices.

The club sandwich from the pool bar menu is outstanding. Pool area was really clean and good quality drinks.

All staff I encountered were extremely friendly and helpful.

The hotel is well situated for Hula beach bar, as well as Hvar centre itself justba short walk to each.

Clean rooms. Nice hotel. Very nice staff. The people complaining in these reviews are ridiculous. Yes, it’s a 10 min walk uphill from the center but do your research… you want a 5 star hotel with a helicopter to lift you to your room? then go pay $600-$1000 a night somewhere else… This place is a great. Highly recommend. Will stay here again in the future

Good value hotel. Great pool area and fantastic choice of breakfast. Just be prepared for short walk up the hill from port side or alternatively get a taxi. That said , only a 10 minute walk down the pathway to the promenade.

Like the fact that it pays off for the price given. The rooms are spacious, 2 children with us have their own room in the suite, the terrace is huge. The pool is great for entertainment and the pool bar provides everything you need. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that the housecleaning went around in the afternoon when my son was asleep, so we skipped it, but they provided us with everything. The best of all, it is only 5 minutes walk to the center of Hvar.

Rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast choices were generous and the pool was a real highlight. Extensive selection of drinks and food, and the staff were great. Able to sit poolside with your drink and towels were readily available. Make sure you have flat heels or wedges ladies - it’s a steep hill walk to town, but that didn’t stop us.

Had a wonderful stay at pharos. Made staying in Hvar much more enjoyable. Koca provided me with excellent 5 star service and gave me a lot of information to make my time on the island an unforgettable experience. Would recommend

The pool house is comfortable, the restaurant is very tasty with lots of choices and the room was spacious and clean.
The staff is kind and welcoming.
Bonus: the location is very convenient with a nice view.

Absolute great experience. We checked in and let them know it was our honeymoon and were treated with a bottle of champagne! The rooms were spacious with a large walkin shower and great views of the water. Everyone that worked here was very kind and willing to assist.... A must stay when visiting hvar

Great hotel located a 10 minute walk out of downtown. Tip- take the seawall not the stairs through the alleys - it’s scenic and flat until the ramp leading up to the hotel. The place is modern and the rooms are very nice. Pool is great and the breakfast is pretty good. All around, nothing to complain about. It is a much younger crowd here, so I could see it getting rowdy at times.

Great hotel and a 15 min walk from the port which is convenient. Very close to all the bars and restaurants.

The room was clean and had a safe and fridge. House keeping is available daily. Bottle water can be purchased from the hotel bar for 30 Kuna. There's a staff present 24/7.

Breakfast is from 630 to 10. We went there at 930 and the food was pretty much gone and it was not refilled so recommend going early. Pool isn't kept tidy and unfortunately bottles and trash are left behind.

Staff is friendly and accommodating. You can see the sunset from the hotel which is beautiful. I recommend.

Loved our stay at Pharos. The manager invited us to check in early as the room was ready and really went above expectations. The breakfast buffet was okay but the menu was better. The hotel was a short 10 minute walk to the port (although uphill to get to the hotel) and they don't have elevators (warning if you have heavy bags). Nice pool area and great views out over the sea.

I love this place! Beautiful hotel, very modern, with amazing feel. Great location, easy walk to downtown and the sea. Very friendly staff. Also, air conditioning worked great, which we needed as we were there in July.

I can't wait to visit Hvar again, and when I do I will stay here again! Highly recommend!

Clean, comfortable. Cool decor. We had to leave before breakfast, so they packed a nice lunch-to-go for us. No elevators and as many as three flights of stairs depending on which floor your room is on. Short walk to Old Town down a nice path (with stairs steps). Friendly, helpful staff. The air conditioning worked well. We had a poolside beautiful view of the sea. The room was quiet. We would stay there again.

First class Hotel, though we were in one of the penthouse suites and very hard to fault other than not having a shaving socket. Though an adapter was found. We has a great time and certainly if we come back to Hvar again, a return stay could be in order

Reasonably priced hotel away from the noise of central Hvar. Hotel appears to be aimed at younger guests with chic decoration and a focus on sports promotion.
The rooms were clean and stylish, a/c good, beds ok, bathroom very good.
Had dinner in the bar one evening and the Calamari was excellent.
Be warned though, there are no lifts and there is a bit of a climb to the hotel. If you get off the ferry look for the white sprinter van and they'll take your luggage up the hill. Competitively priced.

Really nice modern hotel where the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable and spacious. The apartments are quite modern and big, also offered nice views of the bay (sea view room). Breakfast was a buffet with a wide range of food, would cater for everyone. Food was also good quality, be it breakfast or food by the pool. The pool itself is very nice, it was clean and there was plenty of loungers available with umbrellas. The bar by the pool also has a good selection of drink/food and is reasonable. It’s in a good location close enough to the main area, a 5/10 minute walk to the centre.

Only drawback I had Was that it was stairs everywhere, didn’t see any lifts if there was any. Awkward to move big luggage around. I presume staff would help if you asked as they were helpful.

I will stay here the next time I’m in Hvar.

Great hotel, spacious rooms, very comfortable for a good price, there's a big swimming pool and restaurants, it is not noisy, and the breakfast is fantastic. Staff are very helpful. The location is great because you can walk to the city centre in 10 minutes Max, there's an open air cinema at two minutes with food films, a nice beach at 5 mns and hvar is a great place to visit. So I definitely recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel for me in the best location as it is 5 minutes from the center in a quiet area. Very nice rooms and very helpful staff. The rooms are big with great view. The breakfast was amazingggggg ! For me the hotel totally worth four stars !!!!

Great little resort style hotel where you can remain resonably self-contained up on the the hill.

Getting here can be a little tricky if you are dragging luggage with you. It really is at the top of a hill and up a number of stairs at the start of the journey. Doing this is the Hvar heat really is a challenge.

Welcomed by wonderful air conditioning in the lobby area, be advised that check in is at 2pm, which may see you enjoying a frosty beer either inside as you cool down, or outside in the shade before being able to check in.

Rooms (double) are small and this leaves you almost no space to move about. Cute design and a small snack bar that is a little too convenient. Air conditioning is a life saver during the summer months.

Breakfast buffet is huge and out on the patio is ideallic, just watch out for all the wasps as they are attracted to the juices and fruits. I only sat outside on the first day.

Lunch and dinner options are great and available to take away back to your room. Make sure you try the local wine, its absolutely delicious.

If you want to spend some time by the pool, there is a little bar that has a daily special on the drinks menu. I would also recommend that you get to poolside early, as the places go quickly, and the sun can get quite savage.

Take a trip down the hill and experience some of the famous beach bars and a cool little craft brewery.
