I was at Dunelm Colchester this morning to buy table protector by the metre. I was served by a young man, I didn’t get his name, who gave excellent service. He was very polite, professional and attentive and didn’t get flustered when 2 other customers needed help. Big thanks to him for a great experience. He is a real credit to the store.

Alice helped two distressed customers (ourselves) with information on curtains, the varieties, and poles/tracks. She really did come to our aid when we would have walked out of the store because we weren’t able to decide on colours and the sizes weren’t perfect fits. She displayed a lot of patience and is able to explain herself so clearly, putting us at ease and ultimately saving the transaction we made. Not so much a store review, but one which hopefully gets back to her management team.

Store in itself would receive four stars.

If you are kitting out a home like into a new home or you are refreshing a home , this the place to come got everything covered.
If you fancy a coffee or food there’s a outlet upstairs in a clean environment.
Friendly staff to help out .

The store was recently renovated to add an upper floor and expanded cafe. It's made all the difference! Everything is now much easier to find, the floor plan is easier to navigate and facilities are accessible and more inclusive.

Staff are friendly and helpful and always give you a happy welcome.

The best bit of all is the in-store café. We now visit just for this! Nice little menu of tasty treats, reasonably priced. Staff are really nice, very helpful, assist with information and carrying trays etc. The café is clean and pleasantly lit. The seating is thoughtfully arranged. Great place for a cuppa and a natter or to have lunch with children, friends ... Love that they're trying to make it a free community space too, for book clubs, choirs....

The café gets busy but the staff stay efficient and cheerful. This review gets extra stars for them!

Recently increased the size of the premises by adding a new floor, which includes a cafe (haven't tried it yet but looked comfortable) and toilets. Also, on this floor is an extensive range of ready-made curtains and a good selection of material for bespoke ones, too, including a small selection of furniture.
Lift and stairs to ground floor which has an extensive choice of virtually everything you would need for the home including a good choice of lighting.
The floor staff were really helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend a visit.

Wow what a lovely experience in store today. I can't rate Bill high enough, he was so informative about the rugs in store, super helpful and overall a delight, had me and my partner laughing throughout. He truly is an asset to the colchester store, full of humour and extremely polite. Also the manager of the store is really friendly and helped us choose some vegan nibbles in the cafe. Great customer service throughout. Thank you.

Just been to the newly refurbished shop and it's beautiful the stock is in abundance and really good prices. Staff very helpful and polite

This store has recently been refitted. As such, it's far brighter and stocks a wide range of home items. However, it clearly doesn't trust its customers. This is because the Dorma bedding selection is displayed in locked cabinets!

For all your home needs, from curtains to towels. All at a very reasonable price.

Went into store last week and was helped by Katrina, she was very helpful and went out of her way to help me as much as she could. She even went to the lengths of contacting another store for the item I was looking for as it was not in stock at my local shop. Fantastic customer service.

It's a nice store overall, has recently been refurbished. The cafe is lovely and spacious now that it is located upstairs. Fair prices and delicious. Would definitely recommend a visit.

A well stocked shop with aisles big enough for wheelchair access. It also has toilets available while most other shops in the area don't. I'm not sure if they are wheelchair accessible but it certainly made my cross-legged wife happy!

Wonderful shop with good selection of household items in each department.

Jason who helped us in selecting two rugs was SUPERB, he really wanted to help and placed rugs of the floor to help us compare them. Wonderful customer service and experience. Nothing was too much trouble.

Always have enjoyed going to this store, always looked after by staff.
Plenty of parking and level access and customer toilets.
