This place is awesome. It has so many options for buying food stuffs without any packaging. Everything from pasta to rice to oats and spices.
It’s also extremely simple:
You go in with your jars, tubs, bags etc the staff will tare them off on the scales. Write on them how heavy they are and that will be taken off once you’ve decided what to fill them with.

They also have a jar and bottle drop so if you don’t have a jar with you then you can pick up a (free!) jar to take your produce home.

They also do a wide range of cleaning products and home items. It’s really worth dropping in as the products they do are constantly growing.

Finally! I have been looking for a shop like this last year, when I started looking into a less wasteful lifestyle, but couldn’t find one that would be close enough to home.
I went to check it out today and loved it!! They have everything you need, pantry, cleaning, bath etc. Loads of products and great prices. It is actually cheaper than buying stuff in packaging!

Amazing range of eco friendly products and loose foods. Bring your old jars/containers and fill them up! As well as staples like rice n pasta etc look out for yummy treats like Medjool dates, parsnip crisps and salad 4-seed toppings. Cleaning products are at the back of the shop. Very friendly staff who will help you work out how to shop without packaging!

This is a fantastic shop with helpful, friendly staff. I have hugely reduced the amount of rubbish I have to put in the bin since shopping here. Particular recommendations: the peanut butter machine (kids and adults love it), the spiced organic loose leaf chai. Makes the best chai latte you will ever have in this country, and the apple washing up liquid. Dried sour cherries are amazing too and the spelt bread. I could go on!!

This was my first zero waste shop visit . I had my own containers but wasn't sure what the process was for buying things. The young lady at the counter was super helpful and showed me how to use the dispensers. Both ladies answered questions I had about the wax sheets and tips for what to do with my plastic bags I had at home. They had a wide selection of food and cleaning products and sold jars if you didn't have any. Really enjoyed my experience and will be back! Thanks :)

Fantastic to have this refill facility. Make a pilgrimage there even 6 weeks or so to stock up. Great selection of food, washing liquids and everything else a refill shop should have

Wonderful refill shop! They've got so many options, from loose-leaf teas, pasta, grains, flour etc, to cleaning products of all kinds. Great choice of hard soaps and things like biodegradable bin bags and recycled toilet paper too. The staff are really helpful and friendly, they make anyone feel very welcome.

A great shop to have, it’s a little out of the way for me but the range is great so I make a special trip. You can buy just what you need and refill your containers which is much cheaper for some products and helps us to reuse packaging rather than waste and buy new. Great range of spices, dried goods, teas and cleaning products. A lot of the produce is organic and really good quality/tasty.

This is my new favourite shop ever. I thought package free shopping would be expensive, time consuming and not the place to get quality products. I was very wrong. I have never bought spices so fresh and vibrant, I have been introduced to a whole host of beans and lentils. I am not in love with barley. The things you can do with it. At the moment it is only 17p per 100gm. It is time consuming because you don't just throw a pack in the shopping trolley you need to fill your own jars or bags. This is a beautiful way of shopping. You can take time to decide what you want. How much you need and where you food is coming from.

As for price. So far I have been five time and each and every time I am surprised at how much I have saved. It's not because you buy less it is actually less expensive.

It is also far better for the environment.

The SWOP is a wonderful place to be, gossip and share the excitement of environmental and sustainability issues.

This shop is a gem. Wide range of paste, rice and nuts. Also many cleaning and toilet stuff with better quality and price than branded products. On top of these you meet helpful, smiley and friendly staff.

Lovely local business to shop without waste. Great quality items, most about the same price as big shops, some a bit cheaper, some a bit pricier but all seem to be better quality. Really amazing spices. Will say that their stock is a bit inconsistent- just because it's online or advertised in the window doesn't mean they have it! But they are next to a Sainsbury's so if they're missing an essential you can always pop in there after. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I rarely feel moved enough to write reviews but.. I love this shop! organic, unfiltered, sustainable and fair trade products, huge range of products, you can even buy shampoo and conditioner, handsoap, laundry soap etc. No plastic packaging WHATSOEVER and if you forget your own tupperware or jars, there are boxes of donated jars you can use. Friendly, knowledge staff. I wish there were more of these places! I've started on a plastic Free Journey this year, and am so happy I've found this shop

Greatly enjoyed our visit to SWOP recently. We were able to buy a large variety of dried beans, pulses and grains as well as many other useful products. Sustainable stores often have a reputation for being expensive, however I was very impressed with their prices and it has allowed us to make ethical decisions that we previously thought were not really accessible to us due to cost.

The layout is pretty soothing, so visiting the shop is an enjoyable experience, and let's not lie, it's pretty fun to dispense your own beans even if you are a grown adult. Being able to pick the exact quantities you want is incredibly convenient, and it feels great knowing that you've stocked up the cupboards without resorting to excess plastic use. It also encourages you to buy re-usable jars, and having a cupboard full of glass jars is super cute.

Staff are friendly & helpful! I sometimes feel a little intimidated to go into smaller stores, but here that was no issue. A very approachable place. Can't wait to go back as soon as it's safe to again (written at the time of the outbreak).

Small but mighty shop! They have everything you could need from oats to beans to dried fruit to fresh organic veg to hand sanitizer to laundry liquid to sustainable sponges. Everything! All for much cheaper than the supermarket. The staff are so kind and helpful. If you’re short on time you can drop your containers off, tell them how much you want of everything and pick back up later. Win for you, win for the environment, win for our community.

Love this indie shop. Great selection of sustainable bottles etc, food, and cleaning products. I'm always amazed at what they manage to pack into such a small shop. Friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit (take some containers with you!)

I just popped into this lovely little store and purchased some Earl Grey Loose Leaf tea. The ladies behind the counter were very helpful! Your range is wonderful. I hope you'll stock more blends of loose leaf tea such as fruit infusions and various blends of black tea! At least I found somewhere local that stocks one of my favourite teas. I can even reuse the jar I brought today! Thanks again for stocking my favourite teas! I'll be a regular for sure!
