Val Marina Restaurant

Our dinner for 4 here was a meal to remember. First, the service was outstanding - it rivals the best I've had anywhere. The food, from appetizers, mains, and desserts were crafted by very skilled hands, and the care for detail and passion really shows. Everything was exceptionally fresh and delicious, and I'm already looking to see when I can come back to Hvar, to eat here. Greetings from Canada!

Really special evening at val marina! The welcome Prosecco and generous appetiser are a lovely touch. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. We had the steak sharer for 2, truffle fries and asparagus. All were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the steak well rested. The kitchen happily obliged our request to cook without dairy. Very good Zinfandel paired perfectly with the steak. Not cheap but nowhere in Hvar town is cheap - overall we thought it was really good value compared with the other restaurants around the harbour. Would love to go back!

Very good service and the food was delicious too. Quite well priced and not a typical tourist trap (despite being located in front of the port) there was even a celebration on the table next to us who had some lovely musicians performing traditional croatian songs which made for a lovely night.

We have recently arrived Hvar and wasn’t sure on where to go however the menu looked amazing and the food was even better! Vlad served us and he exceptionally polite and went all out for us! Hopefully will return again in the week

Delicious meal in a beautiful and peaceful setting - highly recommend the mussels, the lobster bisque, the risotto, the carrots and the octopus.

Amazing and stylish food in a romantic environment! I had a traditional lamb that was splendid. Excellent staff, really lovely and attentive to details 🤩 This place was the right choice for our last dinner in Hvar

We attempted to book via insta before arrival but was fully booked for the evening we had hoped for. They were very accommodating and booked us in for another evening.
The food was one of the best meals we had on the island with great wine, service and lovely setting.

Marco was the best server - very attentive and helpful with menu choices. Him, his colleague and the rest of the staff provided a lovely atmosphere and dining experience. Get the lobster bisque, pasta langun, and affagato for dessert!

We had a lovely evening at Val Marina while staying at the Adriana Hotel. On arrival we were given a complimentary glass of Prosecco which was a great touch. We were sat right against the balcony overlooking the stunning Hvar marina, it was spectacular.

Ilija, our host for the evening, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about all the wines on offer and gave us lots of insight into Croatian wines. He was super friendly and made us feel very welcome throughout the entire evening, and made the evening more special.

After the complimentary starter homemade bread, tomato and balsamic vinegar, we both hod tuna steak for the main course, with asparagus and carrot side dishes. It was a very generous portion and tasted superb.

The meal was finished off with a homemade brandy, which again was a lovely touch. All in all the experience at Val Marina was excellent; the location is as good as it gets, the service from Ilija was impeccable and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend.

One of the best meals we had Dash I love the fact that they brought us a whole tomato and artichokes so that we could make a custom salad – I would absolutely make this a must do restaurant when we come back

We had an amazing time. The service was fantastic, the food was decadent and delicious, and the location and view was incredible. We were also given champagne, bread and fresh tomato, and coffees on the house. This place deserves its rating, and it is truly a gem on the other side of the harbour from the more ‘busy’ area. This made for a peaceful, pleasant and enjoyable dinner with friends where we could chat.

Great aperol and choice of drinks, great coffee, best service Vlado, Mate, Zoran (hopefully I spelled it right haha:D). Awesome cafe bar, would love to come back! Seating right at the port, everything awesome!

Great food, vibe and 5 star service by Vlade, our waiter. The lamb was cooked to absolute perfection!

The steak for two was delicious and we got a table with a nice view. Make sure to book beforehand as it was very busy

The best food we have had in Croatia. We had an amazing steak, octopus and rack of lamb. Vlads service and hospitality is one of a kind. Highly recommend

A great experience, probably the best tuna I’ve ever had. Our waiter and the complimentary snacks and drinks made the slightly higher price totally worth it.

Perfect Service, amazing food and I even learned some croatian from Vlado. The direct view of the marina supplements the experience well and makes the visit an unforgettable experience.

Great service, and food was amazing. 10/10 would recommend. Very accommodating for my vegan preference
