I took up crochet and was passing this place,thought I'd go in n look.I was surprised by the amount of wool and varied range of colours they had. Will most definitely go there again.We did have a look round the rest of the shop and reckon it caters for all hobbies and all ages.

This is a great shop. Absolutely loads of stock for all hobbies . You can also order online and collect from store. Staff are very helpful. Parking can be limited at times if store is busy.

The staff were so helpful, such a great shop with all my artistic needs.
Much go back soon.

If you like crafting this store is definitely worth a visit. It's very well laid out and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I love this place, selling everything from sharpie pens over fabric and yarn to baking accessories and seasonal decorations. I've purchased some papier-mache letters and yarn to make a Halloween decoration and a lovely trick or treat sign. I also had purchased a hot glue gun and more yarn for my pompom craft. If you love crafting, a visit is a must.

This shop has so many ideas for Christmas gifts. I boght 6 suncatchers together with colouring psints. I will be going back

Well stocked hobby shop and got what I was looking for.

Couldn’t fault my visit to Colchester Hobbycraft, not that I was trying to.
A wonderful amount of, well, pretty much any craft you care to want to try, or continue.
Price wise it’s very good too, quality products will always attract a premium price but it’s still affordable and good quality.
I went over to buy an easel and found an incredibly helpful staff member who helped me choose the right one.
The staff are always friendly, and as far as my experience goes, helpful too.
Sometimes it pays to buy quality rather than cheaper items.
Lots of free onsite parking and ideally located for other stores too.
Visit, you won’t be disappointed

Good staff and a great store

Wonderful array of arts and craft materials and supplies available here for all age ranges : from lino kits and glue guns to ceramic beads sold by the pot-load to high end die-cutting machines.
The staff are always very knowledgeable, friendly & helpful and nothing seems too much trouble.
At Christmas time especially it would be hard to leave empty-handed!

All on ground level with wide opening automatic doors straight from it's own car park.

Store has pretty much everything you could ever need for crafts, ample parking and very easy to get to

great selection for every crafting need, be it model making, sewing, knitting, paper craft etc .
it is especially great around this time of year (Nov/Dec), when they are stocked up with Christmas decoration ideas, for the kids to make.
If you join their club, you get birthday vouchers along with other discount or money vouchers throughout the year.
We can spend hours in this shop, and i thoroughly recommend.
