Tesco Extra

Purley Tesco makes shopping a pleasurable experience. Transport isnt a problen as there's a massive car park, a dedicated bus and very close to Purley train station.
The range of food is unbelievable and the prices are comparable to other Tesco stores.

There are 2 levels, the top floor (which is accessible via travellator and lift) holds a Costa coffee, TU clothes store, electronics and homeware. Food and groceries are located on the lower floor.

There's everything you need here! It's truly an amazing place!

Loads of parking...very conveniently located. Store is huge with sections of items are clearly marked.
Trolleys are placed well and can be obtained with £1 coins.

Entrance to the store from main road isn't well marked and first timers can easily miss it but don't worry you'll end up in roundabout and can make it to store in 2nd attempt.

Tesco fuel station sells fuel at lower prices than other standard places out there.

Huge store! Lots of different products for food and then some. Large selection of ready meals, cereals, frozen foods, etc. They have an international food section as well as plants, clothes, household items. The grocery store is downstairs and clothing is upstairs. They have coffee to go.

Really nice and pleasant store to use. The staff are friendly and helpful. What more could you ask for....

Open 24 hrs (6 days a week - open until 5pm on Sunday). Good selection of groceries, toys, clothes etc. Costa coffee upstairs - open until 7pm (4.30 pm Sunday). Big car park and petrol station. 2 cash machines. (Recycling bins in carpark too!).

I really love the Tesco extra, you have plenty of options available to buy … you have even clothing on the upper floor and a Costa coffee. It's very spacious, and you can find almost everything you need for groceries. Even after COVID-19, it is open again 24 hours, so it is very handy if you need something urgent to buy.

Relatively trouble free shop - first of the year. Could have done with two more tills being in service as it was fairly busy (at least four were shut). Parking bays are too narrow!

Well stocked, i try to shop in the morning to avoid the rush later on as the queues to pay can be frustrating. Lately have been always playing nice music in the store :)

Just want to say a massive thank you to Julie & Kerry in the clothing department for assisting me with a rather big order of children’s clothing. They saved me from trawling through the racks trying to find a number of specific items, by getting everything ready in the stock room for me to simply collect the next day. As a Trustee of a charity time is of the essence and they not only saved a lot of my time, but they also did it willingly, with a smile on their faces and couldn’t have been more helpful. If anyone needs any help in Tesco Purley, just ask!

Here's a place where you can do a big shop and more. I came here especially to purchase kids trainers, and I succeeded. Luckily they have a good range of shoes and clothes here. Very good, especially at the moment when other shops are not open yet. Very clean and Covid safe.

Live close by so here nearly every day and is pretty great, everything you need under one roof. Open 24 hours and serves booze all that time, upstairs electronic area closes at 10pm. Can't buy cigarettes and night either.

Very helpful and polite staff, always in good amounts of stock.

Also they have a hot food section which is great, they usually have chicken wings, chicken thighs, spicy chicken Fillet, chicken nuggets and sausage. It is open from around 11amish

I have to share how wonderful Tesco Purley was today. At this time I don’t enjoy shopping or have much time for it!
I needed harder to get things so thought I would brave a bigger shop.
They are allowing NHS workers to go to the front of the queue!! Absolutely amazing way to reward them!!
How organised and pleasant the staff were, ensuring we were all safe, cleaning through the store and keeping us all moving.
No queues at the check outs.
I would definitely recommend this fantastic store and have no problems recommending them.

The manager Natasha went above and beyond to meet our expectations. She delivered a service second to none and went the extra mile.

She is a true asset to Tesco and one of the most helpful people we have met In years.

I love this store...clean and tidy...friendly staff and always well stocked.

My visit to the stores on Wednesday 13th March was very pleasant. Good place to shop, Very helpful staff in the clothing department. Thank you especially to the young lady there who tried to help find an item of clothing and two other ladies that also spent time to help look for it in the childrens' section of that department. Spacious store where you can find almost everything.
The staff there are friendly and helpful as well.

Also discovered the Yo Sushi stall there.
Fresh and delicious sushi.
Tried the beets and green and loved it.

Good place for shopping.
