Co-op Food - Bermondsey - Grange Road

Tidy, always quiet and so discreetly branded on the outside that I suspect most nearby residents don’t even realise this supermarket is here (the nearby Sainsburys and Tesco get plenty of foot traffic).

It would help if it wasn’t within a mini industrial estate, but perhaps Co-op are just ahead of the game as the factories are slowly all turned into brand new apartment towers.

If you live local this store is well worth adding to your radar!

Staff, including security, are always friendly. Give them a raise I say!

Great shop they could do with a few more staff all ways a queue at the tills

It’s only a few yards from where I live and no idea it was there, not been there yet only seen on map. Considering they’ve been making construction noise for years there, should be half price food for locals!

New and fresh and has a lot of sale items expiring on the same day. Staff are very friendly

Nice to have another supermarket in the hood. This one is nice and fresh and new and clean. Staff seem very nice and friendly. The prices of goods seem a little high; there is a good selection of wine, which seems quite reasonably priced. There are some nice higher end codes in the store which is good to have in the immediate vicinity. I think they’re still finding their feet in terms of what they need to stock and how much.

Hard to get help

Best portfolio of the 4 nearby grocers. The problem is they have now fully given up on the concept of shopping baskets. So unless you want to buy less goods than you have hands or you are a professional juggler you are better off taking your business elsewhere. A shame actually. It could be a great supermarket if the management would try to make it a professional shop

Closes at 10pm not 11pm like advertised. Sainsbury's down the road is open till 11pm and cheaper- go there instead
